A common problem with the Defender's original clutch is the failure of the insufficiently sized torsion springs. The torsion springs, specially adapted to the Defender Td4, eliminate the familiar problems of clattering or jamming clutches. Another, but less common, problem is the ingress of oil from the engine or transmission into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and occurs during driving by the resulting frictional heat repeatedly to the friction lining. Due to the reduced traction it comes in the episode to a higher heat development and vitrification of the coverings. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive! The organic coating used in this coupling can not absorb oil and therefore does not vitrify. It convinces with specially adapted friction modifiers with a soft response and enables a 100% adhesion. Of course, the pads are asbestos- and lead-free, free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds. Parabolic springs for 88" and 109", Land Rover Series II, IIA and III, front (2-layer) and rear axle (3-layer); including Cellular Dynamic shock absorbers Basically, a parabolic spring is a spring that consists of two or more leaves. The leaves only touch in three places: In the centre, where they are attached to the axle, and at the outer ends, where they are attached to the vehicle. Between these points, the leaves do not touch, unlike conventional leaf springs.Since in the Parabolic spring a spring tapers from the wide centre to the outer ends, a single leaf acts like a complete spring - the thickness of the spring changes according to a parabola and provides a constant distribution of tension. Each leaf has more or less the shape of a complete multi-leaf spring and can therefore withstand a comparable force. The high quality OEM parabolic springs are paired with Cellular Dynamic shock absorbers. Also included in the kit are leaf spring correction wedges that can be used to correct caster or diff bolt angle by 3 degrees. The parabolic springs include u-bolts and nuts. Nakatanenga Lamp Bracket for Land Rover Defender The Nakatanenga lamp bracket is the answer to customer requests for a flat mounting solution for lamps on the Land Rover Defender, which does not increase the overall height of the vehicle (when the lamps are mounted suspended) - so that, for example, the use of an underground garage / driveway is still possible without having to do without adequate lighting.The one-piece bracket is made entirely of stainless steel, glass bead blasted and black powder coated. It offers four mounting eyes for individual spotlights or the feet of one or two LED bars. It also has an additional mounting eyelet in the centre (facing backwards) that can be used for a GPS or radio antenna. The support tube has openings so that the connecting cables of the headlamps (not supplied) can be neatly routed inside it. Eyelets for attaching cable ties round off the well thought-out details.The bracket is equipped with four round Vision-X Utility Market Extreme LED worklights. A total luminous flux of 1,3804 lumens is generated from 7 LEDs per lamp (raw), the power consumption is only 2.9 A (at 12 V), the lights are multi-voltage capable (9-32 V). The two lights for mounting on the outer fastening points of the carrier ensure good visibility to the right and left of the vehicle with 60° illumination, while the two inner lights with 10° illumination provide a beam of light directed far to the front - in this way, as large an area as possible is illuminated in a practical manner and obstacles on the roadway as well as to the right and left of it can be recognized (e.g. approaching game). Cannot be combined with the original Land Rover lamps and also not with Mantec lamps! For a clean installation we recommend the Aquasignal cable grommet for the roof (so the light bar remains easily removable) as well as our power distributor with fuse holder. GDW hitch bracket with 13-pin Erich Jaeger E set The New Defender L663 (from MY 2019) is not only an extraordinary off-road vehicle, it also packs a remarkable punch. The wide variety of engines from Diesel and petrol to PHEV deliver between 200 and 525 HP and 400 to 650 Nm torque. Its power makes the new Landy the ultimate towing vehicle up to 3.5t towing capacity. And the fact, that the trailer hitch – whether detachable or electrically deployable – has to be ordered as an extra, is not really a disadvantage. When configuring your New Defender it’s probably best to skip this feature and get a heavy duty towbar like the one from GDW with its 13-pin electric connector kit by Erich Jaeger. The advantages of the GDW trailer hitch are obvious: A 4-bolt mounting plate will fit the included towball hitch but also any other type of coupling, the GDW coupling block comes at a much more competitive price than the OEM parts. Installation and road use do not need to be technically certified, by the way. The GDW towbar was custom-designed specifically for the New Defender. It comes with detailed assembly instructions and a complete electrics kit. Installing the towbar will take approximately 3 hours. Please note:The GDW towbar may interfere with the sensors of the vehicle’s parking aid. If you rely on this system, you should use the original tow bar. Great conversion kit for the 2nd row of seats With the introduction of Td4 Puma models from MY2007 onwards, Defenders featured not only a new engine and drive train but also significant changes to the interior. Due to new safety regulations, second row seats and their mounting points required a new layout. Consequently, more recent Td4 back seats will not fit when restoring or converting older pre-2007 models. Our conversion kit enables you to install post-2007 second row seats in pre-2007 110 Defender Station Wagons. The back seat mounting kit contains a mid-crossmember, two second row seat supports, chassis bracket fixing kits and two adapted front panels for the rear wheel arches. All parts are galvanized.

Nakatanenga Mudguard Stowage Box The Nakatanenga mudguard storage boxes for the Land Rover Defender 90 / 110 are very light thanks to the case construction used, yet robust - an ideal combination for any touring vehicle! In addition, there are very high-quality fittings with field-proven performance features and great flexibility in design. We offer the box in two lengths as standard. The short design (630 mm length) is intended for the right-hand side of the Defender. The long design (900 mm length) is used on the left-hand side. If an internal roll cage is fitted, a mudguard stowage box can still be fitted: no modification is necessary on the right side due to the tank connection, the short box is used on the left. If you need special lengths or already have other installations in the rear of the vehicle, please contact us - we can work out very flexible solutions for you!
