If your Landy is not just a Chelsea tractor and regularly has to tow more than one kind of trailer, the odds are you will need an adjustable tow hitch. The first advantage over a static solution, of course, is the fact that you can adjust the height very easily just by moving slider and pin. Secondly, and more conveniently, you can also permanently mount several different tow systems to a number of slider plates. That means switching coupling types like tow ball, jaw or NATO is literally a matter of seconds. Pull the pin out, switch the slider plate, push the pin back in. Done. No screws, no nuts or bolts to fasten. The adjustable tow hitch is available for TD5/TD4 90, 110 and 110/130 high capacity pickup and comes as a complete assembly kit with the necessary chassis struts, the bracket for the rear cross member, mounts for electrics, slider frame, slider plate with tow ball, a choice of 7- or 13-pin electric coupling and all necessary fastening materials. Most importantly: the assembly kit is certified by an attached E-number (E11 for UK as country of origin) and that means the parts are road legal and you are not obliged to get additional certification or separate technical approval as may be required otherwise in your respective country. The number with the capital “E” stands for a general type approval within the ECE treaty. This includes the EU, the EEC, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries worldwide. To be on the safe side in traffic stops, however, it is advisable to have the E-number on the part well visible and the part documents should preferably be with your registration papers in the vehicle.

Aluminum cases Pro There are many aluminum cases, but just one “Alubox”. The Wiberg family’s business on Zealand in Denmark has been supplying the Danish military, various rescue services, international expeditions and the off-road community since 1999 with tough, handmade transport cases made from aluminum alloy AW-5754. As you would expect from real Vikings, Danish Aluboxes are seawater resistant. In addition, they can be padlocked, are dust-proof and highly resistant to corrosion and chemicals. The Wibergs’ experience and their commitment to continuously improve the Aluboxes show in the details: extra-robust and impact-proof stacking corners provide tight connections when you put several boxes on top of each other. Spring handles retract, so they’re never sticking out as dangerous obstacles‚ causing damages or injuries. Aluboxes are now made with solid rivets for even greater robustness and durability, even in extreme conditions. The new transport box for the 30-second touring tents by OZtents was developed by Soren Wiberg, who is a big fan of Land Rovers and camping. That’s why he saw right away that the somewhat flimsy OZtent carry bag needs to be improved upon. With packing dimensions of roughly 2 m, OZtents are usually too long to be stowed inside smaller 4x4s. The new Alubox measures 2130 x 510 x 220 mm, making it the ideal storage space for OZtent models RV1, RV2, RV3, RV4 und RV5. The transport case is designed for roof racks, like our very own CargoBear. And if you can fit a tent in your Alubox, you can also fit many other long and unwieldy pieces of equipment: shovels, sand ladders, snow chains and everything else that’s needed on expeditions and camping trips. One more thing: The Wiberg Vikings’ Alubox slogan is “Battered, beaten and still going strong.“ And that’s how we see it, too, when it comes to aluminum cases. Dents, scratches and bruises are at the end of the day part of the deal. They speak of your adventures and that’s why we keep unnecessary and environmentally harmful packaging to a minimum when we are shipping them. Many well-designed details show that this was no empty promise by Ineos. The standard airline rails above the rear mudguards, for example, are a feature that every proper 4x4 should have, because real off-roaders or overlanders want to transport important equipment on the outside of the vehicle without having to drill holes or making other destructive modifications. Our modular MOLLE vehicle panels for the Grenadier are very easy to attach to the airline rails mentioned above and the rain gutters via stainless steel brackets. Retrofit kit electric windows for Land Rover Defender Electric windows were first introduced in the Defender when the Td5 was overhauled in 2002. All doors and door trims were adapted at that point, so that from MY2002 onwards, even models with manual crank handles in the rear seat doors can be retrofitted with electric openers. The complete electric window opener kit makes swapping or retrofitting dead easy. The assembly kit contains the lifting mechanism, electric wiring, fastening materials, covers and the switches for both rear seat doors.

Roughly one can say: From 2,000 meters the loss of power per 500m altitude is about 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3.440 m were without problems. Up to 4,000 m, no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not be tested in real altitude yet. Please note: Use this 4 kW heater only if this size is really erforgerlich! It is expressly not recommended to permanently turn down the heating. In case of less demand the AUTOTERM Luft 2D (former Planar 2D parking heater) is recommended. If the larger heater is used on a long-term basis on a lower load, the combustion chambers will quickly become sooty - which will cause the heater to fail.
