The heater is available with two different hot air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations. 1. with straight outlet (can be found here): Please note that the warm air must be directed away from the heater in as straight a line as possible. The hot air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar bends directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons. 2. with 90° angle: Here, the hot air is discharged from the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed facing upwards or to the side. When installing this version in particular, it is important to realize straight piping from the heating outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m.Important: Even if the heaters are completely identical: If you use the straight version of the warm air pipe to create an angled outlet as with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation with regard to the routing of the hot air pipe before ordering so that you know immediately whether the straight or the angled outlet is more suitable for your installation! High-altitude kit as standard - ready for any adventure Whether in Nepal or the Andes: The Air 2D is equipped with an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the combustion to the change in air pressure. This means it runs reliably even at high altitudes. Nevertheless important: At very high altitudes, the amount of oxygen decreases - and with it the maximum output of the heater. As a rule of thumb: from an altitude of approx. 2000 m, the heater loses approx. 5 % output per 500 meters of altitude. And: the higher the altitude, the more sensitive the heater is to resistance in the air flow. Therefore, especially for operation at high altitudes, use the shortest and simplest possible air ducting and above all avoid angles and kinks! You can also simply remove the pipework completely for this time. Maintenance: Don't forget to burn off Like any diesel engine, a diesel parking heater needs to reach a certain temperature from time to time to get rid of deposits. Therefore, when you leave the mountains, let it run at full load for an hour. The same applies if it is permanently operated at a low level. This is comparable to a proper highway trip to maintain a diesel car. Control and operating elements A control panel is included with the heater (simply select the appropriate one above). Double DIN panel for Land Rover Defender Instead of installing many individual devices in the vehicle's cockpit, it often makes sense to install a single, central device - this saves space, labour, wiring and reduces the risk of theft. Modern multimedia devices now combine a variety of functions such as navigation, hands-free system, rear view camera and vehicle diagnostics and can also play a variety of media - in addition to the classic analogue AM/FM radio reception, digital radio DAB is becoming more and more widespread, DVDs can be played in addition to CDs, MP3 files from USB sticks or hard drives can be played and iPhones or iPods can be controlled. WLan access points and the integration of Internet services such as Facebook can also be realised. In the Defender TD4 (from 2007), there is no space for this ex works. The double DIN installation kit offered here creates this space by relocating the switches to the sloping area between the centre console and the steering wheel, facing the driver. Furthermore, it provides space for the installation of any 52mm round instrument - e.g. an exhaust gas temperature or outside temperature display. This installation space can also be closed off by means of a dummy plug supplied. The panel is available in matt or glossy finish. Planar 2D Auxiliary Vehicle Heater We offer the Planar 2D auxiliary vehicle heater as a well-priced, powerful alternative to our Webasto auxiliary vehicle heater kits. With their compact size and a heater output of 1.8 kW, the Planar 2D is well-suited for fitting to smaller vehicles, vans, off-roaders, camper vans, boats or in confined spaces. It is ideal for 'typical' off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G oder Jeep Wrangler JK. The extensive fitting kit that is supplied with each heater make fitting easy. The Planar 2D can be easily controlled via its analogous control unit, with 8 settings available from 0,8 - 1,8 kW heat output. Available as both, 12 volts or 24 volts, this heater is European market approved (ECE label) and can thus be fitted independet of TUV approval. This reduces or prevents shooting of the combustion chamber when the atmospheric oxygen content drops. The max. Heating power drops in proportion to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly one can say: From 2.000 meters the loss of power per 500 m height is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3.440 m were no problem. No difficulties are to be expected up to 4.000 m. The software itself calculates up to 5.000 m - however, this has not yet been tested in real height. The separately available control unit with timer (optional extra) features a larger OLED display and more intuitive operation. Rock slider for the Jimny GJ and HJ
The rock slider for the Jimny GJ and HJ Tight-fitting rock slider made of aluminum with steel holding structure. To increase the rigidity of the slider panel, "dimple the" beads are pressed into the front. Replaces the original plastic sill protection. The steel holding structure is replaced by pressing in threaded rivets in the sill (attention, drilling out the existing holes from 8.5 mm to 9 mm necessary). On the underside, the retaining structure is held in position by clamping the sill rebate. The slider panel can be replaced separately if damaged, provided the substructure has not been damaged Sill fold protected. Our Rockslider is made of high-quality aluminum and black matt powder-coated. We opted for the lightweight design, so our Rockslider is a functional aluminum cab protection, therefore not suitable for a jack, but in medium-difficult terrain it is more than sufficient protection. There are many aluminium roof boxes on the market - ranging from expensive, heavy and cheap quality. This aluminium box has an excellent quality/price ratio. It's also water- and dust-proof according to the IP54-Norm. The aluminium alloy of the box offers good protection against salt water and other environmental toxicants. The material strength is 1.0 mm. waterproof / dustproof according to IP54 standard Delivery without FLIXPLUS lashings! Please note that there is one important consideration about aluminum. As always, we make sure our products are stored, handled and shipped with the utmost care. Aluminum boxes, however, can always show minimal scratches, dull spots, blemishes, small dents or other superficial marks on delivery. These are solely due to the specific properties of the material. On contact with atmospheric oxygen, aluminum develops a natural, anti-corrosion patina. Three times lighter than steel, it is also considerably softer, making it the perfect material for metal sheets, especially when weight and durability are important. The flip side of these properties, though, means that aluminum can never be entirely free of scratches, blemishes etc. This is why these surface marks do not constitute grounds for customer complaints. Side locker for Land Rover Defender, stainless steel, black powder-coated on the back left
Side Lockers Externally accessible storage space is standard in Land Rover emergency or service vehicles. And for good reasons. Firstly, unused hollow spaces within the body offer additional stowage and secondly, items that shouldn’t be stored inside the car due to access, hygiene or health reasons can be kept separately. Especially when the vehicle has been modified into a camper van or the load space has to be kept clean for humans and animals, it is a good idea to keep certain items in exterior storage. This includes oily tools, wet and dirty clothes or smelly and chemically hazardous items like jerry can spout, funnels or fuel-soaked rags. Camping fans particularly like to store gas cookers, cartridges and cooking accessories in the side locker. Using the lid as a table, your morning coffee tastes best besides your vehicle. We have completely overhauled the side locker and managed to improve some of the key features significantly. So, if you haven’t cut a hole in the rear left of your Defender yet (or had it done for you*), it’s now time to do so. And if you already have our old side locker installed, you can easily upgrade to the new version. Dimensions and mounting holes are fully compatible so that the upgrade can be installed in no time. What’s new? The box is now welded all around and the construction has been designed to meet the requirements of IP67. This has greatly improved the stainless steel locker’s robustness and waterproofing. We also added a new compression key lock with IP66 certification. The lock’s clamp can be adjusted so that the lid will stay permanently tight and rattle-free. The lid’s hinges are mounted at the bottom and it is held at a 90° angle by small chains on either side, forming a small tray or table. The side locker is custom-made for Defender 110s. The five door station wagon will take the storage box behind the rear left wheel arch, the three door hard top alternatively offers installation in front of the wheel arch. Alternatively, this middle position in the hard top Landy can also take our bigger locker with even more stowage space. Nakatanenga Mudguard Stowage Box The Nakatanenga mudguard storage boxes for the Land Rover Defender 90 / 110 are very light thanks to the case construction used, yet robust - an ideal combination for any touring vehicle! In addition, there are very high-quality fittings with field-proven performance features and great flexibility in design. We offer the box in two lengths as standard. The short design (630 mm length) is intended for the right-hand side of the Defender. The long design (900 mm length) is used on the left-hand side. If an internal roll cage is fitted, a mudguard stowage box can still be fitted: no modification is necessary on the right side due to the tank connection, the short box is used on the left. If you need special lengths or already have other installations in the rear of the vehicle, please contact us - we can work out very flexible solutions for you! Solar panel for hood, 12V, for various vehicles
Solar panel for bonnet Next generation solar cells are increasingly integrated into structural components. Instead of separate, awkwardly mounted modules on the roof of a house, for example, the roof tiles themselves function as solar panels. Our PV modules for the hoods of 4x4s and vans follow this principle. While they do not yet replace the hood, they are so thin (only 3 mm) and so flexible that they precisely fit the shape of the hood – making them hard to recognize as an extra add-on. In addition, they are also extremely aerodynamic and robust enough to even step on them if needed. The hood modules for Defenders Td5 and Td4, New Defender, Jimny 2, Mercedes G-Class and Sprinter have an output of between 75 and 90 W at 12 V, depending on the model. Your only requirement is sufficient sunlight to generate enough power for the primary and secondary batteries in the car during the day. This in turn enables you to reliably operate all the devices needed in a camper or expedition vehicle: navigation and communication devices, laptop, cooking equipment, refrigerator and much more. Your equipment always remains fully functional and a sufficient charge of the starter battery is also guaranteed. Mounting the PV module and wiring it up to the batteries in the vehicle are equally easy DIY jobs. This additional shelf with its generous dimensions of about 860 x 525 mm takes a load of about 50 kg and is intended for heavier equipment, tools etc. As with the CargoBear roof rack, the cargo shelf is made of robust, powder-coated and perforated aluminum. Raised edges, anti-slip surface and a variety of lashing points make it very easy to ensure one hundred percent load security. The Jimny is mostly a specialized working vehicle for farmers, forest workers and hunters. That means, there’s always lots of tools, fuels, lubricants, equipment, feed bags and dirty clothes that you don’t want to pile up on the small surface area of the cargo hold. Add animals – dead and alive – to the mix and you get the picture.Once we’ve spotted this particular problem, we immediately set to work on it and are now offering a mini-version of our CargoBear system specifically for the back of the Jimny GJ/HJ.
