Basic carrier spare wheel tray - color: black
Universal base carrier and expandable platform for the spare wheel. The high school of storage space optimization actually only begins when all the obvious places like the interior or trunk or the roof have long since ceased to offer anything. With our practical and universally applicable spare wheel tray, even the fifth wheel on the car becomes an equipment carrier.The practical storage solution for the spare wheel at the rear consists of two components that can be ordered individually or as a set (here in the store). The base carrier with the tensioning strap is adjustable and thus fits all common off-road tire sizes. If one mounts only the basic carrier (sideways), so e.g. starting aids, wheel chocks and other accessories can be screwed to the carrier or fastened with straps. If you want to mount the tray, i.e. the basket, the base carrier must be on top of the wheel. The loading area of the storage basket is a generous 80cm x 38cm, so that even larger equipment can find its place here. If this area is not enough, you can also turn the platform around and attach with the edge down. Raised edges and circumferential lashing holes ensure problem-free load security.Base carrier and storage basket are black powder-coated, so that the look of the spare wheel tray harmonizes perfectly with any off-roader. Base carrier: approx. W 38.8cm x D 20cm x H 15.5cmLoading area: approx. W 80cm x D 38cm x H 5cm Note: Distribute the load centrally or evenly on the platform. No cumbersome attachment to the roof rails or the trunk needed: simply lock it onto your car’s standard ball hitch when you need to and hey presto off you go. Theoretically, that is, because for most 4x4 owners, the rear-mounted spare wheel will usually be in the way of a regular hitch-mounted bike rack. But that’s where Nakatanenga comes in.Our premium quick-release adapter extends your existing ball hitch by 25 cm, enough to reach beyond most spare wheels. The adapter locks onto the ball hitch quickly, securely and can also be padlocked. We advise to take careful measurements before ordering, so that you can be sure the 25 cm extension is sufficient for your individual set-up. Please also verify that you have enough space for the quick-release locking handle on the right side of the hitch. This is where this adapter comes in. It attaches to the usual Dixon-Bate rail and thus moves the mounting spot about 30 cm further back, clearing most spare tires. Contents of shipment: Adapter for Dixon-Bate (30 cm) 1x Ball head for mounting the rack or tub 1x safety pin for the hitch hardware Two safety pins are required for the correct instalment of this adapter, one comes with the hitch itself and the other with this adapter. Windscreen Bracket Kit for Land Rover Defender The original windscreen support brackets on the Defender are one of those details on the car that sooner or later cry out for cosmetic surgery. All kinds of corrosion – by exposure, metal contact, environmental or automotive chemicals – affect the parts and simply make them look shabby. The result is rust, peeling paint and streaking on the bodywork. Fortunately, replacing the brackets is one of the easiest jobs on the Landy. Our replacement brackets are available in two versions: black powder-coated or anodized aluminum. Both processes - anodizing and powder coating - ensure extremely resistant and durable sealing of the aluminum parts. During anodizing, electrolysis creates a porous surface structure, which is particularly suitable to absorb color pigments. In a last step, the anodizing is then compacted and thus sealed. However, black anodized aluminum tends to fade, which is why we have opted for powder coating for the deep black option. If you’re aiming for a look other than black or aluminum gray, you can of course paint it yourself or have it painted. You can also achieve your desired custom effect with our range of RAPTOR products. Or simply order the parts right here in the store with black powder coating from a professional for little extra cost. Suitable for all Land Rover Defenders 90/110/130.
