Damit aber die Nacht in unseren RoofLodge Dachzelten noch bequemer und gemütlicher wird, empfehlen wir unbedingt dieses Zubehör: Unsere neue, einfache Schuhtasche zum Einkedern in die Randleiste des Zeltes. Schuhe, Sandalen und Ähnliches sind gerade beim Campen immer mal schmutzig oder nass und jeder (Dach-) Zeltler weiß, wie ungemütlich auch kleine Mengen Sand, Dreck oder Nässe den Aufenthalt im Zelt machen können. Der Schuhbeutel für unsere Dachzelte ist aus wasserabweisendem und leicht zu reinigenden 100% Nylon mit PU-Beschichtung, einem bewährten Synthetikmaterial für Outdoor- und Arbeitstextilien. Die Tasche wird einfach in die Kederschiene unter der Zeltwand eingeführt, geht dadurch nicht verloren und kann auch leicht nach Bedarf verschoben werden. Unten ist im beidseitig offenen Beutel ein Netzgewebe eingenäht. Während die Schuhe sicher aufgehoben sind, können Schmutz und Nässe leicht entweichen. Nässestau wird somit vermieden und die Schuhe können schneller austrocknen. Übrigens: Schlechtwetter-Camper können statt der einfachen Variante alternativ auch diese Tasche mit Deckel bestellen. Extension strip for Evolution front and bottom tents The front and bottom tents of the EVOLUTION series are designed for a tent mounting height of up to 210 cm. If the roof tent is mounted at a higher height, then an extension strip should be used for these front or bottom tents, which compensates for the missing difference. The extension strip is simply zipped between the bottom pan and the underside of the tent sidewalls and compensates for a net difference of 20 cm. Of course, the zipper thus added is protected by a tarpaulin from direct rain. Tent light remote control With this remote control, you can switch our 30 cm long tubular tent light or our 90 cm long tubular tent light on and off manually by remote control. The radio connection reaches a little more than 3 metres even through the tent material. You can attach the remote control to a key ring via the small attached carabiner.

The protective hoods of roof tents usually have to take a lot during the season. The exposed position of the tents makes this almost inevitable. If the hood is damaged, foxing threatens the tent very quickly. For some, then Gaffa tape is the tried and tested medium of choice. Often enough for the rest of the journey. The consequences of a minimal leaking hood are not immediately visible or smelling! To prevent a nasty surprise in the spring, there is now our repair kit for PVC protective hoods. Material and tools are especially designed for larger repairs. A suitable repair kit for tents and Awnings can be found here. Delivery: 2x brushes 1x 50 ml glue 1x PVC material 48x48cm Manual: Cut the patches and round off the corners. Clean the areas to be bonded (warm soapy water or degreasing detergent) After drying for 10-15 minutes, the glue can be applied to both sides with a brush. (Attention: do not apply too much and above all apply evenly) Let the adhesive surfaces dry again for 10-15 minutes so that the solvents can escape. Touch the glue - if it is dry, you can continue. Place the patches precisely and press firmly. Experts use a roller here. Similar tools like a bottle or rolling pin works too. Important here is the exact positioning, since a later adjustment of the patches is no longer possible. Also, the force that is applied to push the tarpaulin later decides the strength of the adhesive surface. Dry overnight and let air dry for long-term maintenance.

Access to the roof of a car is usually something for climbing professionals - especially from the side. This applies to expedition-ready 4x4s with CargoBear-style system carriers that can be climbed by ladder, and especially to SUVs with ski racks or family vans with roof boxes. Often the vehicles are simply too high or the drivers too small or unathletic to get safe and easy side access to the roof load. They try to find a foothold on the seats by groping with their feet while holding on tightly with one hand to avoid tipping over backwards. Or you climb onto boxes or makeshift ladders and let the passenger support you, but who always has ladders or a passenger with them? What fits into the car in any case is our convenient and safe climbing aid for hanging into the body-side locking brackets of the door locks. The ladder replacement is hooked into the catch eye of the latch with a simple, fold-out hook. The pressure of the rubberised rear edge of the step surface on the B- or C-pillar results in an absolutely safe climbing aid under load that does not wobble or slip. This way, you can reach every side of the car roof safely and quickly without much effort. The locking brackets of the car doors have to withstand forces that are many times the weight of the human body so that the door does not open in the event of an accident or attempted break-in. The ladder itself is made of an extremely solid aluminium alloy and is designed to withstand 200 kg. This means that even large and heavy contemporaries need not worry. However, the first use should be carried out with caution and care in order to get the necessary safety when climbing. The step is covered with non-slip, grooved PVC and to ensure that the paintwork is not damaged, there is an additional rubber protector that can be attached to the edge of the step. By the way, if there is no more room for the foldable door step in the glove compartment or the centre shelf, you can leave the emergency hammer at home, because it has a steel tip at the front and thus also functions as a rescue tool for breaking windows. Since the extended stirrup now has a curved shape, it is best to store it with the new joints without protruding. With the joints, the lower part of the extended bracket can simply be folded in and stowed away without any problems. Instructions for attaching the joints can be found in our downloads.

There’s one golden rule when it comes to insulation: layer up. Everbody knows this from sport and outdoor clothes but it also applies to tents. And since a bear wears a thicker coat in winter, we adapted the idea for our roof tents with the bear logo, Evo II and Lightweight, and created an inner thermo-layer that is practical and easy to set up. There’s no excuse any more not to go winter-camping in one of our Roof Lodges. Our thermal tent liner for Roof Lodges Evo II and Lightweight takes its cue from old nomad wisdom: the tent inside the tent immediately creates more warmth and a much better climate. Just like inside a mongol yurt, we are simply applying a perfectly fitting, insulating and breathing second layer to the roof and the walls. It reduces thermal radiation loss and gives you a much more even temperature distribution throughout the day. Fitting it is really easy, too. The quilted material with its three layers – polyester on the outside and thermal fleece in between – is simply clipped onto the tentpoles and tied down to the mattress by sewn-in straps. Apart from preserving warmth, the quickly fitted inner liner tent also reduces condensation build-up. And since ventilation is of utmost importance in that context, the liner also features air vents that perfectly match the windows in the outer tent walls. Same as with the entrance flap, the ventilation windows are opened and closed by robust, durable YKK zippers. Last but not least, the thermal material also reduces outside noise by a hefty 35 dB. Use our thermo-liner tent for a significantly warmer, dryer and quieter camping experience in your Roof Lodge. It’ll make even winter camping much cozier.
