Please note: the protective covers for Defender form MY 2007 er slightly shorter than for previous models, they do not reach up to the antenna mounting as production tolerances are too great. It is therefore not necessary to cut an antenna hole. In the CLASSIC version the air intake cover is mounted inside the chequer plate, in the non-classic version this is mounted on top of the plate.

Repair plate C-pillar left or left side for Defender 110/130
All the nooks and crannies in your Defender attract and hold water or wet dirt, which makes them a hotbed for corrosion – small wonder that the door areas are often affected by rust. Especially the C pillars in 4/5-door models frequently require replacement in Defender restorations because fittings, screw holes, undersides and the gaps between struts and body panels are a breeding ground for corrosion and often develop critical damage. Instead of piecemeal repair with angle grinder and welder, it’s often preferable to swap the entire component. We are offering individual C posts for the right or left side of all models where door seals are only pushed in and not riveted. If you have riveted seals, they need to be adapted. Replacement gearbox - transfer case, overhauled LT230 for TD4/TD5 Stage1/Stage2 Winchester Gears Stage LT230 are improved versions of the standard Defender and Discovery transfer cases. Common sources of failure have been carefully analysed and effective solutions implemented. Sleeved main housing The bore of the intermediate shaft, which is prone to wear and oil leaks, is machined and fitted with a steel sleeve. In addition, the frequently damaged bearing bore of the main shaft was taken care of by fitting a cylindrical sleeve. Intermediate shaft The intermediate shafts that hold the gear in place often wear out, leading to gear noise and, in later 1.21 gear sets, total gear failure. the high performance shafts fitted are made from 17.4ph material to ensure a long service life. High capacity oil pan Available as an optional extra, this oil pan increases oil capacity by 0.6 litres and helps keep the transfer case cool and well lubricated. Centre differential Stage 1 : Features a heavy-duty one-piece cross shaft that replaces the weaker two-piece design, a common weak point. Stage 2 : Incorporates an Ashcroft ATB Limited Slip Diff, a spiral design that optimises torque and drive distribution between the front and rear axles. This provides improved traction and eliminates the weakness of the standard unlocked centre differential, ideal for racing on low traction surfaces. After initial teething troubles in conjunction with the LT230T transfer case and corresponding improvements, the reliable R380 was only replaced when European environmental regulations made it necessary to switch to the Td4 engine with its six-speed gearbox. Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD4 or TDi
Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD4 Especially with switching operations under higher load, such. in trailer operation or in performance-enhanced vehicles, enormous forces must be transmitted by the clutch. A common problem with the Defender's original clutch is the failure of the insufficiently sized torsion springs. The torsion springs, which are specially adapted to the Defender Td4, eliminate the familiar problems with clattering or jamming couplings. Another, but less common problem is the ingress of oil from the engine or transmission into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and occurs during driving by the resulting frictional heat repeatedly to the friction lining. Due to the reduced traction it comes in the episode to a higher heat development and vitrification of the coverings. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive!The organic coating used in this coupling can not absorb oil and therefore does not vitrify. It convinces with specially adapted friction modifiers with a soft response and enables a 100% adhesion. Nakatanenga Spare Wheel Carrier Defender Pickup / Softtop, until MY2016 To preserve the original Defender look and to make room on the inside we adjusted our classic spare wheel carrier for the pic-up version of the defender (Attention: there is a separate version available for the classic hardtop). The carrier is independent from the rear gate, we eliminated any noise and made it from stainless steel. The carrier is thoroughly tested, e.g. on the "Grand Erg" Rally. It was designed to ease the installation while guaranteeing usability and resilience. In 2014 we further improved the design and started manufacturing entirely from stainless steel. The bearing does not require service, the entire carrier is corrosion resistant and can be removed just as easily as installed if needed. This wheel mount is compatible with the additional step and with the hitch from Land Rover, as well as our rear bumpers The carrier can easily be mounted yourself alternatively we also offer an installation service. Simply add the service flat rate to your cart and we'll contact you to confirm your appointment. The carrier does not swing open by itself, secondary unlocking to the gate is necessary. The carrier is also available in black or can be painted matching to your vehicle. Attention: This mount would also work on a Stationwagon. Der Defender hat eine Seele, sagen viele. Vielleicht stimmt das, denn manchmal hat man wirklich diesen Eindruck. Er bringt einen überall hin, auch dorthin, wo andere längst aufgeben. Dafür braucht er Zuwendung, Werkzeug und Geduld. Er ruckelt, macht Geräusche und nimmt es mit Perfektion nicht so genau. Aber wer ihn kennt, weiß: genau das ist sein Charme. Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als an diesem Stück britischer Ingenieurskunst selbst zu schrauben oder, wenn's mit dem Schrauben hapert, wenigstens mit Fachwissen zu glänzen.

Von Stoßstange bis Schnorchel - das richtige Defender Zubehör für unterwegs
Wer einen Defender in ein Reisefahrzeug umbauen möchte, der braucht mehr als gute Laune und einen vollen Tank. Eine Seilwindenstoßstange, nicht, weil man sich selbst festgefahren hätte, nein, natürlich nur, um die anderen rauszuziehen. Wir empfehlen unsere Nakatanenga Seilwinden-Stoßstange für den Defender wahlweise im Bundle mit Seilwinden von Horntools oder Superwinch, optional mit oder ohne Fernscheinwerfer.
Aber es gibt auch Momente, da hilft kein Gebet, nur eine gute Bergung. Mit Bergeösen, Hecktraversen-Verstärkungen und Bergeboards bleibt man auch dann souverän, wenn der Boden meint, ein Abenteuer draus machen zu müssen. Alles robust, erprobt und bereit für den Ernstfall.
Wer längere Strecken abseits der Zivilisation plant, rüstet am besten gleich mit einem Zusatztank in 56 Liter oder 66 Liter auf, während der Defender-Unterfahrschutz dafür sorgt, dass spitze Steine, Wurzeln oder neugierige Felsen keine bleibenden Erinnerungen hinterlassen. Der Schnorchel für den Defender bzw. die erhöhte Luftansaugung ist natürlich Pflicht für alle, die in die Wüste wollen oder durchs Wasser müssen, wobei auch Hamburger Pfützen manchmal verdächtig tief aussehen können. Gibt es für Td4, Td5 und Tdi in verschiedenen Ausführungen für Defender mit oder ohne Überrollkäfig.
Defender-Fahrwerk, Felgen und Reifen
Kein Abenteuer ohne ordentliches Fahrwerk. Ein Defender-Fahrwerk ist keine reine Geschmacksfrage, sondern hängt davon ab, wofür der Wagen eingesetzt wird. Egal ob 90er, 110er oder 130er: Es gibt Fahrwerke für jeden Zweck, vom Familien-Daily-Driver bis zum voll beladenen Fernreisemobil. Für den richtigen Offroad-Look gesellen sich dazu beispielsweise Stahlfelgen wie unsere klassische ANR-Felge, die Wolf-Felge oder ebenso robuste Dotz Dakar.

Innenleben mit Charakter - Sportsitze für den Defender
Wer Kilometer frisst, sollte bequem sitzen. Mit neuen Sitz-Polsterungen lässt sich der alte Charme der Defender-Sitze bewahren, Sportsitze für den Defender bringen modernen Halt ins Abenteuer, und passende Sitzbezüge schonen das Material oder verstecken die Spuren vergangener Expeditionen. Richtig klassisch wird es dann mit den passenden Lenkrädern für den Defender.
Und dann gibt's da noch das Defender-Zubehör, von dem man sich fragt, warum Land Rover das nicht einfach schon von Werk aus eingebaut hat. Türgriffe aus Leder, ein Handschuhfach, ein Haltegriff an der A-Säule, damit der Einstieg selbst nicht jedes Mal wie eine kleine Expedition wirkt.
Sitzschienenverlängerungen, weil britische Ingenieure offenbar keine langen Beine kannten. Eine zweifarbige Innenraumleuchte, ein Ablagefach hinter der Cubbybox und natürlich der Hecktürdämpfer, der verhindert, dass einem die Tür ins Kreuz fällt, wenn der Wagen schräg steht.
Doppelbatterie-System, Elektrik und Licht - Strom, wo er gebraucht wird
Egal, ob Standheizung, Laptop, Kühlbox oder Handy: Auf Reisen braucht man Strom. Deshalb ist eine der ersten Umbauten, die ein Defender bekommt, oft ein Doppelbatterie-System. Unser Doppelbatterie-System für den Defender mit Edelstahlhalterung bietet Platz für zwei Banner 80Ah-Batterien, beinhaltet den Kabelsatz und ein Trennrelais auf Wunsch gibt es einen Batterie-Monitor dazu. Perfekt dazu passt das Solarpanel auf der Motorhaube passend für Td5 und Td4.
Im Bereich Beleuchtung reicht das Spektrum 7-Zoll-Scheinwerfern, LED-Signalleuchten bis zu Lightbars von Osram und Vision-X, dazu gibt es sogar noch einen passenden Lampenbügel. Rückfahrscheinwerfer, Innenraumleuchten und passende oder eine Kennzeichenbeleuchtung mit Kamera sind ebenfalls Teil des Sortiments.
