No more rust: replacement bulkhead for Td5 and 300 Tdi The bulkhead is pretty much the most complex body part in a Landy – and one of the most vulnerable components, too. For one, it’s sporting many edges, corners, folds, curves and rivet connections and requires a considerable number of screw holes: to the frame, to the connections in the engine bay and to the windshield. Add to that a whole bunch of openings for steering, pedals, air and electrics and you see the problem. All this structural complexity combined with its positioning exposes the bulkhead to water splashing up from below or trickling down from above. Dirt and chemicals collect in the nooks and crannies and trap moisture almost permanently. On the inside of the cabin condensation or leaks can produce the same effect behind the dashboard, panels or floor mats, thereby creating constant moisture exposure from both sides. No wonder, that the bulkhead is one of those components that suffer most from visible or hidden corrosion. Over time, it can even affect the frame. And if necessary, it can even be repaired while traveling. The strength of the Warmduscher kit is that it is simple and the two main elements (heater and boiler) function separately. Defects in one component do not automatically affect the other. A defect in the boiler is unlikely due to the high quality of materials and workmanship with high pressure resistance - however, should damage occur for whatever reason, the heater will continue to run completely unimpressed and that is a good thing. Because not being able to take a hot shower is one thing - spending the night in a completely chilled vehicle at perhaps -20 degrees is another. The Warm Shower Kit 2.0 is therefore a system that is simple to set up and easy to install.
