Nakatanenga adapter for hitch-mounted racks for bikes and other sports gear Hitch-mounted racks for bikes and other sports gear are fantastic, if you are using your bikes only off and on or once a year on your annual holiday trip. No cumbersome attachment to the roof rails or the trunk needed: simply lock it onto your car’s standard ball hitch when you need to and hey presto off you go. Theoretically, that is, because for most 4x4 owners, the rear-mounted spare wheel will usually be in the way of a regular hitch-mounted bike rack. But that’s where Nakatanenga comes in.Our premium quick-release adapter extends your existing ball hitch by 25 cm, enough to reach beyond most spare wheels. The adapter locks onto the ball hitch quickly, securely and can also be padlocked. We advise to take careful measurements before ordering, so that you can be sure the 25 cm extension is sufficient for your individual set-up. Please also verify that you have enough space for the quick-release locking handle on the right side of the hitch. Your existing trailer hitch has to clear any obstructions like bumper indentations or the like for the handle to be operational. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need more information.With a maximum load of 120 kg, the hitch-mounted adapter is ideal for standard bike racks, cargo carriers, tubs, baskets etc. Since we sometimes receive enquiries regarding the validity of the maximum load, we would like to emphasize – as the manufacturer – that the specified load applies to the entire adapter and has been thoroughly tested and evaluated for stability and road safety. Separately available single components may differ in their capacity, this however does not affect the maximum load of the adapter as a unit. Nakatanenga spare wheel carrier Defender SW/HT
This full stainless steel spare wheel carrier for Defender SW/HT is the successor to our Defender spare wheel carrier RRHNAHI sold by the hundreds. It is available in two colours. The Defender rear door suffers from the heavy weight of the large spare wheel. Depending on use, after about five years or 50.000 kms the first cracks in the rear door frame appear. There are two solutions for this well-known problem: either move the spare wheel to the bonnet (see our bonnet spare wheel mount for that, not possible for post MY 2007 Defenders) or you fit our rear door spare wheel carrier. It takes off the complete weight from the rear door and opens along with the door. The carrier is fitted to the rear crossmember, a plate is mounted to the existing holes in the door, which is then attached to the carrier with two cranked stainless steel pivots. This carrier has been tested extensively, among others on the "Grand Erg" rallye and combines easy fitting with high toughness and exeptional usability. Available for all Defender models with rear door (Station and Hardtop). Improved design in 2014 and full stainless steel fabrication. The bearing is maintenance free, the complete carrier rustproof and can be completely revised it necessary. It's compatible with Land Rover rear step / bumper with towbar. So far, so obvious and normally it doesn’t matter anyway because in a 4x4 you’re unlikely to reach the speeds where it becomes problematic. Windscreen Bracket Kit for Land Rover Defender The original windscreen support brackets on the Defender are one of those details on the car that sooner or later cry out for cosmetic surgery. All kinds of corrosion – by exposure, metal contact, environmental or automotive chemicals – affect the parts and simply make them look shabby. The result is rust, peeling paint and streaking on the bodywork. Fortunately, replacing the brackets is one of the easiest jobs on the Landy. Our replacement brackets are available in two versions: black powder-coated or anodized aluminum. Both processes - anodizing and powder coating - ensure extremely resistant and durable sealing of the aluminum parts. During anodizing, electrolysis creates a porous surface structure, which is particularly suitable to absorb color pigments. In a last step, the anodizing is then compacted and thus sealed. However, black anodized aluminum tends to fade, which is why we have opted for powder coating for the deep black option. If you’re aiming for a look other than black or aluminum gray, you can of course paint it yourself or have it painted. You can also achieve your desired custom effect with our range of RAPTOR products. Or simply order the parts right here in the store with black powder coating from a professional for little extra cost. Suitable for all Land Rover Defenders 90/110/130. If independent vehicle heating is fitted, this will also always get enough clean air to work properly. Originally developed for the military Wolf-type Defenders, this military snow cover is also highly useful for civilian vehicles. The sturdy cover can be stepped on and is available for LHD and RHD vehicles. It can be fitted with or without chequer plate wingtop protection. Nakatanenga foldable door step
Climbing aid - Door step Access to the roof of a car is usually something for climbing professionals - especially from the side. This applies to expedition-ready 4x4s with CargoBear-style system carriers that can be climbed by ladder, and especially to SUVs with ski racks or family vans with roof boxes. Often the vehicles are simply too high or the drivers too small or unathletic to get safe and easy side access to the roof load. They try to find a foothold on the seats by groping with their feet while holding on tightly with one hand to avoid tipping over backwards. Or you climb onto boxes or makeshift ladders and let the passenger support you, but who always has ladders or a passenger with them? What fits into the car in any case is our convenient and safe climbing aid for hanging into the body-side locking brackets of the door locks. The ladder replacement is hooked into the catch eye of the latch with a simple, fold-out hook. The pressure of the rubberised rear edge of the step surface on the B- or C-pillar results in an absolutely safe climbing aid under load that does not wobble or slip. This way, you can reach every side of the car roof safely and quickly without much effort. The locking brackets of the car doors have to withstand forces that are many times the weight of the human body so that the door does not open in the event of an accident or attempted break-in. The ladder itself is made of an extremely solid aluminium alloy and is designed to withstand 200 kg. This means that even large and heavy contemporaries need not worry. However, the first use should be carried out with caution and care in order to get the necessary safety when climbing. And to ensure that the paintwork is not damaged, there is an additional rubber protector that can be attached to the edge of the step. By the way, if there is no more room for the foldable door step in the glove compartment or the centre shelf, you can leave the emergency hammer at home, because it has a steel tip at the front and thus also functions as a rescue tool for breaking windows. The original spray flap brackets are made of painted steel. Anyone who has been driving a Defender for a long time knows that every few years the brackets rust through, as the paintwork flakes off over time and dirt, oily deposits and constant moisture provide the perfect conditions for corrosion. Our own custom-fit splash guard brackets are not only made of stainless steel, but are also powder-coated black. This makes them extremely robust, corrosion-resistant and durable. Universal storage space set for the spare wheel The high school of storage space optimization really only begins when all the obvious places like the interior or trunk or the roof have long since ceased to offer anything. With our practical and universally applicable spare wheel tray, even the fifth wheel on the car becomes an equipment carrier. The practical storage solution for the spare wheel at the rear consists of two components that can be ordered individually (here in the store) or as a set. The base carrier with the tensioning strap is adjustable and thus fits all common off-road tire sizes. If one mounts only the basic carrier (sideways), so e.g. starting aids, wheel chocks and other accessories can be screwed to the carrier or attached with straps. If you want to mount the tray, i.e. the basket, the base carrier must be on top of the wheel. The loading area of the storage basket is a generous 80cm x 38cm, so that even larger equipment can find its place here. If this area is not enough, you can also turn the platform around and attach with the edge down. Raised edges and circumferential lashing holes ensure problem-free load security. Base carrier and storage basket are black powder-coated, so that the look of the spare wheel tray harmonizes perfectly with any off-roader. Base carrier: approx. Mounting kit for all CargoBear system roof racks
The stainless steel mounting kit Is for mounting various brackets on the CargoBear system roof rack or on the Cargobear crossbar - e.g. the CargoBear quick mounting frame is attached with this mounting kit (the mounting kit is already included with the quick mounting frame). The kit consists of 4 stainless steel sliding blocks with matching M8 stainless steel screws. The long screw makes installation easier, as the sliding block can be easily positioned with it (see 2nd and 3rd picture). Nakatanenga screwable adapter for bicycle carrier for ball head coupling
Hitch-mounted racks for bikes and other sports gear are fantastic, if you are using your bikes only off and on or once a year on your annual holiday trip. No cumbersome attachment to the roof rails or the trunk needed: simply lock it onto your car’s standard ball hitch when you need to and hey presto, off you go. Theoretically, that is, because for most 4x4 owners, the rear-mounted spare wheel will usually be in the way of a regular hitch-mounted bike rack. But that’s where Nakatanenga comes in.As an alternative to our lever operated quick-release adapter, we also provide an adapter that can be screwed onto the existing ball hitch. The extension you gain is the same as with the other adapter: 25 cm to the back. It will take a little bit longer to attach or detach the screw-on version, of course, but it has the big advantage that there’s no lever in the way if you have little space around your trailer hitch. You also don’t have to secure it with a padlock since there’s hardly any worry about theft en route. So, if the quick-release adaptor is not for you because you want to mount a smaller or permanent adapter, this screw-on solution is the one for you. With a maximum load of 120 kg, the hitch-mounted adapter is ideal for standard bike racks, cargo carriers, tubs, baskets etc. Please check the individual road safety regulations and legal requirements for your country when mounting the adapter. CAUTION!For technical and legal reasons, the use of the adapter with a trailer is PROHIBITED. TREKFINDER fender extension kit Land Rover Defender 20mm, 150cm long
Whether you’re going for a more muscular look or just better off-road performance, there are many good reasons to widen your Defender’s stance. You can go for fat MT tires or you can widen the track with wheel spacers or negative offset rims to achieve the desired effect. But keep in mind that your wheel covers may no longer be sufficient for your country’s road regulations and that in turn could affect your 4x4’s road legality. Apart from costly surprises in traffic stops, you also want to avoid potentially dangerous water and mud spray or debris being catapulted from exposed wheels. And then there’s also that slightly unbalanced look… At Nakatanenga, we thought there’s got to be a better solution than what’s out there and that’s why we teamed up with the experts at TREKFINDER to give you a functional, easily attached and exclusive solution to extend your existing original wheel arch guards. The result is a discrete self-adhesive rubber extension strip that widens the original Land Rover wheel arch guard by another 20 mm, simply by sticking it onto the original part. There’s no need to remove the original parts, drill new screw holes etc. The new guard’s protruding adhesive lip fits perfectly onto the original part and makes it very easy to position the 1.5 m extension perfectly. This should also work with identical after-market parts by Britpart et al, but with non-original parts we are unable to provide a warranty, of course. With a little experience and some planning, though, you can easily adjust the strips’ required length or their radius with a boxcutter and some sanding paper. Again, alterations are not covered by our product warranties. And last but not least, since our wheel arch extensions are self-adhesive, they are just as easily removed as they are mounted.
