Accessories Dashboard Mounting Point for New Defender L663 Practical mounts for cell phones, navigation devices, tablets, and other gadgets are indispensable, because even the latest cars with all their "connectivity" don't deliver everything an off-roader, overland explorer or ambitious camper requires. However, cheap plastic mounts are usually a waste of money and not everyone wants to stick suction cups to their windows either. Our mounting plates for the side handles on the dashboard of the New Defender are designed to support heavy duty mounts – like those from market leader RAM Mounts. The plate’s tight hold makes sure that nothing wobbles, collapses or falls off. But most of all, there are no suction cups involved as they tend to come loose when off-roading or speeding along bumpy dirt roads.The mounting plate is powder-coated black to match the interior of the new Landy and you simply fasten it with the existing screws of the handle. No drilling is required and removal is as easy as installation. Three strong, internally threaded 6 mm screw holes (M6) allow you to mount ball joints, brackets and other mounting equipment, either from RAM Mounts or other brands. And while parked, they are an open invitation for burglars and thieves.That’s why we have expanded our range of ventilation plates and are now offering them for both sides of the rear sliding windows in the old Landy (up to MY 2016). The plates have a folding mechanism in the middle that allows for vertical positioning in the open window. By pushing the windowpane forward and locking it, the ventilation plate sits firmly in position – allowing for perfect ventilation without compromising comfort or security while driving or parking.A standard feature of our ventilation plates is the insect mesh inside the horizontal ventilation slits. It's possible: the adjustable panels with mosquito netting are made of aluminium, can be adjusted to 450–625 mm and provide comfort for couples without rattling makeshift solutions. With their black powder coating, they are discreet in appearance and ideal for many applications, from small cars to vans. Installation is straightforward: wind down the window, insert the ventilation panel, close the window again – and it sits securely and rattle-free. ⚠️ Important note: Children and animals must never be left in the vehicle at high temperatures, even with ventilation panels in place. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you still want to build corner protectors on the Land Rover Defender 90 or if you have already attached them, you need the flap holders WITH recess (select "vehicle type"). The original spray flap brackets are made of painted steel. Anyone who has been driving a Defender for a long time knows that every few years the brackets rust through, as the paintwork flakes off over time and dirt, oily deposits and constant moisture provide the perfect conditions for corrosion. Our own custom-fit splash guard brackets are not only made of stainless steel, but are also powder-coated black. This makes them extremely robust, corrosion-resistant and durable. This finally puts an end to the constant replacement of the holders. Of course, existing splash flaps can still be used.Suitable for Land Rover Defender up to MY2016.
