This is where the impeccably modern cockpit by design director Gerry McGovern and colleagues pays homage to the interior of the classic Defender, the original Landy. Good for us, because we immediately spotted an opportunity to improve storage capabilities: with our nifty dashboard bag for the New Defender. The open dashboard shelf is where you put all the odds and ends in your car. It was like that in the old Landy, it will probably be the same in the new one. But once you’re testing the L663’s tilt angle or maximum gradient, our new dashboard bag, made from easy-to-clean, robust nylon, will keep your stuff from actually flying around. Installing the bag firmly in the dash takes only a few minutes. The zipper has two sliders so that the bag can be opened and shut from both sides. On the inside, mesh compartments and Velcro fleece allow for organized and secure storage of all kinds of items. The front features MOLLE fleece to attach patches and other little things. Since the New Landy sports a designer cockpit, we used transparent plastic material on top of the bag. This allows for the ambient LEDs in the dashboard and the day light from the opening above to filter through into the bag’s interior. Nakatanenga Winch Bumper 2 for Land Rover Defender The new Nakatanenga NAWIBU2 winch bumper is equally suitable for Land Rover Defender 90/110/130 with or without air conditioning. It fits all model years and engine types, such as Td4, Td5, Tdi, Tdci, Puma, 2.5, 2.4 and 2.2. Locally manufactured for us, the winch bumper is powder-coated black and protects the front of the vehicle even during tough off-road use. The two integrated, swivelling recovery eyes are ideally suited for self and external recovery - or for attaching an optional pulley, which doubles the pulling force of the winch or makes difficult recoveries possible in the first place. The design of the winch bumper allows for easy registration by means of a fee-based individual approval. One of the main innovations of the NAWIBU2 bumper compared to its predecessor is the optional possibility to mount two 70mm driving lamps in a recessed position - this way they are optimally protected against damage in the terrain. We use LED driving lights from Nolden, which provide excellent light with low power consumption. They have an E-mark and can therefore be used without registration. In order to harmonise with any existing Nolden Bi-LED main headlights, the auxiliary driving lamps are available in black or chrome-coloured optics. If you order the bumper without headlights, the openings for headlights are not present. Depending on the vehicle version and winch type, it may be necessary to adapt the radiator grille. Nakatanenga RSpare wheel retaining plate stainless steel The stainless steel mounting plate is designed for DIY projects. It enables a Land Rover Defender wheel to be mounted on a flat surface, e.g. on a roof rack, a loading area or in the interior. The screw-in bolts/threaded rods have standard threads M16x2. The tire is fastened using the washers and nuts supplied. The screw-in bolts are 190 mm long. The size of the base plate is 200 mm x 200 mm. The plate alone, without accessories, is NOT suitable for mounting the spare wheel on the hood of the Defender! HBC Dual battery monitor The dual battery monitor is ideal for monitoring 2 separate batteries (starter and consumer battery). Available with matching plugs and wiring harness for LAND ROVER DEFENDER with 12 V dual battery system as a surface-mounted or built-in version. Nakatanenga has the exclusive distribution rights for the dual battery monitor in Europe. The digital technology used in these monitors makes it possible to accurately reproduce the non-linear characteristics of lead-acid batteries. Using the green button in the centre, you can switch the information output on the display from one battery to the next. The dual battery monitor emits an audible alarm/tone as soon as the battery is either overcharged (14.8 V and above) or over-discharged (12.2 V and below). The dual battery monitor has been specially developed to be combined with the Cyrix-ct intelligent automatic cut-off relay. Link function: If you press and hold the green button on the dual battery monitor for 10 seconds, both batteries are forcibly switched in parallel for a few minutes, which is particularly useful when operating a winch or when the starter battery is too low (only possible in combination with the Cyrix-ct cut-off relay). Replaces the main silencer: MSD exhaust pipe 110 SPEZIAL for Tdi Motorsport accessory, not street legal The “effects” are: Sonorous sound and significantly lower back pressure, which also reduces the temperature at the manifold. The sound is “rich” - just as it should be for a diesel. It is not noticeably louder when the windows in the interior are closed. Of course, the whole thing is not road-legal and can therefore only be driven on non-public roads or abroad. Most customers who have replaced the center silencer with our pipe also speak of better pulling power, which we can also confirm.
