Wind Deflector ClimAir Land Rover Defender to MY 2016, Front Off-road vehicles are not designed for aerodynamically perfect airflow. So far, so obvious and normally it doesn’t matter anyway because in a 4x4 you’re unlikely to reach the speeds where it becomes problematic. And that’s when you see the effect we’ve talked about in the beginning. In the overhaul, the door-handles were updated, too. This complete door handle repair kit makes the replacement of broken or worn-out looking door handles in pre-2002 Defenders dead easy. This is rarely noticeable when driving, because you usually don't even get into the corresponding speed ranges. Kinetic mountain rope KERR If you are frequently recovering off-road vehicles stuck in mud, dirt or sand, kinetic recovery ropes are the ultimate solution. The decisive advantage these elastic synthetic ropes have over more rigid traditional straps or plastic ropes is their ability to store kinetic energy from the towing vehicle. This stored energy can build in the elastic rope and is then transferred continuously and smoothly to the trapped vehicle. Primarily, there are two positive effects when recovering cars or 4x4s with kinetic ropes. The rope’s elasticity compensates for sudden load peaks when the towing vehicle inadvertently jerks forward or transfers sudden jolts of force to the rope. This in turn means that the breaking strength of the rope won’t be tested as quickly and damages to vehicles or equipment are prevented. The second effect is that lighter vehicles can recover heavier ones, because the kinetic energy transferred from the towing vehicle can build in the rope until the resisting force is neutralized. The rope will stretch by an additional 30 to 35 %. The easiest method on both the rope and the vehicle recovery points is a slow and steady build-up of momentum until the rope snaps back and frees the trapped vehicle. Our rope allows for a safe temperature range from -70 to 99°C, which is highly superior to conventional ropes. Urethane-polymer coating makes our KINTO ropes highly water-, UV and abrasion-resistant. From a safety point of view, we would like to mention, though, that workload and breaking strength can be greatly reduced in damaged or overextended ropes. Plate for mounting a CB radio antenna on the air intake (RHD) This mounting plate ensures optimum mounting of a CB antenna on the air intake of the Land Rover Defender. For this purpose, the mounting plate is installed on the right-hand (as seen from the driver's seat) ventilation grille / air intake. For left-hand drive vehicles, you can find the mounting plate here in our shop. As the Defender is made of aluminium, unfortunately no magnetic antenna base will hold. We have therefore designed a plate made of sheet steel with a suitable opening for the cable. Hinges for Defender bonnet Nakatanenga bonnet hinges for Land Rover Defender (all models, all model years) address two problems associated with the original hinges: for one they are more durable and have no play, additionally they greatly complicate bonnet theft. We have put emphasis on ease of fitting - this can be done by yourself. There are no holes that need drilling as only existing ones are used, all fixings, icluding the special safety-socket are supplied. The hinges are available in stainless steel or with black powder coating, please choose the desired finish.

Hidden pocket for Defender seats - clever storage space for travelling & everyday life Everyone knows the bits and pieces lying around in the car that are not needed all the time, but still have to be close at hand. But where do you put it? The HIDDEN BAG storage compartment for the original seats of the Land Rover Defender is easily attached via four high-tensile Velcro and fleece surfaces under the driver or front passenger seat. The bag offers storage space for the 1000 little things of everyday life such as pens, screwdrivers, pliers, multitool, flashlight, batteries for a remote control, USB stick with workshop manual, spare glasses, air pressure tester, charging cable and much more. But even a small digicam, a GPS device or other valuables are quickly out of sight and accessible. The traveler may stow a second passport, unauthorized radio or copies of their travel documents. Efficient and robust folding pulley for safe and easy recovery You should have at least one quality snatch block pulley in your winching kit at all times. Most often, you will use it when there are no straight lines in which you can tow your vehicle, but in any case, the snatch block doubles the towing force. That means winching your trapped vehicle free becomes easier and the winch itself is put under less strain while doing so. Our new foldable Nakatanenga snatch block utilizes the familiar pulley principle, but in our development process we focused on the best choice of materials, on high-end production and on improving usually overlooked details. Snatch blocks have to be solid, light-weight, universally applicable, smooth-running and easy to clean. Our construction from exceptionally sturdy 6 mm galvanized steel and a 15 mm polymer reel suits any kind of winch line with a diameter of 8 – 13 mm: plastic, plasma or steel. The snatch block doesn’t need any maintenance or servicing other than cleaning it after use. Even when using it with steel cable, it doesn’t need to be lubricated. The choice of polymer synthetics for the reel makes it smooth-running with any choice of cable or rope. The workload of the block is 9000 lbs or over 4 t, the breaking load is 19.300 lbs or over 8.7 t. The compact, foldable design of the snatch block guarantees solidity, easy stowability and a low weight of only 2,30 kg – ensuring that it fits into any travel 4x4 or expedition vehicle that’s already stuffed to the roof. And finally, about the details: in contrast to many other snatch blocks, we have actually improved the metal side plates and the eyes. Both have folded, rounded edges that make them not only easier and safer to handle and less prone to shifting abruptly as the rope is tightening but first and foremost it prevents synthetic ropes from chafing or having fibers or strands damaged. Cubby Box Tray by Mud Stuff The Cubby Box in the average Landy is very often the masculine counterpart to women’s handbags. It’s reasonably large and practical, but after a while nobody really knows what’s hidden in its depths. But finally, there’s an end to all the rummaging and searching around. Mud Stuff are now presenting their Cubby Box Tray, a simple but efficient tray insert with two compartments. The Cubby Box Tray will fit any original Land Rover Cubby Box by simply inserting it right below the lid. The tray is held in place on the rim of the cubby box by an 8 mm lip. A dedicated recess for your hand makes it just as easy to remove it again. The insert separates the Cubby Box into two practical tiers: the tray on top holds important everyday items, everything else goes below. The tray’s two individual compartments measure 200 x 105 mm and their depth of 55 mm ensures sufficient space for all essentials like smartphone, keys, wallet, parking tokens, defrosting spray or chocolate bars. Soft touch layers on the bottom of the compartments make sure that nothing gets scratched. The Cubby Box Tray’s dimensions and recesses are designed for Land Rover originals. No matter which kind of board you’re going for, though, there’s always two questions to keep in mind, whether your tracks are made from metal, synthetics or rubber: For one, where are you keeping them, before and after deployment or in seasonal storage? And two, how do you keep your vehicle clean, if you chose to transport the tracks inside the trunk or cargo hold instead of an outside mount?
