Nakatanenga Mudguard Stowage Box The Nakatanenga mudguard storage boxes for the Land Rover Defender 90 / 110 are very light thanks to the case construction used, yet robust - an ideal combination for any touring vehicle! In addition, there are very high-quality fittings with field-proven performance features and great flexibility in design. We offer the box in two lengths as standard. The short design (630 mm length) is intended for the right-hand side of the Defender. The long design (900 mm length) is used on the left-hand side. If an internal roll cage is fitted, a mudguard stowage box can still be fitted: no modification is necessary on the right side due to the tank connection, the short box is used on the left. If you need special lengths or already have other installations in the rear of the vehicle, please contact us - we can work out very flexible solutions for you! Dimensions:Length: either 630 or 900 mmTotal height: 450 mm (400 mm storage box, 50 mm lid)Depth: 225 mm (at the foot 340 mm)Weight: approx.11 kg The aluminium profiles, which allow rivet-free assembly and thus ensure an elegant appearance, are anodised, the corners are made of a robust grey plastic. The surfaces of the storage box are made of 6.9 mm thick birch plywood, a material that combines high robustness and low weight. It is made with a D4 adhesive which, according to DIN/EN204, is "suitable for indoor use with frequent and long-lasting exposure to run-off water or condensation". The wood is colour-coated with PVC and covered with a counterfoil. We currently offer the mudguard stowage box in four colour variants:     black    grey    slate grey    petrol Other colours are available on request - please enquire:     blue    sky blue    navy    night blue    red    bordeaux    orange    yellow    white    silver    aluminium stucco The hinges and latches come from the professional audio and studio sector and are designed for years of use under the toughest conditions. The butterfly latches keep the box securely closed without rattling, while sturdy uprights prevent the lid from folding shut - your fingers will thank you! An optional padlock can be fitted on request. Delivery includes mounting material. Existing screw holes on the vehicle are used for mounting, these must be drilled on the box. An adapter is supplied for wheel housings from model year 2007. This item is bulky goods.

Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD5 The clutch has to transmit enormous forces, especially when shifting gears under higher loads, e.g. in trailer operation or in vehicles with increased performance. A sometimes occurring problem in connection with the original clutch of the Defender is the penetration of oil from the engine or the gearbox into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and repeatedly comes into contact with the friction lining surface during driving due to the frictional heat generated. As a result of the reduced frictional engagement, the friction linings generate more heat and glaze. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive!The organic lining used in this clutch cannot absorb oil and therefore cannot vitrify. It convinces with specially adjusted friction modifiers with a soft response behaviour and enables a 100% frictional connection. It goes without saying that the pads are asbestos-free, lead-free and free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds.Note: We also recommend replacing the old clutch slave cylinder & clutch master cylinder -> Clutch slave cylinder / clutch master cylinderComplete set consisting of automatic clutch, friction disc and release bearing.

Performance Optimization and Speed Unlimiter for all Land Rover Td4 2.4 A well-balanced tuning for your Defender Td4 2.4 - model year 2007-2011, which gets dormant power reserves out of the Puma / TdCi engine without damaging it. In contrast to many others, this tuning does not focus on a maximum increase in power, but instead achieves an engine-friendly and at the same time clearly noticeable increase in horsepower and torque. By reprogramming the control unit, the factory maximum speed / VMax restriction is also completely removed at the same time, allowing the engine to develop its full power spectrum - this is useful for frequent motorway trips, for example. Optionally, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) can also be switched off - this improves the engine's pulling power. Please note that the EGR valve must not be dismantled, otherwise error codes will be generated. Our software-based deactivation, on the other hand, does not trigger such codes and can, of course, be retrofitted without leaving a trace - this applies to all tuning measures offered here. The configuration is done according to the customer's wishes - in case of special requirements: Just contact us! Galvanised frame for Defender and Discovery

Frame galvanised This is where it all starts with a real 4x4 in general and the (classic) Defender in particular: We’re talking about the ladder-frame chassis, of course. Everything else is open to discussion with most serious off-roaders, that one ain’t. If your older Defender Td4, Td5, Tdi or your Discovery II Td5 is bound for a chassis replacement due to corrosion or structural damage, we can now supply an EU-manufactured, galvanized frame. The manufacturer is a supplier for military Defenders and that’s why critical parts of the chassis are strengthened. More robust than the original, they weigh only slightly more. Overall, the chassis are manufactured to the original measurements and are therefore easy to fit. The frame’s high-quality galvanizing offers superb protection from corrosion and can also be painted to enhance protective qualities even further. It also improves the look of the vehicle and makes technical inspections go more smoothly, judging from experience. All you need before the paint job is an application of Etch Primer to create an adhesive layer between zinc and paint. Etch Primer is a highly adhesive one-component epoxy that can be used on all the usual automotive surface materials. It simply sprays on and is the ideal primer for all subsequent quality finishes. Galvanized standard chassis frames for 90 and 110 can be supplied from the shelf for Defender and Discovery models mentioned above. The Tdi chassis construction supports a Td5 rear crossmember.  This has the additional advantage that –  in contrast to the Tdi – new towing components are still available, including the height adjustable Dixon Bate system. Chassis for 130 pick-ups or custom models, even 6x6, can be ordered and will be manufactured individually and to spec. Just contact us for assistance, questions or special requests. If you require stamping your original chassis number into the frame, we can supply this service in our own workshop. Simply ask for details.

ROADspec TD5 Solid Mass Flywheel Kit LOF Clutches’ goal was to deliver the best Solid Mass Flywheel kit for Td5 Discovery and Defender. They have engineered this product with two specific objectives: first, to prevent the typical vibrations for Td5 and second, to guarantee long lasting service from clutch and flywheel. The ROADspec clutch is specifically designed for your daily road-going Land Rover Defender or Discovery Td5. If you do a bit of towing now and then, perhaps some light off-roading or just use your Landy as a commuter, then the ROADspec has everything you need to keep you going for years to come. It’ll even take mildly tuned motors that have a little more poke than standard! And by the way, the pedal weight is not heavier than the original. Dual mass flywheels are prone to overheating in tuned vehicles with remapped engines or when the clutch has to deal with a lot of heavy towing or extreme conditions. Replacing DMFs with solid mass flywheels will prevent thermal damage. LOF’s solid mass flywheels conform to the characteristics of the original flywheels but are much more reliable, durable and even cheaper than components by Valeo or LUK. Der Defender hat eine Seele, sagen viele. Vielleicht stimmt das, denn manchmal hat man wirklich diesen Eindruck. Er bringt einen überall hin, auch dorthin, wo andere längst aufgeben. Dafür braucht er Zuwendung, Werkzeug und Geduld. Er ruckelt, macht Geräusche und nimmt es mit Perfektion nicht so genau. Aber wer ihn kennt, weiß: genau das ist sein Charme. Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als an diesem Stück britischer Ingenieurskunst selbst zu schrauben oder, wenn's mit dem Schrauben hapert, wenigstens mit Fachwissen zu glänzen.

Von Stoßstange bis Schnorchel - das richtige Defender Zubehör für unterwegs

Wer einen Defender in ein Reisefahrzeug umbauen möchte, der braucht mehr als gute Laune und einen vollen Tank. Eine Seilwindenstoßstange, nicht, weil man sich selbst festgefahren hätte, nein, natürlich nur, um die anderen rauszuziehen. Wir empfehlen unsere Nakatanenga Seilwinden-Stoßstange für den Defender wahlweise im Bundle mit Seilwinden von Horntools oder Superwinch, optional mit oder ohne Fernscheinwerfer.

Aber es gibt auch Momente, da hilft kein Gebet, nur eine gute Bergung. Mit Bergeösen, Hecktraversen-Verstärkungen und Bergeboards bleibt man auch dann souverän, wenn der Boden meint, ein Abenteuer draus machen zu müssen. Alles robust, erprobt und bereit für den Ernstfall.

Wer längere Strecken abseits der Zivilisation plant, rüstet am besten gleich mit einem Zusatztank in 56 Liter oder 66 Liter auf, während der Defender-Unterfahrschutz dafür sorgt, dass spitze Steine, Wurzeln oder neugierige Felsen keine bleibenden Erinnerungen hinterlassen. Der Schnorchel für den Defender bzw. die erhöhte Luftansaugung ist natürlich Pflicht für alle, die in die Wüste wollen oder durchs Wasser müssen, wobei auch Hamburger Pfützen manchmal verdächtig tief aussehen können. Defender-Fahrwerk, Felgen und Reifen

Kein Abenteuer ohne ordentliches Fahrwerk. Ein Defender-Fahrwerk ist keine reine Geschmacksfrage, sondern hängt davon ab, wofür der Wagen eingesetzt wird. Egal ob 90er, 110er oder 130er: Es gibt Fahrwerke für jeden Zweck, vom Familien-Daily-Driver bis zum voll beladenen Fernreisemobil. Wer Kilometer frisst, sollte bequem sitzen. Sitzschienenverlängerungen, weil britische Ingenieure offenbar keine langen Beine kannten. Eine zweifarbige Innenraumleuchte, ein Ablagefach hinter der Cubbybox und natürlich der Hecktürdämpfer, der verhindert, dass einem die Tür ins Kreuz fällt, wenn der Wagen schräg steht.

Doppelbatterie-System, Elektrik und Licht - Strom, wo er gebraucht wird

Egal, ob Standheizung, Laptop, Kühlbox oder Handy: Auf Reisen braucht man Strom. Deshalb ist eine der ersten Umbauten, die ein Defender bekommt, oft ein Doppelbatterie-System. Unser Doppelbatterie-System für den Defender mit Edelstahlhalterung bietet Platz für zwei Banner 80Ah-Batterien, beinhaltet den Kabelsatz und ein Trennrelais auf Wunsch gibt es einen Batterie-Monitor dazu. Perfekt dazu passt das Solarpanel auf der Motorhaube passend für Td5 und Td4.

Im Bereich Beleuchtung reicht das Spektrum 7-Zoll-Scheinwerfern, LED-Signalleuchten bis zu Lightbars von Osram und Vision-X, dazu gibt es sogar noch einen passenden Lampenbügel.
