Great conversion kit for the 2nd row of seats With the introduction of Td4 Puma models from MY2007 onwards, Defenders featured not only a new engine and drive train but also significant changes to the interior. Due to new safety regulations, second row seats and their mounting points required a new layout. Consequently, more recent Td4 back seats will not fit when restoring or converting older pre-2007 models. Our conversion kit enables you to install post-2007 second row seats in pre-2007 110 Defender Station Wagons. The back seat mounting kit contains a mid-crossmember, two second row seat supports, chassis bracket fixing kits and two adapted front panels for the rear wheel arches. All parts are galvanized.

Nakatanenga CargoBear cross bars There’s only one real alternative for the full CargoBear roof rack: the CargoBear cross bars on their own! If you don’t need the entire cargo platform on your New Defender, because you carry only long work equipment or sports gear like surfboards, skis or kayaks, the cross bars alone will do the job perfectly. The same applies for roof tent campers. For the new 110 Landy this means that the standard setup consists of 3 cross beams for the entire length of the roof. The sturdy bars will give you a roof rack that is significantly more robust than any off-the-shelf rooftop carrier. The cross bars are available single or as sets of 2 or 3. They are 100% identical to the ones we sell in the CargoBear kits, i.e. they are 1,450 mm wide (1,300 mm usable) and 120 mm long. The aluminum bars feature stainless steel bases that connect to the standard roof rail via inserted sliding blocks (included). As with the complete CargoBear platform, the bars can be mounted on two height levels, 80 or 100 mm respectively. Choosing the higher level will ensure that your roof window retains its full functionality. The crossbars feature a very wear and tear resistant matte black RAL 9005 powder-coating. A great number of recessed lashing slots allow you to attach lashing rings, brackets, hooks, stud fittings etc. You can also attach your lashing straps directly, of course. The standard CargoBear accessories will also fit the various lashing and mounting points. Thanks to the modular system, this makes a future upgrade to a full CargoBear platform absolutely hassle-free.

This means that the heater automatically reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heat output decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly speaking, from 2,000 metres the loss of output per 500 m altitude is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3,440 m were trouble-free. Up to 4,000 m no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not yet be tested at real altitude. Important:Especially when used at high altitude, the free travel of the fan is extremely important!Route the combustion air intake and exhaust extremely short and with low resistance - i.e. no kinks, no blockage or reduction. It should also be noted that operation beyond 3,000 m is still a technical compromise. Again, care should be taken to ensure that the combustion chamber is properly heated on a regular basis. The chamber must be burnt free of soot deposits. Soot deposits can also form on heaters that are permanently run at the lowest setting. Therefore, the following still applies: No guarantee for sooty combustion chambers! In order to ensure the longevity of the heater, you should also free-burn it occasionally at low levels. The combustion chamber reaches full temperature after running at full load for about half an hour. Normally, no further maintenance is required. In case of extreme loads, e.g. during longer overnight stays at more than 4,000 m, the combustion chamber including the seal set should be cleaned if necessary. This full stainless steel spare wheel carrier for Defender SW/HT is the successor to our Defender spare wheel carrier RRHNAHI sold by the hundreds. It is available in two colours. The Defender rear door suffers from the heavy weight of the large spare wheel. Depending on use, after about five years or 50.000 kms the first cracks in the rear door frame appear. There are two solutions for this well-known problem: either move the spare wheel to the bonnet (see our bonnet spare wheel mount for that, not possible for post MY 2007 Defenders) or you fit our rear door spare wheel carrier. It takes off the complete weight from the rear door and opens along with the door. The carrier is fitted to the rear crossmember, a plate is mounted to the existing holes in the door, which is then attached to the carrier with two cranked stainless steel pivots. This carrier has been tested extensively, among others on the "Grand Erg" rallye and combines easy fitting with high toughness and exeptional usability. Available for all Defender models with rear door (Station and Hardtop). Improved design in 2014 and full stainless steel fabrication. Its power makes the new Landy the ultimate towing vehicle up to 3.5t towing capacity. And the fact, that the trailer hitch – whether detachable or electrically deployable – has to be ordered as an extra, is not really a disadvantage. When configuring your New Defender it’s probably best to skip this feature and get a heavy duty towbar like the one from GDW with its 13-pin electric connector kit by Erich Jaeger. The advantages of the GDW trailer hitch are obvious: A 4-bolt mounting plate will fit the included towball hitch but also any other type of coupling, the GDW coupling block comes at a much more competitive price than the OEM parts.
