Wind deflector from ClimAir for G-Class Off-road vehicles are not designed for aerodynamically perfect airflow. So far, so obvious and normally it doesn’t matter anyway because in a 4x4 you’re unlikely to reach the speeds where it becomes problematic. But there is one aspect where the rustic box shape of G-Class does show the effects of aerodynamic neglect and that’s the nearly rectangular shape and the straight and vertical positioning of the windows. There’s more than one reason in a 4x4 to crack your windows a little, whether you’re off-roading or it’s cold and wet. Your classic G-Class windows for instance are misting up because the ventilation famously isn’t up to the job of defogging them. And that’s when you see the effect we’ve talked about in the beginning. The drag around the cracked windows is not only loud, it also pulls more dust and water inwards and that’s pretty annoying, even for hardcore off-roaders. Dixon Bate adapter for Bikeracks and Game Tubs
Transport bikes safely with Dixon-Bate: the right adapter Whoever has tried to attach a bike rack to the hitch of their Defender knows this problem: the spare tire is in the way! This is where this adapter comes in. It attaches to the usual Dixon-Bate rail and thus moves the mounting spot about 30 cm further back, clearing most spare tires. Contents of shipment: Adapter for Dixon-Bate (30 cm) 1x Ball head for mounting the rack or tub 1x safety pin for the hitch hardware Two safety pins are required for the correct instalment of this adapter, one comes with the hitch itself and the other with this adapter. This is rarely noticeable when driving, because you usually don't even get into the corresponding speed ranges. However, there is one aspect where the Defender's rustic box shape very quickly reveals annoying disadvantages and that is the almost rectangular and fairly vertical windows. Especially when driving off-road or in cold and wet conditions, for example when the ventilation in the Landy is weak and the windows mist up, you're glad if you can roll the windows down a little. However, the effect described at the beginning of this article soon becomes apparent. The strong turbulence on the angular windows is not only loud, but also draws even more dust and water into the car. This annoys even the most hardened off-roaders. Plate for mounting a CB radio antenna on the air intake (RHD) This mounting plate ensures optimum mounting of a CB antenna on the air intake of the Land Rover Defender. For this purpose, the mounting plate is installed on the right-hand (as seen from the driver's seat) ventilation grille / air intake.
