For more stability and smooth running Improved intermediate shaft for the MT82 gearbox in the Land Rover Defender TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 Known problem: The intermediate shaft on the TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 models is not greased and is not supplied with oil. The connection of the two-part intermediate shaft wears out after prolonged use, since the shaft with the outer gear rim is in direct contact with the shaft with the inner gear rim. In the worst case, this wear causes the ring gear to shear off and the vehicle to stop. Regular greasing of the ring gear helps, but is very cumbersome in the long run. Our solution: The improved intermediate shaft supplies itself with the oil of the gearbox and thus prevents the shafts from wearing out. Easy and uncomplicated!

Nakatanenga CargoBear 2.0 – The Lightweight and High-Performance Roof Rack When it comes to powerful performance, our very own CargoBear is definitely the Grizzly among roof racks. Strong, sturdy and massively versatile, it was way ahead of its time when we introduced it in 2016. But the world is turning, evolution doesn’t favor a standstill and if you want to survive in nature, you need to keep innovating. Leaner and meaner is this new bear, the CargoBear 2.0, when he emerges from his winter den in Berg. Same load bearing strength, same solidity, same rigidity, but greatly reduced fight weight: Your 4x4 has to carry around 30 % less weight on the roof. And on top of it, the new CargoBear comes with a reduced price tag as well. How did we do it? The crucial difference lies in a new construction design. Removing the comparatively heavy longitudinal connecting beams, their structural function has been taken over by newly developed perforated HIGRIP plates between the crossbars and angled end-plates for the sides. The new design achieves (nearly) the same structural strength as its predecessor but reduces the net weight considerably. The CargoBear 2.0 has been designed for a load capacity of 300 kg off-road (with evenly distributed load). This can easily be doubled on the road. Theoretically, that is, because it’s important to make two points when it comes to roof racks. One, keep in mind that your vehicle’s centre of gravity can shift upwards considerably when carrying a roof rack with cargo, especially off-road. And two, when loading your roof rack, the limitations will most likely result from your vehicles approved roof load which in most cases will be significantly below the specifications of the rack itself. Some of the CargoBear 2.0’s features stay the same, however, because we found them hard to improve: this includes the jet-black, super-flat look, the high-performance material and the modular versatility. Furthermore, all accessories, additional components, roof tents etc. are fully compatible with the first generation. And last but not least, the old heavier CargoBear with longitudinal beams and checker plate will be continued exclusively for classic Defenders who need specific heavy-duty applications. Retrofit kit electric windows for Land Rover Defender Electric windows were first introduced in the Defender when the Td5 was overhauled in 2002. All doors and door trims were adapted at that point, so that from MY2002 onwards, even models with manual crank handles in the rear seat doors can be retrofitted with electric openers. The complete electric window opener kit makes swapping or retrofitting dead easy. The assembly kit contains the lifting mechanism, electric wiring, fastening materials, covers and the switches for both rear seat doors.

THE ALL NEW EXTREMEspec MT82 output shaft kit from LOF On Defenders with 2.4 and 2.2 Tdci Puma engines, it is a very common fault that the coupling shaft between the MT82 gearbox and the Lt230 transfer box wears out and fails! This is due to the shaft’s original two-part design with a dry splined coupling. Without grease, the grinding of metal on metal wears down the spines and eventually you’ll notice first a clunking noise and ultimately a total loss of drive. Solutions with specially greased OEM parts were unable to fix the problem, so the specialists at LOF have come up with a solid one-piece design for the coupling shaft to replace the splined coupling. Performance tuning for all Land Rover Td5 2.5 A well-balanced tuning for your Land Rover Defender or Discovery Td5 2.5 - model year 2002-2006, which gets dormant power reserves out of the engine without damaging it. Only engines can be tuned whose control unit has an article number that begins with the numerical sequence NNN or higher (e.g. NNW)! In contrast to many others, this tuning does not aim for a maximum increase in performance, but rather an engine-friendly and at the same time clearly noticeable increase in horsepower and torque. In this way, the engine uses its full potential - this makes sense, for example, when driving frequently on the motorway. The configuration is done according to the customer's wishes - in case of special requirements: Just get in touch with us! Possible configurations: Power increase to 114KW/155PS at 330Nm Power upgrade to 129KW/175PS at 390Nm, incl. larger intercooler The price of the 175hp tuning already includes the larger intercooler. We do not offer it without it, as this would put too much thermal load on the engine. Only for motorsport, no road approval! Side Lockers Externally accessible storage space is standard in Land Rover emergency or service vehicles. And for good reasons. Firstly, unused hollow spaces within the body offer additional stowage and secondly, items that shouldn’t be stored inside the car due to access, hygiene or health reasons can be kept separately. Especially when the vehicle has been modified into a camper van or the load space has to be kept clean for humans and animals, it is a good idea to keep certain items in exterior storage. This includes oily tools, wet and dirty clothes or smelly and chemically hazardous items like jerry can spout, funnels or fuel-soaked rags. Camping fans particularly like to store gas cookers, cartridges and cooking accessories in the side locker. Using the lid as a table, your morning coffee tastes best besides your vehicle. We have completely overhauled the side locker and managed to improve some of the key features significantly. So, if you haven’t cut a hole in the rear left of your Defender yet (or had it done for you*), it’s now time to do so. And if you already have our old side locker installed, you can easily upgrade to the new version. Dimensions and mounting holes are fully compatible so that the upgrade can be installed in no time. What’s new? The box is now welded all around and the construction has been designed to meet the requirements of IP67. This has greatly improved the stainless steel locker’s robustness and waterproofing. We also added a new compression key lock with IP66 certification. The lock’s clamp can be adjusted so that the lid will stay permanently tight and rattle-free. The lid’s hinges are mounted at the bottom and it is held at a 90° angle by small chains on either side, forming a small tray or table. The side locker is custom-made for Defender 110s. The five door station wagon will take the storage box behind the rear left wheel arch, the three door hard top alternatively offers installation in front of the wheel arch. Alternatively, this middle position in the hard top Landy can also take our bigger locker with even more stowage space. The new side storage locker can also be installed in all other camper vans and expedition vehicles which offer suitable space in the body. As always, we are happy to assist with any questions you have. Water and dust proof! De-cat pipe for Land Rover Defender Td4 2.2 replaces standard catalytic converter and thus reduces back pressure in the exhaust system. Better airflow of exhaust gases and thus better throttle response.In conjunction with other tuning options like K&N performance filter, chip tuning with performance intercooler und performance high-flow main silencer engine power can be increased noticably. Please note our fitting flat-charge! Please note that when fitting a de-cat pipe within the German road law your vehicle approval with be void. The de-cat pipe fits all vehicle lengths (90/110/130). There are different pipes for Td4 (MY 2007-2011) and Td5 (My 2002-2006) engines. The de-cat pipe is not suitable for Defender Td4 2.2 (from MY2012) because of the particulate filter. If your Landy is not just a Chelsea tractor and regularly has to tow more than one kind of trailer, the odds are you will need an adjustable tow hitch. The first advantage over a static solution, of course, is the fact that you can adjust the height very easily just by moving slider and pin. Secondly, and more conveniently, you can also permanently mount several different tow systems to a number of slider plates. That means switching coupling types like tow ball, jaw or NATO is literally a matter of seconds. Pull the pin out, switch the slider plate, push the pin back in. Done. No screws, no nuts or bolts to fasten. The adjustable tow hitch is available for TD5/TD4 90, 110 and 110/130 high capacity pickup and comes as a complete assembly kit with the necessary chassis struts, the bracket for the rear cross member, mounts for electrics, slider frame, slider plate with tow ball, a choice of 7- or 13-pin electric coupling and all necessary fastening materials. Most importantly: the assembly kit is certified by an attached E-number (E11 for UK as country of origin) and that means the parts are road legal and you are not obliged to get additional certification or separate technical approval as may be required otherwise in your respective country. The number with the capital “E” stands for a general type approval within the ECE treaty. This includes the EU, the EEC, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries worldwide. To be on the safe side in traffic stops, however, it is advisable to have the E-number on the part well visible and the part documents should preferably be with your registration papers in the vehicle.

Double DIN panel for Land Rover Defender Instead of installing many individual devices in the vehicle's cockpit, it often makes sense to install a single, central device - this saves space, labour, wiring and reduces the risk of theft. Modern multimedia devices now combine a variety of functions such as navigation, hands-free system, rear view camera and vehicle diagnostics and can also play a variety of media - in addition to the classic analogue AM/FM radio reception, digital radio DAB is becoming more and more widespread, DVDs can be played in addition to CDs, MP3 files from USB sticks or hard drives can be played and iPhones or iPods can be controlled. WLan access points and the integration of Internet services such as Facebook can also be realised. In the Defender TD4 (from 2007), there is no space for this ex works. The double DIN installation kit offered here creates this space by relocating the switches to the sloping area between the centre console and the steering wheel, facing the driver. Furthermore, it provides space for the installation of any 52mm round instrument - e.g. an exhaust gas temperature or outside temperature display. For maximum off-road performance This kit consists of two half shafts and two heavy-duty drive flanges. The Raptor Heavy Duty rear shafts are made from SAE4340 Nickel Chromoly alloy steel, that provide the optimum level of strength and flex when heat-treated. They have the ability to twist without breaking as well as extremely high fatigue resistance, which enables the shafts to tolerate repeated shock loading. This ability to flex without breaking also helps protecting other drivetrain components. All shafts are 24 spline and primarily suited to post 1994 axles, although they can be fitted to earlier vehicles with additional work. Diesel replacement pump for Land Rover Defender Td5 w. Installation kit The problem of the susceptible diesel pump on the TD5 is well known: Even comparatively minor contamination can cause the diesel pump to fail. Annoyingly, the original pump is located in the tank, which means that you first have to remove the tank to access the diesel pump.Our replacement diesel pump is not installed in the tank but outside, which makes it easy to access and it also has a replaceable filter. This can be easily replaced in the event of contamination. The pump is located outside the tank and is looped into the line. The fine filter mounted on the suction side gets all dirt and grime out of the diesel base and is easy and inexpensive to replace (see replacement filter). The original pump must be removed and replaced with a suction hose. The pump housing with tank sensor, however, remains.The pump works with any tank or auxiliary tank. Since the pump also has suction power, it does not have to be installed at the lowest point. The connection is made via LR quick-release couplings or optionally via normal diesel hoses. The pump is installed outside the tank in a protected place. On the Defender 110, for example, above the rear axle on the chassis beam. Our pre-assembled complete kit with replacement filter comes with detailed installation instructions. The tank must be removed for installation, as the original pump is removed. From bumpers to snorkels – the right Defender accessories for the road ahead
If you want to turn a Defender into a travel vehicle, you need more than good spirit and a full tank. A winch bumper, for example – not because you've bogged yourself down, of course, but purely to pull everyone else out. We recommend our Nakatanenga winch bumper for the Defender, available as a bundle with winches from Horntools or Superwinch, with or without auxiliary lights.
But there are moments when no prayer helps, only proper recovery gear. With recovery points, rear crossmember reinforcements and traction boards, you stay in control even when the ground decides to create its own adventure. Everything is robust, tested and ready for real-world off road use.
If you're planning long distances far from civilisation, it's best to upgrade with a 56-litre auxiliary tank or a 66-litre version, while the Defender underbody protection ensures sharp rocks, roots or curious boulders don't leave deeper marks. The Defender snorkel, or raised air intake, is essential for anyone heading into desert regions or water crossings – though even Hamburg puddles can look surprisingly deep. Available for Td4, Td5 and Tdi in different versions for Defenders with or without roll cages.
Defender suspension, wheels and tyres
No adventure without proper suspension. A Defender suspension kit isn't about taste, it depends on how you use the vehicle. Whether it's a 90, 110 or 130, there's a setup for every purpose – from a family daily driver to a fully loaded long-distance touring vehicle. For the right off road look, you can add steel wheels such as our classic ANR wheels, Wolf wheels or equally robust Dotz Dakar wheels.

Interior with character – sports seats for the Defender
If you cover long distances, you should sit comfortably. With new seat foams you can preserve the original Defender seat charm, Defender sports seats add modern support on rough tracks, and matching seat covers protect the material or hide the scars of past expeditions. Classic style returns with the right Defender steering wheels.
And then there's the sort of Defender accessories that make you wonder why Land Rover never fitted them from the factory: leather door handles, a proper glove box, a sturdy A-pillar grab handle so getting in doesn't feel like a mini mountain climb every time.
Seat rail extensions – apparently British engineers didn't know tall legs. A two-colour interior light, a handy rear cubbybox tray and of course the rear door strut that stops the door from hitting your back when the Defender is on uneven ground.

Whether it's a heater, laptop, fridge or phone, you need power on the road. That's why one of the first upgrades many Defenders receive is a dual battery system. Ours comes with a stainless steel bracket for two Banner 80Ah batteries, including wiring loom and split relay. You can add a battery monitor if desired. Perfectly matched with the bonnet solar panel for Td5 and Td4.
In the lighting section you'll find everything from 7-inch headlights and LED indicators to light bars from Osram and Vision-X, plus a matching lamp bracket. Reversing lights, interior lighting and a number plate light with camera are also part of the range.
Roof racks, storage and order in the chaos
