Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD4 Especially with switching operations under higher load, such. in trailer operation or in performance-enhanced vehicles, enormous forces must be transmitted by the clutch. A common problem with the Defender's original clutch is the failure of the insufficiently sized torsion springs. The torsion springs, which are specially adapted to the Defender Td4, eliminate the familiar problems with clattering or jamming couplings. Another, but less common problem is the ingress of oil from the engine or transmission into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and occurs during driving by the resulting frictional heat repeatedly to the friction lining. Due to the reduced traction it comes in the episode to a higher heat development and vitrification of the coverings. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive!The organic coating used in this coupling can not absorb oil and therefore does not vitrify. It convinces with specially adapted friction modifiers with a soft response and enables a 100% adhesion. Of course, the pads are asbestos- and lead-free, free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds. Complete set consisting of automatic clutch, friction disc and release bearing. Nakatanenga CargoBear cross bars There’s only one real alternative for the full CargoBear roof rack: the CargoBear cross bars on their own! If you don’t need the entire cargo platform on your New Defender, because you carry only long work equipment or sports gear like surfboards, skis or kayaks, the cross bars alone will do the job perfectly. The same applies for roof tent campers. For the new 110 Landy this means that the standard setup consists of 3 cross beams for the entire length of the roof. The sturdy bars will give you a roof rack that is significantly more robust than any off-the-shelf rooftop carrier. The cross bars are available single or as sets of 2 or 3. They are 100% identical to the ones we sell in the CargoBear kits, i.e. they are 1,450 mm wide (1,300 mm usable) and 120 mm long. The aluminum bars feature stainless steel bases that connect to the standard roof rail via inserted sliding blocks (included). As with the complete CargoBear platform, the bars can be mounted on two height levels, 80 or 100 mm respectively. Choosing the higher level will ensure that your roof window retains its full functionality. The crossbars feature a very wear and tear resistant matte black RAL 9005 powder-coating. A great number of recessed lashing slots allow you to attach lashing rings, brackets, hooks, stud fittings etc. You can also attach your lashing straps directly, of course. The standard CargoBear accessories will also fit the various lashing and mounting points. Nakatanenga Spare Wheel Carrier Defender Pickup / Softtop, until MY2016 To preserve the original Defender look and to make room on the inside we adjusted our classic spare wheel carrier for the pic-up version of the defender (Attention: there is a separate version available for the classic hardtop). The carrier is independent from the rear gate, we eliminated any noise and made it from stainless steel. The carrier is thoroughly tested, e.g. on the "Grand Erg" Rally. It was designed to ease the installation while guaranteeing usability and resilience. In 2014 we further improved the design and started manufacturing entirely from stainless steel. The bearing does not require service, the entire carrier is corrosion resistant and can be removed just as easily as installed if needed. This wheel mount is compatible with the additional step and with the hitch from Land Rover, as well as our rear bumpers The carrier can easily be mounted yourself alternatively we also offer an installation service. Simply add the service flat rate to your cart and we'll contact you to confirm your appointment. The carrier does not swing open by itself, secondary unlocking to the gate is necessary. Highest load capacity This kit consists of two half shafts, two CV joints and two heavy-duty drive flanges. The Raptor Heavy Duty front shafts are made from SAE4340 Nickel Chromoly alloy steel, that provide the optimum level of strength and flex when heat-treated. They have the ability to twist without breaking as well as extremely high fatigue resistance, which enables the shafts to tolerate repeated shock loading. This ability to flex without breaking also helps protecting other drivetrain components. All shafts are 24 spline and primarily suited to post 1994 axles, although they can be fitted to earlier vehicles with additional work. The trunkliner is made of odorless plastic, extremely robust and extremely flexible. Anti-slip keeps dirt out even in off-road driving in the protective shell and the higher edge of dirt prevents leaking liquids spilling into the car interior. Normal residues can be removed with a damp cloth, for cleaning of coarse dirt simply remove the tub from the cart and spray it with the hose. If your Landy is not just a Chelsea tractor and regularly has to tow more than one kind of trailer, the odds are you will need an adjustable tow hitch. The first advantage over a static solution, of course, is the fact that you can adjust the height very easily just by moving slider and pin. Secondly, and more conveniently, you can also permanently mount several different tow systems to a number of slider plates. That means switching coupling types like tow ball, jaw or NATO is literally a matter of seconds. Pull the pin out, switch the slider plate, push the pin back in. Done. No screws, no nuts or bolts to fasten. The adjustable tow hitch is available for TD5/TD4 90, 110 and 110/130 high capacity pickup and comes as a complete assembly kit with the necessary chassis struts, the bracket for the rear cross member, mounts for electrics, slider frame, slider plate with tow ball, a choice of 7- or 13-pin electric coupling and all necessary fastening materials. Most importantly: the assembly kit is certified by an attached E-number (E11 for UK as country of origin) and that means the parts are road legal and you are not obliged to get additional certification or separate technical approval as may be required otherwise in your respective country.
