Especially with heavy vehicles or those that are often heavily used off-road, the ball joint often fails. Play in the steering and thus more unstable driving behaviour are the result. Until now, the steering column lever / bell crank / steering arm had to be removed, especially on older vehicles this was often only possible with great effort. With this tool, only the ball joint is removed and a new one (from the repair kit RBG000010) is inserted.

The plates have a folding mechanism in the middle that allows for vertical positioning in the open window. Improved braking performance & durability After having been proven and tested for many years, stainless steel brake hoses are now becoming accepted in the off-road scene. The advantages the steel braided PTFE hoses have over customary rubber brake hoses are manifold: no expansion of brake lines under braking no expansion due to hot brake fluid under frequent braking very precise brake response no loss of braking power, resulting in shorter stopping distance precise modulation of braking power improved protection from damage through stones, branches, etc., especially important when off-road driving individually tested by manufacturer at 400 bar pressure New and only at Nakatanenga: these steel braided hoses for Land Rover Defender come with a special mount and fastening material to ensure safe mounting of the brake lines to the rear axle. This in-house developed mounting is made from stainless steel and thus also corrosion free. Our brake lines are 50 mm longer than the original hoses and thus suitable for larger axle travel, e.g. for lifted vehicles. They are sufficient for vehicle lifting kits upt to 90 mm. If you require different lengths, please contact us. These brake lines come with a TUV certificate of approval. In Germany such changes to the brake lines have to be TUV registered for your vehicle. We recommend to check brake fluid level and if necessary a replacement of the brake fluid. The hydraulic system has to be bled after fitting new brake lines. Any work on the braking system should always be carried out by a trained mechanic! Seat pad Land Rover Defender Many Landy critics bemoan the seat position in the Defender, the missing elbow room and the spartan original Land Rover seats. But that’s doing a disservice to the furniture from Solihull, especially the improved versions that were introduced in 2007. Even taller drivers, with seat rail extensions installed, can do mile after mile without problems for back and behind. So, if you’re restoring an old Defender or you put too much mileage on yours, it’s worth considering to refurbish the old seats instead of putting brand new ones in. As long as the seat covers are fine and only the foam cores have disintegrated, an upgrade with new seat foams can make a huge difference. This is classic DIY and pretty easy to do with our replacement foams for backrests and seat cushions. Simply remove the whole seat, take the backrest and seat cushion out, remove the covers and rip the old foam off the frame. The new foam cores can be fixed to the frame with standard spray adhesives. Then reverse the process and enjoy your firm new seats. The seat fits all Defender standard outer front seats up to 2016, the backrest for 2007 - 2016. Not suitable for special models.

Unlike PVC, Nylon PU (Polyurethane) is free of harmful phthalate-based plasticizers. Low molecular weight phthalates were, until recently, the most common plasticizers for all types of plastics and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and, due to their molecular structure, are suspected of acting like the body's own hormones. This is highly questionable from a toxicological point of view and is considered a trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it is therefore a matter of course to exclusively use ecologically and health-wise harmless alternatives such as Nylon PU for coating textile products.

Always ready to quickly accommodate widely diverse tasks, a MOLLE-compatible storage system has the additional advantage that it’s never in the way, like chests, boxes or drawers so often are.To provide a great solution for your flexible storage needs, we have developed a perfectly fitting system of interior window grills made from powder-coated aluminum for Defenders 90 SW and 110 SW up to MY 2016. Using the included fastening materials, the grills are simply screwed into the interior trim of the cargo area windows and thereby function as an equally lightweight and sturdy MOLLE grid. MOLLE (MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system of bags, pouches, holders, holsters and all kinds of straps and other fasteners that can be tied or clipped into webbings or grids – in this case the window grill – ultimately creating a very flexible, lightweight and secure carrying system for all kinds of gear. License plate holder for NAWIBU winch bumper Our heavy duty Nakatanenga winching bumper for classic Defenders is the perfect mounting solution for winches. The entire winching unit stays well protected behind the bumper and the winching cable runs smoothly through the integrated winch window in the middle of the bumper. Normally, this is where the license plate is positioned and that brings us to the problem and our simultaneously elegant and quick solution. Our custom made number plate holder is simply screwed into the fastening holes of the winching window, making it possible to mount the number plate more or less in its usual position. The winch’s functionality is in no way restricted or impeded, of course. The number plate holder is made from aluminum and features a matte black powder coating (RAL9005) which perfectly matches the look of the winching bumper.
