Electronic blower control for Land Rover Defender
Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. The retrofit kit includes the electronic control, a stepless slider and all the assembly parts for the connections. Installation instructions are included.

Adapter for hot air ducts
End piece for warm air hose WALUFLEX Our 60 mm Flexi pipes for parking heaters are the perfect solution for transporting warmth and cosiness from A to B, whereby B can be one of our roof tents, a cold mountain hut or whatever else needs to be heated off-grid. The warm air pipes can be cut to any length and to ensure that the pipe ends are cleanly sealed or can be easily and airtightly extended, we have a silicone adapter for easy ratcheting. The adapter is the icing on the cake for our hot air ducts. It might work without, but it's definitely better with. For one thing, it is safer for people, equipment or cars because the edges, fringes and wire ends of the cut pipe disappear under the silicone cover and therefore have no chance of scratching, pricking or tearing. It is also very practical: one end of the silicone adapter is semi-permanently attached to the cut-off pipe with one of the cable ties supplied. The other end of the adapter can then be tightened to a connection or extension as required using the ratchet clamp (ideal for our parking heaters). Without the ratchet, the silicone adapter, which only makes the pipe 5 mm thicker, is a perfect and aesthetically pleasing end sleeve. After all, the eye camps with you and who wants to look at fraying pipe ends.

Control element for Planar Autoterm air parking heater 12V 2D and 4D Comfort is when you don’t have to worry about life’s basics and feeling warm and cozy is definitely one of them, especially when camping, on a weekend trip or a 4x4 adventure. And since there is always too much on everyone’s to do list anyway, it’s a great relief when there’s at least one job you never have to worry about before you hit the sleeping bag or your bunk. That’s where the Comfort Control remote for Autoterm/Planar Diesel air heaters 2D and 4D comes in. Completely redesigned and greatly improved when compared to its predecessor, the Comfort Control activates and deactivates your heater based on timer and/or thermostat settings. Choose from three timer modes for recurring heating intervals, a power mode for constant output, ventilation-only modes e.g. for reducing air humidity inside your camper and last but not least the new thermostat mode. The latter was added due to popular request and allows for setting and maintaining comfortable temperatures by individual degrees centigrade. No more nights in the camper when it’s constantly either too cold or too hot. The new design is also much more comfortable and ergonomic. The OLED display, the multifunctional, non-slip rotary dial as well as two push buttons make selecting and setting the desired functions really easy. Navigating the menus is intuitive and straightforward and basic functions can be accessed directly with a shortcut button. Despite a bigger display and more functions, the Comfort Control is actually smaller in size than its predecessor. With dimension of only 82 x 37 x 19 mm, you can hide it easily but you don’t have to because the new design is a lot more stylish and will make a nice feature in any camper. Concern for space is one thing in camping mobiles, the usage of electricity is another. In that respect, the remote control has also improved by minimizing its own power consumption. Moreover, the Comfort Control is capable of monitoring the voltage, effectively eliminating the danger of the heater deep discharging the battery. Another great feature is an alert function reminding you when to burn off soot deposits in the combustion chamber. Connecting the Comfort Control remote is as easy as plug & play.

Planar 2D Auxiliary Vehicle Heater We offer the Planar 2D auxiliary vehicle heater as a well-priced, powerful alternative to our Webasto auxiliary vehicle heater kits. With their compact size and a heater output of 1.8 kW, the Planar 2D is well-suited for fitting to smaller vehicles, vans, off-roaders, camper vans, boats or in confined spaces. It is ideal for 'typical' off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G oder Jeep Wrangler JK. The extensive fitting kit that is supplied with each heater make fitting easy. The Planar 2D can be easily controlled via its analogous control unit, with 8 settings available from 0,8 - 1,8 kW heat output. Available as both, 12 volts or 24 volts, this heater is European market approved (ECE label) and can thus be fitted independet of TUV approval. The parking heater has approval for the European market (ECE test mark) and can therefore be installed without registration. This reduces or prevents shooting of the combustion chamber when the atmospheric oxygen content drops. The max. Heating power drops in proportion to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly one can say: From 2.000 meters the loss of power per 500 m height is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3.440 m were no problem. No difficulties are to be expected up to 4.000 m. The software itself calculates up to 5.000 m - however, this has not yet been tested in real height. Hose bag for perfect storage If you’re travelling a lot with gear and equipment, whether it’s camping, expeditions or simply for your business or job, you just know how quickly things deteriorate when your stuff doesn’t have its proper place. That’s why our mobile Diesel heaters are so great. Everything you need in one box! With one exception, though: the WALUFLEX pipe for warm air transport from the heater is too big for that. But that doesn’t mean you have to pack the tubing in plastic bags or carry it as it is. Our textile workshop has now come up with a dedicated storage bag with carrying straps especially for the WALUFLEX pipe. Made from robust and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon material, the pack bag stores and protects the warm air tube. Moreover, it also saves a lot of valuable pack space. Tubes of up to 3 m length can be secured in the bag with two separate straps. Zip it up, job done! By the way, we have also sewn a patch of MOLLE fleece onto the front of the bag. That makes it very easy to identify the WALUFLEX bag with badges, labels etc. Ready to go! You can order the carrying bag by itself or including a WALUFLEX tube (3 m) with end collars.

The AUTOTERM (=Planar) 2D12 is equipped with an altitude kit.This means that the heater automatically reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heat output decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly speaking, from 2,000 metres the loss of output per 500 m altitude is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3,440 m were trouble-free. Up to 4,000 m no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not yet be tested at real altitude. Important:Especially when used at high altitude, the free travel of the fan is extremely important!Route the combustion air intake and exhaust extremely short and with low resistance - i.e. no kinks, no blockage or reduction. It should also be noted that operation beyond 3,000 m is still a technical compromise. Again, care should be taken to ensure that the combustion chamber is properly heated on a regular basis. The chamber must be burnt free of soot deposits. Soot deposits can also form on heaters that are permanently operated at the lowest setting. Therefore, the following still applies: No guarantee for sooty combustion chambers!In order to ensure the longevity of the heater, you should also free-burn it occasionally at low levels. The combustion chamber reaches full temperature after running at full load for about half an hour. Normally, no further maintenance is required. In case of extreme loads, e.g. during longer overnight stays at more than 4,000 m, the combustion chamber including the seal set should be cleaned if necessary. tank-mounted fuel intake pipe
Tank-mounted fuel intake pipe The 60 cm tank-mounted fuel intake pipe is perfect for our diesel heaters by Autoterm, but will also suit most other products like Webasto or Eberspächer. It will work with both diesel and gasoline on either air or water heated systems and it doesn’t matter whether your tank is plastic or metal. To fit the intake pipe, it is generally necessary to remove the fuel tank and its fittings. After drilling a hole for the intake pipe, the connector head has to be countered with a nut from the inside. That’s why access to the tank’s interior through the intake opening is a must. The flexible riser pipe can be bent into any shape, making it easy to determine the extraction level for the heater. Make sure that the opening of the pipe doesn’t reach all the way to the bottom of the tank, otherwise you’ll risk complete emptying of your fuel tank and the unwanted intake of dirt particles or tank sludge. The tank extraction is ideally suited for our Planar parking heaters.
