Installing work lamps, additional headlights or light bars on your vehicle is not too difficult – when you’re talking older pickups or classic Defenders, that is. Obviously, with newer cars like the New Defender one should be a lot more cautious before drilling holes or attaching brackets to the expensive exterior. Vision X Lighting specialize in custom solutions, combining top performance, sleek design and installation methods that minimize effort and actual alterations to your car.
The XPL Curved Lightbar by Vision X is an elegant and powerful LED solution for the lower opening in the standard grille of the New Defender. The array of individual 5 W CREE LEDs delivers a light beam of over 600 m – providing safety in all weather conditions, off-road or on-road, for work or sports. The XPL Curved lightbar also features backlighting that can be used as daytime running lights.
The installation is fairly simple and requires roughly 4 hrs. Both the grille’s plastic substructure and the lower opening need to be modified by sawing out specific areas. Detailed instructions, fastening materials and electric connections are included in the delivery.
Mounting behind the radiator grille is also possible.

Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD5 The clutch has to transmit enormous forces, especially when shifting gears under higher loads, e.g. in trailer operation or in vehicles with increased performance. A sometimes occurring problem in connection with the original clutch of the Defender is the penetration of oil from the engine or the gearbox into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and repeatedly comes into contact with the friction lining surface during driving due to the frictional heat generated. As a result of the reduced frictional engagement, the friction linings generate more heat and glaze. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive!The organic lining used in this clutch cannot absorb oil and therefore cannot vitrify. It convinces with specially adjusted friction modifiers with a soft response behaviour and enables a 100% frictional connection. The new Defender is being marketed as a true workhorse, but – as always – there’s room for improvement when it comes to the practicalities of working with your L663 on a day-to-day basis. One such aspect is definitely the lighting for the load space in the back. The standard set-up is somewhat sparse but most of all it lacks proper roof lights. This is especially problematic since the cargo area is often filled up or modified by installed racks, boxes and the like.
Our LED light bar solves this problem with more than sufficient 396 Lumens light intensity. The lightbar is easily installed on the trim above the cargo door and illuminates the entire load space – helping you to quickly find tools and equipment and ensuring safe working conditions day or night.
Mounting the roughly 36 cm long and 2 cm wide LED lightbar is really easy. Simply click the two fastening clips into the edge of the upper door trim. The clips’ custom-shape will hold the lightbar firmly in position. Connecting the device to the Defender’s wiring is just as quick by simply pushing the LED bar’s wire behind the trim and pulling it along the D-pillar towards the standard lamp housing by the fuse box. In most cases, you won’t even have to remove the trim panels. Lastly, the LED bar’s connector is simply plugged into the standard lamp’s socket. The bar is activated and deactivated as required by its own touch button.

„Wolf“ Military Defenders see action in all climate zones and all kinds of environmental conditions. From the wet and cold in the north to the mud of the tropics and the sand and dust of the deserts. One specific modification for these extreme challenges can be spotted with the naked eye: the air intakes. When not equipped with snorkels, XD Landy-wolves feature raised air intakes, often on both sides, to keep water, mud and dust out of the intake system.
If you want to give your civilian Landy (with intake on the right) this military Wolf look, you can replace the standard grill with our Wolf XD Style Air Intake. This is not only a great visual upgrade to your Defender, but also protects your intake system from splash water, mud and dust. Due to its design, the Wolf Style intakes will already pre-filter a lot of unwanted stuff getting near your intake, especially when compared to the standard grills. So, if you’re aiming at an upgrade in design and performance, but don’t want to spend the 600 € or more for the hard-to-get original parts (ESR4570), the Wolf XD Style Air Intakes are the ones for you. For off-roaders with truly amphibious ambitions, who rather have water in the footwells than the intakes, we recommend our SN4 or SNX snorkels, of course.
Installing the Wolf Style Air Intake is really easy. The frame can be attached to the pre-existing screw holes. The intake itself and the gasket are then in turn attached to the frame. All fastening materials are included. Delivery: Frame, intake case, gasket, fastening material.
