Hidden pocket for Defender seats - clever storage space for travelling & everyday life Everyone knows the bits and pieces lying around in the car that are not needed all the time, but still have to be close at hand. But where do you put it? The HIDDEN BAG storage compartment for the original seats of the Land Rover Defender is easily attached via four high-tensile Velcro and fleece surfaces under the driver or front passenger seat. The bag offers storage space for the 1000 little things of everyday life such as pens, screwdrivers, pliers, multitool, flashlight, batteries for a remote control, USB stick with workshop manual, spare glasses, air pressure tester, charging cable and much more. But even a small digicam, a GPS device or other valuables are quickly out of sight and accessible. The traveler may stow a second passport, unauthorized radio or copies of their travel documents. The scope of delivery includes 4 self-adhesive and tensile Velcro strips for the seat side. The bag is attached to these Velcro strips via its 4 fleece surfaces (see pictures below). The storage bag fits perfectly under the Defender seat and, thanks to Velcro surfaces, can be easily removed and transported using the attached carrying strap. The high-quality fabric made of polyamide 6.6 ensures that the bag remains breathable and moisture and dirt are still strongly repelled. The bag has a small mesh compartment on the upper inside and a detachable intermediate compartment on the lower inside. Strong, sturdy and massively versatile, it was way ahead of its time when we introduced it in 2016. But the world is turning, evolution doesn’t favor a standstill and if you want to survive in nature, you need to keep innovating. Leaner and meaner is this new bear, the CargoBear 2.0, when he emerges from his winter den in Berg. Same load bearing strength, same solidity, same rigidity, but greatly reduced fight weight: Your 4x4 has to carry around 30 % less weight on the roof. And on top of it, the new CargoBear comes with a reduced price tag as well. How did we do it? The crucial difference lies in a new construction design. Removing the comparatively heavy longitudinal connecting beams, their structural function has been taken over by newly developed perforated HIGRIP plates between the crossbars and angled end-plates for the sides. The new design achieves (nearly) the same structural strength as its predecessor but reduces the net weight considerably. The CargoBear 2.0 has been designed for a load capacity of 300 kg off-road (with evenly distributed load). This can easily be doubled on the road. Theoretically, that is, because it’s important to make two points when it comes to roof racks. One, keep in mind that your vehicle’s centre of gravity can shift upwards considerably when carrying a roof rack with cargo, especially off-road. And two, when loading your roof rack, the limitations will most likely result from your vehicles approved roof load which in most cases will be significantly below the specifications of the rack itself. Some of the CargoBear 2.0’s features stay the same, however, because we found them hard to improve: this includes the jet-black, super-flat look, the high-performance material and the modular versatility. Furthermore, all accessories, additional components, roof tents etc. are fully compatible with the first generation. And last but not least, the old heavier CargoBear with longitudinal beams and checker plate will be continued exclusively for classic Defenders who need specific heavy-duty applications. PLEASE NOTE: In Defender with pop-up roof / lift roof, the original roof is often shortened. If necessary, the roof rack then does not fit. That’s where this nifty and inconspicuous modification comes in for Defender models Td5 and Td4 (90/110/130) – whether camping conversion, expedition vehicle or your regular standard spec Landy. Our hidden underfloor locker for the front footwell is integrated in the floor panel and thereby creates a lot more security for your valuables. Secured by a lock, dust- and watertight and in most cases hidden by floor mats, the underfloor boxes are the ideal storage space for all those extremely important small things: documents, passports, wallets, expensive electronics, gadgets, tools, medication etc. Sporting a volume of ca. 7 liters, this roughly square storage box will hold an astounding amount of your most valuable items. Since the boxes are mounted underneath the footwell floor, we make them from extremely robust, powder-coated stainless steel. For maximum off-road performance This kit consists of two half shafts and two heavy-duty drive flanges. The Raptor Heavy Duty rear shafts are made from SAE4340 Nickel Chromoly alloy steel, that provide the optimum level of strength and flex when heat-treated. They have the ability to twist without breaking as well as extremely high fatigue resistance, which enables the shafts to tolerate repeated shock loading. This ability to flex without breaking also helps protecting other drivetrain components. All shafts are 24 spline and primarily suited to post 1994 axles, although they can be fitted to earlier vehicles with additional work. Nakatanenga Lamp Bracket for Land Rover Defender The Nakatanenga lamp bracket is the answer to customer requests for a flat mounting solution for lamps on the Land Rover Defender, which does not increase the overall height of the vehicle (when the lamps are mounted hanging down) - this means that, for example, the use of an underground garage / driveway is still possible without having to do without adequate lighting. When the lamps are mounted upright, the vehicle height is minimally increased. The one-piece bracket is made entirely of stainless steel, glass bead blasted and powder coated. It has four mounting eyes for individual headlights or the feet of one or two LED bars. It also has an additional mounting eyelet in the centre (facing backwards) that can be used for a GPS or radio antenna. The support tube has openings so that the headlamp connection cables (not supplied) can be neatly routed inside it. Eyelets for attaching cable ties round off the well thought-out details. For a neat installation, we recommend the Aquasignal cable grommet for the roof (so the light bar also remains easily removable) as well as our power distributor with fuse holder. When not equipped with snorkels, XD Landy-wolves feature raised air intakes, often on both sides, to keep water, mud and dust out of the intake system. If you want to give your civilian Landy (with intake on the right) this military Wolf look, you can replace the standard grill with our Wolf XD Style Air Intake. This is not only a great visual upgrade to your Defender, but also protects your intake system from splash water, mud and dust. Due to its design, the Wolf Style intakes will already pre-filter a lot of unwanted stuff getting near your intake, especially when compared to the standard grills. So, if you’re aiming at an upgrade in design and performance, but don’t want to spend the 600 € or more for the hard-to-get original parts (ESR4570), the Wolf XD Style Air Intakes are the ones for you. Der Defender hat eine Seele, sagen viele. Vielleicht stimmt das, denn manchmal hat man wirklich diesen Eindruck. Er bringt einen überall hin, auch dorthin, wo andere längst aufgeben. Dafür braucht er Zuwendung, Werkzeug und Geduld. Er ruckelt, macht Geräusche und nimmt es mit Perfektion nicht so genau. Aber wer ihn kennt, weiß: genau das ist sein Charme. Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als an diesem Stück britischer Ingenieurskunst selbst zu schrauben oder, wenn's mit dem Schrauben hapert, wenigstens mit Fachwissen zu glänzen.

Von Stoßstange bis Schnorchel - das richtige Defender Zubehör für unterwegs
Wer einen Defender in ein Reisefahrzeug umbauen möchte, der braucht mehr als gute Laune und einen vollen Tank. Eine Seilwindenstoßstange, nicht, weil man sich selbst festgefahren hätte, nein, natürlich nur, um die anderen rauszuziehen. Wir empfehlen unsere Nakatanenga Seilwinden-Stoßstange für den Defender wahlweise im Bundle mit Seilwinden von Horntools oder Superwinch, optional mit oder ohne Fernscheinwerfer.
Aber es gibt auch Momente, da hilft kein Gebet, nur eine gute Bergung. Mit Bergeösen, Hecktraversen-Verstärkungen und Bergeboards bleibt man auch dann souverän, wenn der Boden meint, ein Abenteuer draus machen zu müssen. Alles robust, erprobt und bereit für den Ernstfall.
Wer längere Strecken abseits der Zivilisation plant, rüstet am besten gleich mit einem Zusatztank in 56 Liter oder 66 Liter auf, während der Defender-Unterfahrschutz dafür sorgt, dass spitze Steine, Wurzeln oder neugierige Felsen keine bleibenden Erinnerungen hinterlassen. Der Schnorchel für den Defender bzw. die erhöhte Luftansaugung ist natürlich Pflicht für alle, die in die Wüste wollen oder durchs Wasser müssen, wobei auch Hamburger Pfützen manchmal verdächtig tief aussehen können. Gibt es für Td4, Td5 und Tdi in verschiedenen Ausführungen für Defender mit oder ohne Überrollkäfig.
Defender-Fahrwerk, Felgen und Reifen
Kein Abenteuer ohne ordentliches Fahrwerk. Ein Defender-Fahrwerk ist keine reine Geschmacksfrage, sondern hängt davon ab, wofür der Wagen eingesetzt wird. Egal ob 90er, 110er oder 130er: Es gibt Fahrwerke für jeden Zweck, vom Familien-Daily-Driver bis zum voll beladenen Fernreisemobil. Für den richtigen Offroad-Look gesellen sich dazu beispielsweise Stahlfelgen wie unsere klassische ANR-Felge, die Wolf-Felge oder ebenso robuste Dotz Dakar.

Innenleben mit Charakter - Sportsitze für den Defender
Wer Kilometer frisst, sollte bequem sitzen. Mit neuen Sitz-Polsterungen lässt sich der alte Charme der Defender-Sitze bewahren, Sportsitze für den Defender bringen modernen Halt ins Abenteuer, und passende Sitzbezüge schonen das Material oder verstecken die Spuren vergangener Expeditionen. Richtig klassisch wird es dann mit den passenden Lenkrädern für den Defender.
Und dann gibt's da noch das Defender-Zubehör, von dem man sich fragt, warum Land Rover das nicht einfach schon von Werk aus eingebaut hat. Türgriffe aus Leder, ein Handschuhfach, ein Haltegriff an der A-Säule, damit der Einstieg selbst nicht jedes Mal wie eine kleine Expedition wirkt.
Sitzschienenverlängerungen, weil britische Ingenieure offenbar keine langen Beine kannten. Eine zweifarbige Innenraumleuchte, ein Ablagefach hinter der Cubbybox und natürlich der Hecktürdämpfer, der verhindert, dass einem die Tür ins Kreuz fällt, wenn der Wagen schräg steht.
Doppelbatterie-System, Elektrik und Licht - Strom, wo er gebraucht wird
Egal, ob Standheizung, Laptop, Kühlbox oder Handy: Auf Reisen braucht man Strom. Deshalb ist eine der ersten Umbauten, die ein Defender bekommt, oft ein Doppelbatterie-System. Unser Doppelbatterie-System für den Defender mit Edelstahlhalterung bietet Platz für zwei Banner 80Ah-Batterien, beinhaltet den Kabelsatz und ein Trennrelais auf Wunsch gibt es einen Batterie-Monitor dazu. Perfekt dazu passt das Solarpanel auf der Motorhaube passend für Td5 und Td4.
Im Bereich Beleuchtung reicht das Spektrum 7-Zoll-Scheinwerfern, LED-Signalleuchten bis zu Lightbars von Osram und Vision-X, dazu gibt es sogar noch einen passenden Lampenbügel. Rückfahrscheinwerfer, Innenraumleuchten und passende oder eine Kennzeichenbeleuchtung mit Kamera sind ebenfalls Teil des Sortiments.
Dachträger für den Defender, Boxen und Ordnung im Chaos
