Cargo net for the classic Defender The roof lining is the least utilised area in the interior of a car. Yet it's a great place to pack away light and flat items in particular - if you have one of our ingeniously practical cargo nets installed.The 102 x 76 cm net for the old Defender (up to 2016) can be stretched in different ways depending on the vehicle size or configuration. In the 110, for example, this means at the very rear above the load compartment or the third row of seats, or in the centre. As the net is always accessible from the front and rear, this practical storage space extension can even be accessed quickly from the driver or front passenger seat in hardtops, camper conversions and other two-seaters.Tightening the flexible cargo mesh in the roof liner is extremely easy with 14 straps and belt clamps. Unlike PVC, nylon PU (polyurethane) is free of harmful phthalate-based plasticisers. Until recently, low-molecular phthalates were the most common plasticisers for plastics of all kinds and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are suspected of acting like endogenous hormones due to their molecular nature. This is highly questionable from a toxicological point of view and is considered to be a trigger for various diseases, including cancer.
