POWERslave for Td5 Discovery and Defender Heavy clutches with high pedal weight are a known phenomenon especially in Td5 Defenders (1998-2006) but also in many Td5 Discovery models (1998-2004).  But there’s a simple and cost-effective solution for anyone experiencing problems with the heavy pedal. Installing a POWERslave slave cylinder will reduce the pedal weight by up to 30% in comparison to the original set-up. Please note: the POWERslave cylinder lowers the biting point of the clutch. On Defenders, the biting point can be adjusted in the pedal box. On Discovery 2 models, where the pedal box is not adjustable, we recommend installing the slave cylinder only after the clutch is worn in after a few thousand miles. LOF does not recommend the installation: for newly installed clutches in combination with the LOF Power master cylinder

Off-road vehicles are not designed for aerodynamically perfect airflow. So far, so obvious and normally it doesn’t matter anyway because in a 4x4 you’re unlikely to reach the speeds where it becomes problematic. But there is one aspect where the rustic box shape of Jimny II does show the effects of aerodynamic neglect and that’s the nearly rectangular shape and the straight and vertical positioning of the windows. There’s more than one reason in a 4x4 to crack your windows a little, whether you’re off-roading or it’s cold and wet. Your classic Defender’s to MY 2016 windows for instance are misting up because the ventilation famously isn’t up to the job of defogging them. And that’s when you see the effect we’ve talked about in the beginning. The drag around the cracked windows is not only loud, it also pulls more dust and water inwards and that’s pretty annoying, even for hardcore off-roaders. Greasable track rod ends for all Land Rover Defender Greasable track rod ends for original track rod of Land Rover Defender 90/110/130.  The set comprises three track rod ends, two with right-hand thread and one with left-hand thread, which can be greased with a grease gun. In contrast to the non-greasable OEM track rod ends, these suffer from much less wear and thus last much longer.

Repair kit shift linkage / transfer case The transfer box on a Defender not only transmits the power from the engine two both axles, it also houses the middle diff lock as well as the reduction gearbox. The linkage connecting the transfer box to the low ratio/diff lock stick is naturally prone to heavy wear and tear. The repair kits give you the option to completely replace all worn bushes, bolts and the hexagon screw in the linkage. Nut, washers and SL retaining clips for the bolts are all included. The six solid spokes immediately emphasize what the TX-1 is all about and what off-roaders and overlanders want to have above all: performance. The rims are highly robust, easy to clean and therefore extremely durable. And that leads us to the next point: unfortunately, the TX-1 has been discontinued quite a while ago but if you’ve still mounted a set on your Defender, you’re most likely to hold on tight to your reliable mates from Down Under.
