Nakatanenga Lamp Bracket for Land Rover Defender The Nakatanenga lamp bracket is the answer to customer requests for a flat mounting solution for lamps on the Land Rover Defender, which does not increase the overall height of the vehicle (when the lamps are mounted suspended) - this means that, for example, the use of an underground garage / driveway is still possible without having to do without adequate lighting. The one-piece bracket is made entirely of stainless steel and powder-coated in black. It offers four mounting eyes for individual spotlights or the feet of one or two LED bars. It also has an additional mounting eyelet in the centre (facing backwards) that can be used for a GPS or radio antenna. The support tube has openings so that the connecting cables of the headlamps (not supplied) can be neatly routed inside it. Eyelets for attaching cable ties round off the well thought-out details. The bracket is equipped with four round Vision-X Cannon 25 W LED spotlights, which have an E-mark. A total luminous flux of 10,000 lumens is generated from one 25 W Luminus LED per lamp (raw), the power consumption is only 2.1 A (at 12 V), the lights are multi-voltage capable (9-32 V). All luminaires have a narrow, far-reaching illumination to the front. If you require a different light characteristic (e.g. wide beam) or a different light colour (e.g. yellow for fog or blue for snow), please order the optional add-on filters. Cannot be combined with the original Land Rover lamps and also not with Mantec lamps! For a clean installation, we recommend the Aquasignal cable gland for the roof (so that the light bar remains easily removable) as well as our power distributor with fuse holder. For TD4 built in 2007-2016 Information about the clutch automat with friction disc, release bearing and clutch slave cylinderEspecially with switching operations under higher load, such in trailer operation or in performance-enhanced vehicles, enormous forces must be transmitted by the clutch. A common problem with the Defender's original clutch is the failure of the insufficiently sized torsion springs. The torsion springs, specially adapted to the Defender Td4, eliminate the familiar problems of clattering or jamming clutches. Another, but less common, problem is the ingress of oil from the engine or transmission into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and occurs during driving by the resulting frictional heat repeatedly to the friction lining. Due to the reduced traction it comes in the episode to a higher heat development and vitrification of the coverings. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive! The organic coating used in this coupling can not absorb oil and therefore does not vitrify. It convinces with specially adapted friction modifiers with a soft response and enables a 100% adhesion. Of course, the pads are asbestos- and lead-free, free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds. Information on the reinforced intermediate shaft for MT82 transmissions.Improved intermediate shaft for MT82 transmission in Land Rover Defender TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 Known problem: The intermediate shaft of the TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 models is not greased and is not supplied with oil. The connection of the two-piece intermediate shaft wears after prolonged use, since the shaft with outer ring gear has direct contact with the shaft with inner ring gear. In the worst case, this wear ensures that the sprocket shears off and the vehicle thus stops. A regular lubrication of the sprocket helps, but is in the long run very cumbersome Our solution: The improved intermediate shaft is supplied with the oil of the gearbox and thus prevents the wear of the shafts. Easy and uncomplicated! We recommend replacing the pilot bearing when replacing the coupling. Please note: Before installing the clutch, the dimension of the following step must be measured on the flywheelIf the dimension is 25.4 mm, the clutch can be installed.If the measurement is 22.2 mm, a Ford flywheel is installed. Nakatanenga Winch Bumper 2 for Land Rover Defender The new Nakatanenga NAWIBU2 winch bumper is equally suitable for Land Rover Defender 90/110/130 with or without air conditioning. It fits all model years and engine types, such as Td4, Td5, Tdi, Tdci, Puma, 2.5, 2.4 and 2.2. Locally manufactured for us, the winch bumper is powder-coated black and protects the front of the vehicle even during tough off-road use. The two integrated, swivelling recovery eyes are ideally suited for self and external recovery - or for attaching an optional pulley, which doubles the pulling force of the winch or makes difficult recoveries possible in the first place. The design of the winch bumper allows for easy registration by means of a fee-based individual approval. One of the main innovations of the NAWIBU2 bumper compared to its predecessor is the optional possibility to mount two 70mm driving lamps in a recessed position - this way they are optimally protected against damage in the terrain. We use LED driving lights from Nolden, which provide excellent light with low power consumption. They have an E-mark and can therefore be used without registration. In order to harmonise with any existing Nolden Bi-LED main headlights, the auxiliary driving lamps are available in black or chrome-coloured optics. If you order the bumper without headlights, the openings for headlights are not present. Depending on the vehicle version and winch type, it may be necessary to adapt the radiator grille. A total luminous flux of 1,3804 lumens is generated from 7 LEDs per lamp (raw), the power consumption is only 2.9 A (at 12 V), the lights are multi-voltage capable (9-32 V). The two lights for mounting on the outer fastening points of the carrier ensure good visibility to the right and left of the vehicle with 60° illumination, while the two inner lights with 10° illumination provide a beam of light directed far to the front - in this way, as large an area as possible is illuminated in a practical manner and obstacles on the roadway as well as to the right and left of it can be recognized (e.g. approaching game). Cannot be combined with the original Land Rover lamps and also not with Mantec lamps! For a clean installation we recommend the Aquasignal cable grommet for the roof (so the light bar remains easily removable) as well as our power distributor with fuse holder. Nakatanenga Spare Wheel Carrier Defender Pickup / Softtop, until MY2016 To preserve the original Defender look and to make room on the inside we adjusted our classic spare wheel carrier for the pic-up version of the defender (Attention: there is a separate version available for the classic hardtop). The carrier is independent from the rear gate, we eliminated any noise and made it from stainless steel. The carrier is thoroughly tested, e.g. on the "Grand Erg" Rally. It was designed to ease the installation while guaranteeing usability and resilience. In 2014 we further improved the design and started manufacturing entirely from stainless steel. The bearing does not require service, the entire carrier is corrosion resistant and can be removed just as easily as installed if needed. This wheel mount is compatible with the additional step and with the hitch from Land Rover, as well as our rear bumpers The carrier can easily be mounted yourself alternatively we also offer an installation service. Simply add the service flat rate to your cart and we'll contact you to confirm your appointment. The carrier does not swing open by itself, secondary unlocking to the gate is necessary. The carrier is also available in black or can be painted matching to your vehicle. Attention: This mount would also work on a Stationwagon. BUT: the carrier always needs to be opened separately from the outside and does not stay opened (on the pickup this is secured by the gate). Highest load capacity This kit consists of two half shafts, two CV joints and two heavy-duty drive flanges. The Raptor Heavy Duty front shafts are made from SAE4340 Nickel Chromoly alloy steel, that provide the optimum level of strength and flex when heat-treated. They have the ability to twist without breaking as well as extremely high fatigue resistance, which enables the shafts to tolerate repeated shock loading. This ability to flex without breaking also helps protecting other drivetrain components. All shafts are 24 spline and primarily suited to post 1994 axles, although they can be fitted to earlier vehicles with additional work. From bumpers to snorkels – the right Defender accessories for the road ahead
If you want to turn a Defender into a travel vehicle, you need more than good spirit and a full tank. A winch bumper, for example – not because you’ve bogged yourself down, of course, but purely to pull everyone else out. We recommend our Nakatanenga winch bumper for the Defender, available as a bundle with winches from Horntools or Superwinch, with or without auxiliary lights.
But there are moments when no prayer helps, only proper recovery gear. With recovery points, rear crossmember reinforcements and traction boards, you stay in control even when the ground decides to create its own adventure. Everything is robust, tested and ready for real-world off road use.
If you’re planning long distances far from civilisation, it’s best to upgrade with a 56-litre auxiliary tank or a 66-litre version, while the Defender underbody protection ensures sharp rocks, roots or curious boulders don’t leave deeper marks. The Defender snorkel, or raised air intake, is essential for anyone heading into desert regions or water crossings – though even Hamburg puddles can look surprisingly deep. Available for Td4, Td5 and Tdi in different versions for Defenders with or without roll cages.
Defender suspension, wheels and tyres
No adventure without proper suspension. A Defender suspension kit isn’t about taste, it depends on how you use the vehicle. Whether it’s a 90, 110 or 130, there’s a setup for every purpose – from a family daily driver to a fully loaded long-distance touring vehicle. For the right off road look, you can add steel wheels such as our classic ANR wheels, Wolf wheels or equally robust Dotz Dakar wheels.

Interior with character – sports seats for the Defender
If you cover long distances, you should sit comfortably. With new seat foams you can preserve the original Defender seat charm, Defender sports seats add modern support on rough tracks, and matching seat covers protect the material or hide the scars of past expeditions. Classic style returns with the right Defender steering wheels.
And then there’s the sort of Defender accessories that make you wonder why Land Rover never fitted them from the factory: leather door handles, a proper glove box, a sturdy A-pillar grab handle so getting in doesn’t feel like a mini mountain climb every time.
Seat rail extensions – apparently British engineers didn’t know tall legs. A two-colour interior light, a handy rear cubbybox tray and of course the rear door strut that stops the door from hitting your back when the Defender is on uneven ground.
Dual battery system, electrics and lighting – power where you need it
Whether it’s a heater, laptop, fridge or phone, you need power on the road. That’s why one of the first upgrades many Defenders receive is a dual battery system. Ours comes with a stainless steel bracket for two Banner 80Ah batteries, including wiring loom and split relay. You can add a battery monitor if desired. Perfectly matched with the bonnet solar panel for Td5 and Td4.
In the lighting section you’ll find everything from 7-inch headlights and LED indicators to light bars from Osram and Vision-X, plus a matching lamp bracket. Reversing lights, interior lighting and a number plate light with camera are also part of the range.
Roof racks, storage and order in the chaos
The CargoBear roof rack for the Defender is almost too good-looking to load up.
