Autoterm Push Control S and L The Autoterm Push Control is a compact and easy-to-use switch for controlling Autoterm parking heaters. It enables different operating modes and functions depending on the heater. It also fulfils a long-held customer wish to be able to connect two control units to one heater - so the heater can be started conveniently from the driver's cab, for example, while the standard control unit is installed in the living area. NEW: The Autoterm Push Control enables simple control of air and water level heaters and, for the first time, the option of connecting two control panels to one heater! FunctionsOperating modes for air heatersPower mode (standard mode): With a single or multiple click, you can choose between five fixed power levels. The colour of the LED ring indicates which power level the heater is currently inTemperature mode: In conjunction with an external temperature sensor, a temperature of 18, 21 or 25 degrees can be achieved and maintained. "Maximum power" can also be set as the highest level in temperature mode. Operating modes for water level heatersPreheating mode: The heater runs until a certain coolant temperature is reached, then switches off the burner and restarts when the temperature drops. Here you can choose between a heating time limited to two hours or continuous operation. Warm shower kit 2.0 - Autoterm parking heater + combiBOIL with Comfort Boiler Control The original from tigerexped - but now even better! The Warm Shower Kit is the simple way to equip touring vehicles or boats & yachts with a hot air heater and hot water at the same time. In contrast to technically complex combination devices, the kit consisting of two individual devices is less expensive and, above all, less prone to complete failure. And if necessary, it can even be repaired while traveling. The strength of the Warmduscher kit is that it is simple and the two main elements (heater and boiler) function separately. Defects in one component do not automatically affect the other. A defect in the boiler is unlikely due to the high quality of materials and workmanship with high pressure resistance - however, should damage occur for whatever reason, the heater will continue to run completely unimpressed and that is a good thing. Because not being able to take a hot shower is one thing - spending the night in a completely chilled vehicle at perhaps -20 degrees is another. The Warm Shower Kit 2.0 is therefore a system that is simple to set up and easy to install. It is therefore perfect for DIY enthusiasts, but of course also for professional manufacturers who want to offer their customers a low-maintenance, trouble-free solution for their trips. How does the Warm Shower Kit 2.0 work:The Warm Shower Kit 2.0 can generate hot water in three different ways: Via an electric heating element, which means via electricity if you have just enough reserves, or are connected to shore power.Simply on the side when the heating is running - without consuming any additional energy. Hot water is the "waste product", so to speak.NEW: The boiler can be integrated into the engine's cooling water circuit to heat either the service water itself or a second water loop. Conversely, the engine can also be preheated to make starting more gentle (not suitable for use in arctic temperature ranges).Each of these three options has its advantages and can be used when it suits best. After a few days of self-sufficient camping in hot weather, for example, you don't want to leave the heating on, nor do you want to heat up the water from driving. However, if it is too warm for the heating, there is probably enough solar power in the batteries to generate hot water via the electric heating element. With the combination of three options, this kit always offers the one that fits perfectly in every situation. The options for integration into the cooling water circuit are as follows: Cooling water circuit heats the service water, i.e. the cooling water circuit is connected to the boiler and heats service water for showers etc. while driving. (Caution: As the temperature of the cooling water can rise above 100°C (due to pressure), the boiler must be prevented from overheating by means of a valve or by switching off the circulation pump).The boiler preheats the cooling water circuit (engine), which means that the above function is reversed. The engine cooling circuit can be preheated by connecting the boiler to a 230V/110V power source or by using hot air from the parking heater.Heating a second water loop, whereby the energy that is fed into the boiler via the electric heating element or hot air is fed into a second water circuit via a circulation pump. It is also possible to combine the two water circuits (so that the cooling water circuit heats the second water loop), although precautions must be taken with regard to the flow temperature from the motor. NEW: Integration of a second water loopWith combiBOIL it is possible to operate a second water loop with hot water. For example, underfloor heating or towel radiators can be implemented to make it easier to dry wet clothes and towels in the vehicle. Please note that an expansion tank must be integrated into the water loop and, depending on the application, the water may need to be circulated by a circulation pump. Scope of delivery:The heaterThe diesel parking heaters from Autoterm - shown here in the Air 2D and Air 4D models - have become an integral part of modern motorhomes, boats and yachts. The robust heaters from the Latvian manufacturer have been impressing with their reliability and quality for many years and enjoy an excellent reputation in the industry.Important for self-installers: You can install the heater yourself - without losing the manufacturer's warranty, of course, as long as you follow the enclosed installation instructions from Autoterm. In the event of damage, the inspection is carried out by the seller and the complaint is made directly to Autoterm.The heaters carry an e-mark, which means that the installation does not have to be registered by the TÜV.Please refer to the respective product description of the Autoterm Air 2D and Air 4D models to find out about functions and features such as heating modes, height kit and more. The heaters used in our hot shower kits are identical to those sold separately.The boiler - tigerexped & Autoterm combiBOILThe new combiBOIL hot water boiler is a high-quality product made in Western Europe - and the only boiler for use with an air heater that has an integrated thermostat in the versions with 230 / 110 V heating rods.In the versions for 12 V or 24 V, an external thermostat module is included for space reasons.Fully integrated systemThe combiBOIL can be monitored and controlled directly via the control panel of your Autoterm heater. The heater can thus automatically regulate the temperature of the boiler - a manually operated control flap to divert the hot air is therefore unnecessary in most cases. Dangerous overheating with vapour formation in the boiler is reliably prevented.Only in extreme conditions - such as arctic temperatures in poorly insulated vehicles - can a control flap still be useful.Automatic frost protection can also be set: If the water temperature drops to 2 °C, the heater automatically warms the water to 15 °C and the ambient air to 7 °C.For winter storage, the water should be drained as usual; the boiler has its own drain valve for this purpose. Formerly known as the Planar 2D, the Autoterm Air 2D is one of the most popular diesel parking heaters for campers, motorhomes, boats and expedition vehicles. Robust, reliable and safe - with extremely low fuel and power consumption - it is perfect for anyone who needs reliable heat on the road. Manufactured in Latvia, it is completely “Made in Europe”. High quality, high flexibility and perfect for DIY installation. Thanks to its compact design and various operating elements, the Autoterm Air 2D is suitable for almost any touring vehicle - from panel vans to expedition trucks. It can also be used on the water. Thanks to the E-mark, it can be installed without registration - without TÜV approval and without loss of warranty if you install it yourself. It is available for 12V for most campers and vans. The heater is available with two different hot air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations. 1. with straight outlet (can be found here): Please note that the warm air must be directed away from the heater in as straight a line as possible. The hot air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar bends directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons. 2. with 90° angle: Here, the hot air is discharged from the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed facing upwards or to the side. When installing this version in particular, it is important to realize straight piping from the heating outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m.Important: Even if the heaters are completely identical: If you use the straight version of the warm air pipe to create an angled outlet as with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation with regard to the routing of the hot air pipe before ordering so that you know immediately whether the straight or the angled outlet is more suitable for your installation! High-altitude kit as standard - ready for any adventure Whether in Nepal or the Andes: The Air 2D is equipped with an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the combustion to the change in air pressure. This means it runs reliably even at high altitudes. Nevertheless important: At very high altitudes, the amount of oxygen decreases - and with it the maximum output of the heater. As a rule of thumb: from an altitude of approx. 2000 m, the heater loses approx. 5 % output per 500 meters of altitude. And: the higher the altitude, the more sensitive the heater is to resistance in the air flow. Therefore, especially for operation at high altitudes, use the shortest and simplest possible air ducting and above all avoid angles and kinks! You can also simply remove the pipework completely for this time. Maintenance: Don't forget to burn off Like any diesel engine, a diesel parking heater needs to reach a certain temperature from time to time to get rid of deposits. Therefore, when you leave the mountains, let it run at full load for an hour. The same applies if it is permanently operated at a low level. This is comparable to a proper highway trip to maintain a diesel car. Control and operating elements A control panel is included with the heater (simply select the appropriate one above). Use with other heatersIt is not absolutely necessary to use an Autoterm heater to operate the combiBOIL hot water boiler. The hot air flow for hot water production can also be generated by other heaters.In this case, however, the integration of temperature measurement and the corresponding safety functions must be dispensed with, as the use of the Autoterm control panel requires connection to a corresponding heater. This means that the heater automatically reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heat output decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly speaking, from 2,000 metres the loss of output per 500 m altitude is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3,440 m were trouble-free. Up to 4,000 m no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not yet be tested at real altitude. Important:Especially when used at high altitude, the free travel of the fan is extremely important!Route the combustion air intake and exhaust extremely short and with low resistance - i.e. no kinks, no blockage or reduction. It should also be noted that operation beyond 3,000 m is still a technical compromise. Again, care should be taken to ensure that the combustion chamber is properly heated on a regular basis. The chamber must be burnt free of soot deposits. Soot deposits can also form on heaters that are permanently run at the lowest setting. Therefore, the following still applies: No guarantee for sooty combustion chambers! In order to ensure the longevity of the heater, you should also free-burn it occasionally at low levels. The combustion chamber reaches full temperature after running at full load for about half an hour. Normally, no further maintenance is required. In case of extreme loads, e.g. during longer overnight stays at more than 4,000 m, the combustion chamber including the seal set should be cleaned if necessary. The mounting location corresponds to the factory-fitted air heater (passenger side between sill and longitudinal member). The holder is made of stainless steel and offers individually bendable mounting lugs for intake and exhaust silencers or similar. Only rivet nuts are required for installation, as there may not be any holes with threads in the carrier ex works.Optional: On the 4th and 5th photo you can see that the bracket can be combined with the stainless steel installation box (marked with blue lines) for the AUTOTERM 2D parking heater.
