Nakatanenga winch bundle Tigershark 9.5 or 11.5 for Land Rover Defender In the Nakatanenga winch bundle for the Land Rover Defender, you get everything you need for safe and reliable self or third-party recovery:The basis is the proven Nakatanenga NAWIBU2 winch bumper, which is equally suitable for Defender with or without air conditioning. The bumper, which is manufactured locally for us, is powder-coated black and reliably protects the front of the vehicle even during tough off-road use. The raised corners of the bumper improve the vehicle's slope angle. The two integrated, swivelling recovery eyes are ideal for self-recovery and recovery by others - or for hooking in the pulley, which is also supplied and doubles the pulling force of the winch or makes difficult recoveries possible in the first place. The design of the winch bumper allows for easy registration by means of a fee-based individual approval.There is the optional possibility of mounting two 70 mm spotlights recessed - so they are optimally protected against damage in the terrain. We use modern LED driving lights from Nolden, which provide excellent light with low power consumption (only 1.1 A per headlight). They have an E-mark and can therefore be used without registration. In order to harmonise with any existing Nolden Bi-LED main headlights, the auxiliary driving lamps are available in black or chrome-coloured optics. The 12 V Superwinch electric winch Tiger Shark 11500 / 9500  has a two-stage planetary gearbox. The winch is equipped with an automatic load holding brake with mechanical cone brake for large loads and a freewheel clutch for pulling the rope by hand. The Superwinch Tiger Shark 11.5 / 9.5 electric winch has waterproof sealed relays for high electrical currents, allowing longer duty cycles.It is used for commercial recovery of rolling loads. This is not only much lighter (and thus benefits the handling and efficiency of the vehicle), but also much safer to use. In the event of tearing, it does not become a dangerous projectile - rather, it simply falls to the ground. In fact, it is so light that it floats! It also drastically reduces the risk of injury from protruding strand ends. The flat Nakatanenga rope window again saves weight compared to conventional roller rope windows, is gentler on the rope and protrudes less.Depending on the vehicle version and winch type, it may be necessary to adapt the radiator grille.The winch bundle is rounded off by a useful accessory bag containing a high-strength tree anchor strap, two shackles, the above-mentioned pulley and a pair of Nakatanenga work gloves. Highest load capacity This kit consists of two half shafts, two CV joints and two heavy-duty drive flanges. The Raptor Heavy Duty front shafts are made from SAE4340 Nickel Chromoly alloy steel, that provide the optimum level of strength and flex when heat-treated. They have the ability to twist without breaking as well as extremely high fatigue resistance, which enables the shafts to tolerate repeated shock loading. This ability to flex without breaking also helps protecting other drivetrain components. All shafts are 24 spline and primarily suited to post 1994 axles, although they can be fitted to earlier vehicles with additional work. Please note that MY2002 vehicles have been delivered with both types of rear axle - please check which axle has been fitted to your vehicle. Please choose your axle type. If your Landy is not just a Chelsea tractor and regularly has to tow more than one kind of trailer, the odds are you will need an adjustable tow hitch. The first advantage over a static solution, of course, is the fact that you can adjust the height very easily just by moving slider and pin. Secondly, and more conveniently, you can also permanently mount several different tow systems to a number of slider plates. That means switching coupling types like tow ball, jaw or NATO is literally a matter of seconds. Pull the pin out, switch the slider plate, push the pin back in. Done. No screws, no nuts or bolts to fasten. The adjustable tow hitch is available for TD5/TD4 90, 110 and 110/130 high capacity pickup and comes as a complete assembly kit with the necessary chassis struts, the bracket for the rear cross member, mounts for electrics, slider frame, slider plate with tow ball, a choice of 7- or 13-pin electric coupling and all necessary fastening materials. Most importantly: the assembly kit is certified by an attached E-number (E11 for UK as country of origin) and that means the parts are road legal and you are not obliged to get additional certification or separate technical approval as may be required otherwise in your respective country. The number with the capital “E” stands for a general type approval within the ECE treaty. This includes the EU, the EEC, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries worldwide. To be on the safe side in traffic stops, however, it is advisable to have the E-number on the part well visible and the part documents should preferably be with your registration papers in the vehicle.

No more rust: replacement bulkhead for Td5 and 300 Tdi The bulkhead is pretty much the most complex body part in a Landy – and one of the most vulnerable components, too. For one, it’s sporting many edges, corners, folds, curves and rivet connections and requires a considerable number of screw holes: to the frame, to the connections in the engine bay and to the windshield. Add to that a whole bunch of openings for steering, pedals, air and electrics and you see the problem. All this structural complexity combined with its positioning exposes the bulkhead to water splashing up from below or trickling down from above. Dirt and chemicals collect in the nooks and crannies and trap moisture almost permanently. On the inside of the cabin condensation or leaks can produce the same effect behind the dashboard, panels or floor mats, thereby creating constant moisture exposure from both sides. No wonder, that the bulkhead is one of those components that suffer most from visible or hidden corrosion. Over time, it can even affect the frame. For TD4 built in 2007-2016 Information about the clutch automat with friction disc, release bearing and clutch slave cylinderEspecially with switching operations under higher load, such in trailer operation or in performance-enhanced vehicles, enormous forces must be transmitted by the clutch. A common problem with the Defender's original clutch is the failure of the insufficiently sized torsion springs. The torsion springs, specially adapted to the Defender Td4, eliminate the familiar problems of clattering or jamming clutches. Another, but less common, problem is the ingress of oil from the engine or transmission into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and occurs during driving by the resulting frictional heat repeatedly to the friction lining. Due to the reduced traction it comes in the episode to a higher heat development and vitrification of the coverings. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive! The organic coating used in this coupling can not absorb oil and therefore does not vitrify. It convinces with specially adapted friction modifiers with a soft response and enables a 100% adhesion. Of course, the pads are asbestos- and lead-free, free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds. Information on the reinforced intermediate shaft for MT82 transmissions.Improved intermediate shaft for MT82 transmission in Land Rover Defender TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 Known problem: The intermediate shaft of the TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 models is not greased and is not supplied with oil. The connection of the two-piece intermediate shaft wears after prolonged use, since the shaft with outer ring gear has direct contact with the shaft with inner ring gear. In the worst case, this wear ensures that the sprocket shears off and the vehicle thus stops. A regular lubrication of the sprocket helps, but is in the long run very cumbersome Our solution: The improved intermediate shaft is supplied with the oil of the gearbox and thus prevents the wear of the shafts. Easy and uncomplicated! We recommend replacing the pilot bearing when replacing the coupling. Please note:  Before installing the clutch, the dimension of the following step must be measured on the flywheelIf the dimension is 25.4 mm, the clutch can be installed.If the measurement is 22.2 mm, a Ford flywheel is installed. The clutch is not compatible with this and will malfunction sooner or later.If a Ford flywheel with a measurement of 22.2 mm is installed, you will also need the following Land Rover flywheel.

Nakatanenga Lamp Bracket for Land Rover Defender The Nakatanenga lamp bracket is the answer to customer requests for a flat mounting solution for lamps on the Land Rover Defender, which does not increase the overall height of the vehicle (when the lamps are mounted suspended) - so that, for example, the use of an underground garage / driveway is still possible without having to do without adequate lighting.The one-piece bracket is made entirely of stainless steel, glass bead blasted and black powder coated. It offers four mounting eyes for individual spotlights or the feet of one or two LED bars. It also has an additional mounting eyelet in the centre (facing backwards) that can be used for a GPS or radio antenna. The support tube has openings so that the connecting cables of the headlamps (not supplied) can be neatly routed inside it. Eyelets for attaching cable ties round off the well thought-out details.The bracket is equipped with four round Vision-X Utility Market Extreme LED worklights. A total luminous flux of 1,3804 lumens is generated from 7 LEDs per lamp (raw), the power consumption is only 2.9 A (at 12 V), the lights are multi-voltage capable (9-32 V). The two lights for mounting on the outer fastening points of the carrier ensure good visibility to the right and left of the vehicle with 60° illumination, while the two inner lights with 10° illumination provide a beam of light directed far to the front - in this way, as large an area as possible is illuminated in a practical manner and obstacles on the roadway as well as to the right and left of it can be recognized (e.g. approaching game). This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and repeatedly comes into contact with the friction lining surface during driving due to the frictional heat generated. As a result of the reduced frictional engagement, the friction linings generate more heat and glaze. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive!The organic lining used in this clutch cannot absorb oil and therefore cannot vitrify. Dafür braucht er Zuwendung, Werkzeug und Geduld. Er ruckelt, macht Geräusche und nimmt es mit Perfektion nicht so genau. Aber wer ihn kennt, weiß: genau das ist sein Charme. Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als an diesem Stück britischer Ingenieurskunst selbst zu schrauben oder, wenn's mit dem Schrauben hapert, wenigstens mit Fachwissen zu glänzen.

Von Stoßstange bis Schnorchel - das richtige Defender Zubehör für unterwegs

Wer einen Defender in ein Reisefahrzeug umbauen möchte, der braucht mehr als gute Laune und einen vollen Tank. Eine Seilwindenstoßstange, nicht, weil man sich selbst festgefahren hätte, nein, natürlich nur, um die anderen rauszuziehen. Wir empfehlen unsere Nakatanenga Seilwinden-Stoßstange für den Defender wahlweise im Bundle mit Seilwinden von Horntools oder Superwinch, optional mit oder ohne Fernscheinwerfer.

Aber es gibt auch Momente, da hilft kein Gebet, nur eine gute Bergung. Mit Bergeösen, Hecktraversen-Verstärkungen und Bergeboards bleibt man auch dann souverän, wenn der Boden meint, ein Abenteuer draus machen zu müssen. Alles robust, erprobt und bereit für den Ernstfall.

Wer längere Strecken abseits der Zivilisation plant, rüstet am besten gleich mit einem Zusatztank in 56 Liter oder 66 Liter auf, während der Defender-Unterfahrschutz dafür sorgt, dass spitze Steine, Wurzeln oder neugierige Felsen keine bleibenden Erinnerungen hinterlassen. Der Schnorchel für den Defender bzw. die erhöhte Luftansaugung ist natürlich Pflicht für alle, die in die Wüste wollen oder durchs Wasser müssen, wobei auch Hamburger Pfützen manchmal verdächtig tief aussehen können. Defender-Fahrwerk, Felgen und Reifen

Kein Abenteuer ohne ordentliches Fahrwerk. Ein Defender-Fahrwerk ist keine reine Geschmacksfrage, sondern hängt davon ab, wofür der Wagen eingesetzt wird. Egal ob 90er, 110er oder 130er: Es gibt Fahrwerke für jeden Zweck, vom Familien-Daily-Driver bis zum voll beladenen Fernreisemobil. Für den richtigen Offroad-Look gesellen sich dazu beispielsweise Stahlfelgen wie unsere klassische ANR-Felge, die Wolf-Felge oder ebenso robuste Dotz Dakar.

Innenleben mit Charakter - Sportsitze für den Defender

Wer Kilometer frisst, sollte bequem sitzen. Mit neuen Sitz-Polsterungen lässt sich der alte Charme der Defender-Sitze bewahren, Sportsitze für den Defender bringen modernen Halt ins Abenteuer, und passende Sitzbezüge schonen das Material oder verstecken die Spuren vergangener Expeditionen. Richtig klassisch wird es dann mit den passenden Lenkrädern für den Defender.

Sitzschienenverlängerungen, weil britische Ingenieure offenbar keine langen Beine kannten. Eine zweifarbige Innenraumleuchte, ein Ablagefach hinter der Cubbybox und natürlich der Hecktürdämpfer, der verhindert, dass einem die Tür ins Kreuz fällt, wenn der Wagen schräg steht.

Doppelbatterie-System, Elektrik und Licht - Strom, wo er gebraucht wird

Egal, ob Standheizung, Laptop, Kühlbox oder Handy: Auf Reisen braucht man Strom. Deshalb ist eine der ersten Umbauten, die ein Defender bekommt, oft ein Doppelbatterie-System. Unser Doppelbatterie-System für den Defender mit Edelstahlhalterung bietet Platz für zwei Banner 80Ah-Batterien, beinhaltet den Kabelsatz und ein Trennrelais auf Wunsch gibt es einen Batterie-Monitor dazu. Perfekt dazu passt das Solarpanel auf der Motorhaube passend für Td5 und Td4.

Standheizung für den Defender
