ROADspec TD5 Solid Mass Flywheel Kit LOF Clutches’ goal was to deliver the best Solid Mass Flywheel kit for Td5 Discovery and Defender. They have engineered this product with two specific objectives: first, to prevent the typical vibrations for Td5 and second, to guarantee long lasting service from clutch and flywheel. The ROADspec clutch is specifically designed for your daily road-going Land Rover Defender or Discovery Td5. If you do a bit of towing now and then, perhaps some light off-roading or just use your Landy as a commuter, then the ROADspec has everything you need to keep you going for years to come. It’ll even take mildly tuned motors that have a little more poke than standard! And by the way, the pedal weight is not heavier than the original. Dual mass flywheels are prone to overheating in tuned vehicles with remapped engines or when the clutch has to deal with a lot of heavy towing or extreme conditions. Replacing DMFs with solid mass flywheels will prevent thermal damage. LOF’s solid mass flywheels conform to the characteristics of the original flywheels but are much more reliable, durable and even cheaper than components by Valeo or LUK. You can also easily upgrade the configuration with an EXTREMEspec heavy duty release bearing. LOF are testing their replacement kits with leading Land Rover tuning specialists in the UK and Europe. Perfect for vehicles with a stage1 map/ 400Nm / 180 bhp. Finally, Easier Clutch Operation: The Nakatanenga Clutch Spring for Your Defender! It's easy to forget these days, but driving used to be real work, and you don't even have to go back as far as double-clutching or hand-cranking the engine to start. Over the decades, many things in the Defender have become more user-friendly: power steering and electric windows take the strain off your arms, but especially with the TD5 and older models, it's often still the case that your clutch leg needs to be significantly stronger than your accelerator foot. Particularly in the low-range gears off-road, when maneuvering with a trailer, or even in stop-and-go city traffic, the physical effort of pressing the clutch pedal quickly becomes noticeable. As an ergonomic and cost-effective solution to this annoying problem, we now offer a new torsion spring that reduces the effort required for clutching by up to 45% compared to original return springs. The new spring can be installed in 300Tdi, Td5, and Td4 models. The necessary bushings are supplied. The conversion at the clutch pedal also works on models older than those mentioned above if retrofitting with a newer pedal box is possible. We are, of course, happy to help with any questions regarding this. These are your advantages at a glance: Noticeably Lighter Clutch Operation: Reduces the required pedal force and makes clutching significantly more pleasant – a difference you'll notice immediately! More Driving Comfort: Relieve strain on your left leg, especially in stop-and-go traffic, off-road, or on extended journeys. Easy Installation: The spring is designed so that it can be relatively easily exchanged for the original spring. Perfect Fit for Your Defender: Developed for Land Rover Defender models (please note compatibility with your exact model year and type, especially for 300 Tdi, Td5, Td4 2.4 & 2.2). Small Change, Big Impact: An often-underestimated modification that can significantly improve everyday driving with your Defender. Many Defender drivers swear by this simple yet effective optimization. If you desire more comfort when clutching without changing the fundamental characteristics of your vehicle, this spring is the ideal solution. Give your left foot a break! Order the Nakatanenga Clutch Spring now and experience a new level of shifting comfort in your Defender! If you're looking for a technically more sophisticated solution with even greater force reduction, you should take a look at our POWERmaster master cylinder for the clutch hydraulics here. You can find bearings and bushings as spare parts here.

Heavy Duty Clutch Kit for Land Rover Defender TD5 The clutch has to transmit enormous forces, especially when shifting gears under higher loads, e.g. in trailer operation or in vehicles with increased performance. A sometimes occurring problem in connection with the original clutch of the Defender is the penetration of oil from the engine or the gearbox into the clutch bell. This oil is absorbed by the porous friction linings and repeatedly comes into contact with the friction lining surface during driving due to the frictional heat generated. As a result of the reduced frictional engagement, the friction linings generate more heat and glaze. The heat is a measure of the converted energy that is no longer available to the drive! The organic lining used in this clutch cannot absorb oil and therefore cannot vitrify. It convinces with specially adjusted friction modifiers with a soft response behaviour and enables a 100% frictional connection. It goes without saying that the pads are asbestos-free, lead-free and free of other toxic heavy metals and heavy metal compounds.Note: We also recommend replacing the old clutch slave cylinder & clutch master cylinder -> Clutch slave cylinder / clutch master cylinderComplete set consisting of automatic clutch, friction disc and release bearing.

Set for overhauling the starter motor of the Defender Discovery Td5 In 99 per cent of all the cases that a Td5 starter is replaced it is not the actual motor itself, but the magnetic switch that is broken. Often its contacts are burned or worn, which still allows the starter to spin, but without the engine starting or only starting very reluctantly. For these cases we offer a cost-effective solution: with our service kit you can overhaul your starter yourself for a fraction of the price for a new OE starter (more than EUR 400,-). This is an easy DIY job without the need for special tools or expertise. Note: our starter service kit is not available at the manufacturers DENSO or Land Rover! In contrast to many cheap offers, ONLY WE offer a complete kit with all necessery parts as well as enlarged and strengthened contact plates.

For more stability and smooth running Improved intermediate shaft for the MT82 gearbox in the Land Rover Defender TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 Known problem: The intermediate shaft on the TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 / 2.2 models is not greased and is not supplied with oil. The connection of the two-part intermediate shaft wears out after prolonged use, since the shaft with the outer gear rim is in direct contact with the shaft with the inner gear rim. In the worst case, this wear causes the ring gear to shear off and the vehicle to stop. Regular greasing of the ring gear helps, but is very cumbersome in the long run. Our solution: The improved intermediate shaft supplies itself with the oil of the gearbox and thus prevents the shafts from wearing out. Easy and uncomplicated!

POWERslave for Td5 Discovery and Defender Heavy clutches with high pedal weight are a known phenomenon especially in Td5 Defenders (1998-2006) but also in many Td5 Discovery models (1998-2004). But there’s a simple and cost-effective solution for anyone experiencing problems with the heavy pedal. Installing a POWERslave slave cylinder will reduce the pedal weight by up to 30% in comparison to the original set-up. Please note: the POWERslave cylinder lowers the biting point of the clutch. On Defenders, the biting point can be adjusted in the pedal box. On Discovery 2 models, where the pedal box is not adjustable, we recommend installing the slave cylinder only after the clutch is worn in after a few thousand miles. LOF does not recommend the installation: for newly installed clutches in combination with the LOF Power master cylinder

Storage compartment footwell for Land Rover Defender TD4/TD5 Every Landy draws attention, for sure, but often enough it’s the unwanted kind from thieves and car burglars. That’s where this nifty and inconspicuous modification comes in for Defender models Td5 and Td4 (90/110/130) – whether camping conversion, expedition vehicle or your regular standard spec Landy. Our hidden underfloor locker for the front footwell is integrated in the floor panel and thereby creates a lot more security for your valuables. Secured by a lock, dust- and watertight and in most cases hidden by floor mats, the underfloor boxes are the ideal storage space for all those extremely important small things: documents, passports, wallets, expensive electronics, gadgets, tools, medication etc. Sporting a volume of ca. 7 liters, this roughly square storage box will hold an astounding amount of your most valuable items. Since the boxes are mounted underneath the footwell floor, we make them from extremely robust, powder-coated stainless steel. Installing the assembly kits for Td5/Td4 in the right or left front seat footwells is really simple. Other areas in the vehicle body are also suitable for mounting the locker, the cargo hold for example. In these cases, you can order the box also without the panel. If you own non-standard Defenders or older models, where the Td5/Td4 panels won’t fit, you should also choose the “locker only” option. The same applies if you simply want to make the cuts yourself in the existing floor panels. Important during installation: the flattened edge of the box must always face the centre of the vehicle during installation! Please note, if a tank or other additional attachments are mounted below the bottom plate, it is not possible to mount the storage box. Material: Box: Stainless steelFootwell panel: Aluminum
