Spare wheel tray - color: black
Universal storage space set for the spare wheel The high school of storage space optimization really only begins when all the obvious places like the interior or trunk or the roof have long since ceased to offer anything. With our practical and universally applicable spare wheel tray, even the fifth wheel on the car becomes an equipment carrier. The practical storage solution for the spare wheel at the rear consists of two components that can be ordered individually (here in the store) or as a set. The base carrier with the tensioning strap is adjustable and thus fits all common off-road tire sizes. If one mounts only the basic carrier (sideways), so e.g. starting aids, wheel chocks and other accessories can be screwed to the carrier or attached with straps. If you want to mount the tray, i.e. the basket, the base carrier must be on top of the wheel. The loading area of the storage basket is a generous 80cm x 38cm, so that even larger equipment can find its place here. If this area is not enough, you can also turn the platform around and attach with the edge down. Raised edges and circumferential lashing holes ensure problem-free load security. Base carrier and storage basket are black powder-coated, so that the look of the spare wheel tray harmonizes perfectly with any off-roader. Base carrier: approx. To protect the steering wheel, you can either wear gloves or maintain it regularly (approx. every 3 months). Good cleaning and care products are available from specialist retailers.

That’s where this nifty and inconspicuous modification comes in for Defender models Td5 and Td4 (90/110/130) – whether camping conversion, expedition vehicle or your regular standard spec Landy. Our hidden underfloor locker for the front footwell is integrated in the floor panel and thereby creates a lot more security for your valuables. Secured by a lock, dust- and watertight and in most cases hidden by floor mats, the underfloor boxes are the ideal storage space for all those extremely important small things: documents, passports, wallets, expensive electronics, gadgets, tools, medication etc. Sporting a volume of ca. 7 liters, this roughly square storage box will hold an astounding amount of your most valuable items. Since the boxes are mounted underneath the footwell floor, we make them from extremely robust, powder-coated stainless steel. Installing the assembly kits for Td5/Td4 in the right or left front seat footwells is really simple. Other areas in the vehicle body are also suitable for mounting the locker, the cargo hold for example. In these cases, you can order the box also without the panel. If you own non-standard Defenders or older models, where the Td5/Td4 panels won’t fit, you should also choose the “locker only” option. The same applies if you simply want to make the cuts yourself in the existing floor panels. Important during installation: the flattened edge of the box must always face the centre of the vehicle during installation! Whether CargoBear, FrontRunner or other roof rack systems, fastening our practical, two-part mounting rails is a question of minutes. Each rail’s bottom is attached to the carrier and the top to the underside of the roof tent, thereby providing and easy to reach connection that is equally quick to fasten or loosen again. That way, you only drive your tent around when you're actually going camping. As a general rule, two rails will be sufficient for mounting most tents. However, for larger/longer hard-shell tents, for example, we recommend using three rails.
