Thanks to its compact design and various operating elements, the Autoterm Air 2D is suitable for almost any touring vehicle - from panel vans to expedition trucks. It can also be used on the water. Thanks to the E-mark, it can be installed without registration - without TÜV approval and without loss of warranty if you install it yourself. It is available for 12V for most campers and vans. The heater is available with two different hot air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations. 1. with straight outlet (can be found here): Please note that the warm air must be directed away from the heater in as straight a line as possible. The hot air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar bends directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons. 2. with 90° angle: Here, the hot air is discharged from the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed facing upwards or to the side. When installing this version in particular, it is important to realize straight piping from the heating outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m.Important: Even if the heaters are completely identical: If you use the straight version of the warm air pipe to create an angled outlet as with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation with regard to the routing of the hot air pipe before ordering so that you know immediately whether the straight or the angled outlet is more suitable for your installation! High-altitude kit as standard - ready for any adventure Whether in Nepal or the Andes: The Air 2D is equipped with an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the combustion to the change in air pressure. This means it runs reliably even at high altitudes. Nevertheless important: At very high altitudes, the amount of oxygen decreases - and with it the maximum output of the heater. As a rule of thumb: from an altitude of approx. 2000 m, the heater loses approx. 5 % output per 500 meters of altitude. And: the higher the altitude, the more sensitive the heater is to resistance in the air flow. Therefore, especially for operation at high altitudes, use the shortest and simplest possible air ducting and above all avoid angles and kinks! You can also simply remove the pipework completely for this time. Maintenance: Don't forget to burn off Like any diesel engine, a diesel parking heater needs to reach a certain temperature from time to time to get rid of deposits. Therefore, when you leave the mountains, let it run at full load for an hour. The same applies if it is permanently operated at a low level. This is comparable to a proper highway trip to maintain a diesel car. Control and operating elements A control panel is included with the heater (simply select the appropriate one above). You have the choice between these models: Simple control panel Rotary control with power control, optional temperature mode with separate sensor. Planar 2D Auxiliary Vehicle Heater We offer the Planar 2D auxiliary vehicle heater as a well-priced, powerful alternative to our Webasto auxiliary vehicle heater kits. With their compact size and a heater output of 1.8 kW, the Planar 2D is well-suited for fitting to smaller vehicles, vans, off-roaders, camper vans, boats or in confined spaces. It is ideal for 'typical' off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G oder Jeep Wrangler JK. The extensive fitting kit that is supplied with each heater make fitting easy. The Planar 2D can be easily controlled via its analogous control unit, with 8 settings available from 0,8 - 1,8 kW heat output. Available as both, 12 volts or 24 volts, this heater is European market approved (ECE label) and can thus be fitted independet of TUV approval. The parking heater has approval for the European market (ECE test mark) and can therefore be installed without registration. It enables different operating modes and functions depending on the heater. It also fulfils a long-held customer wish to be able to connect two control units to one heater - so the heater can be started conveniently from the driver's cab, for example, while the standard control unit is installed in the living area. Electronic blower control for Land Rover Defender
Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. Our textile workshop has now come up with a dedicated storage bag with carrying straps especially for the WALUFLEX pipe. Made from robust and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon material, the pack bag stores and protects the warm air tube. Moreover, it also saves a lot of valuable pack space. Tubes of up to 3 m length can be secured in the bag with two separate straps. Zip it up, job done! By the way, we have also sewn a patch of MOLLE fleece onto the front of the bag. In cold climates your diesel fuel is prone to gelling as paraffin crystals form which turn the fuel flaky. As a result the fuel stops running through the filter and your engine loses power until it finally stops. Once the filter is blocked, it can only be freed by inducing heat. By emitting this heat and transferring it to the filter, our heating sleeve prevents the clogging of the filter element. The paraffin crystals are immediately dissolved by the induction of heat and the fuel can easily pass the filter again. Control element for Planar Autoterm air parking heater 12V 2D and 4D Comfort is when you don’t have to worry about life’s basics and feeling warm and cozy is definitely one of them, especially when camping, on a weekend trip or a 4x4 adventure. And since there is always too much on everyone’s to do list anyway, it’s a great relief when there’s at least one job you never have to worry about before you hit the sleeping bag or your bunk. That’s where the Comfort Control remote for Autoterm/Planar Diesel air heaters 2D and 4D comes in. Completely redesigned and greatly improved when compared to its predecessor, the Comfort Control activates and deactivates your heater based on timer and/or thermostat settings. Choose from three timer modes for recurring heating intervals, a power mode for constant output, ventilation-only modes e.g. for reducing air humidity inside your camper and last but not least the new thermostat mode. The latter was added due to popular request and allows for setting and maintaining comfortable temperatures by individual degrees centigrade. No more nights in the camper when it’s constantly either too cold or too hot. The new design is also much more comfortable and ergonomic. The OLED display, the multifunctional, non-slip rotary dial as well as two push buttons make selecting and setting the desired functions really easy. Navigating the menus is intuitive and straightforward and basic functions can be accessed directly with a shortcut button. Despite a bigger display and more functions, the Comfort Control is actually smaller in size than its predecessor. With dimension of only 82 x 37 x 19 mm, you can hide it easily but you don’t have to because the new design is a lot more stylish and will make a nice feature in any camper. Concern for space is one thing in camping mobiles, the usage of electricity is another. In that respect, the remote control has also improved by minimizing its own power consumption. Radio remote control for AUTOTERM parking heaters With the included module and the certified radio remote control, you can control AUTOTERM Luft 2D and 4D (= Planar 2D12, Planar 44D12) parking heaters with 4 cables and AUTOTERM Flow 14S (=14TC-Mini) diesel pre-heaters by radio remote control. Think ahead and start the parking heater before you start your journey! Do you hate freezing while driving and are annoyed that it is only warm once you have arrived at your destination? Then these remote controls are perfect for you! With the included module and the radio transmitters, you can control 12-volt AUTOTERM parking heaters, parking heaters with 4 cables and AUTOTERM Flow 14D (formerly 14TC-Mini) diesel pre-heaters by radio remote control! The scope of delivery includes 2 transmitters and, of course, the module for connection to the parking heater. Scope of delivery: 2 transmitters Module for 12 volt Planar parking heaters incl. connection diagram All modems or radio remote controls are connected to the brown and white cable of the Planar. The Simcom has a prepared plug connection. The PU5 or PU27 control units can still be used. In contrast to other suppliers, our radio remote control is specially designed for Planar heaters and the receiver is housed in a waterproof and shockproof casing. Adapter for hot air ducts
End piece for warm air hose WALUFLEX Our 60 mm Flexi pipes for parking heaters are the perfect solution for transporting warmth and cosiness from A to B, whereby B can be one of our roof tents, a cold mountain hut or whatever else needs to be heated off-grid. The warm air pipes can be cut to any length and to ensure that the pipe ends are cleanly sealed or can be easily and airtightly extended, we have a silicone adapter for easy ratcheting. The adapter is the icing on the cake for our hot air ducts. It might work without, but it's definitely better with. For one thing, it is safer for people, equipment or cars because the edges, fringes and wire ends of the cut pipe disappear under the silicone cover and therefore have no chance of scratching, pricking or tearing. It is also very practical: one end of the silicone adapter is semi-permanently attached to the cut-off pipe with one of the cable ties supplied. The other end of the adapter can then be tightened to a connection or extension as required using the ratchet clamp (ideal for our parking heaters). Without the ratchet, the silicone adapter, which only makes the pipe 5 mm thicker, is a perfect and aesthetically pleasing end sleeve. After all, the eye camps with you and who wants to look at fraying pipe ends.
