Windscreen cover Famously, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad preparation, if we may extend the scope of the old saying. In any case, you’re well prepared for all sorts of situations if you carry one of our Nakatanenga multifunctional covers in your car. One side is covered in an insulating aluminum thermal foil, the other is made from PU coated, stepped nylon, making it a perfect multi-purpose cover. Especially when it’s cold or wet or both. The material is extremely robust, water-repellent and easy to clean. In winter, it makes the perfect windshield cover, especially for SUV’s or 4x4’s. With ample dimensions of 162 x 86 cm the mat features on the nylon side 6 firmly sewn-in d-rings made from sturdy plastic. You simply attach the included rubber straps, your own elastic cords and fasten them to mirrors or other structural features. The insulated aluminum side sports 5 cm wide and 20 cm long nylon straps that are meant to be trapped in the door frame. That way nothing will shift or be blown away by the wind overnight. In the morning everyone will appreciate a snow and ice-free windshield. The mat also does an excellent job at other times of the year or on other occasions. In summer, it reduces the heating of the inside of the car and is also the perfect base: as a picnic blanket for the damp meadow or as a place for the four-legged friend to lie down, for sports, outdoor activities or repairs in the field as well as the cosy round at the campfire. It is much lighter than solid plastic or aluminum bowls and requires much less storing space in your backpack or on your person. The interior PU-coating makes the folding bowl absolutely watertight and also allows for easy cleaning. Inside and outside, the bag is made of 100% nylon with PU coating: This means, as always with us, PVC-free functionality and washability, without the kids are burdened with harmful plasticizers. This pickaxe for example is used by the Swiss army engineer corps and it’s both extremely well-made and versatile. You can use it for all kinds of outdoor activities, as off-road equipment and much more. The forged steel head offers a point and a flat blade for all kinds of digging work required in a camp, e.g. making a fire pit, digging rain trenches around your tent or cracking ice in winter. When compared to a foldable army spade, this traditional pick offers considerable advantages. Especially on very hard or stony ground, digging with a folding spade is often difficult or even impossible. The army spade’s folding hinges limit the force that can be exerted and they also tend to get damaged or worn-out. In contrast, the pickaxe’s simple design means that the physical force is concentrated on a very small area at the tip or the blade. That makes the pickaxe your tool of choice, especially when it comes to harder surfaces. And besides, most outdoor digging tasks don’t involve removing huge amounts of soil. In most cases, loosening and scraping will suffice and for that the Swiss army pick is ideal. The newly developed, modular Nakatanenga Tool Roll owes its added value to our experience as an off-roader, screwdriver and also as a fan of tactical equipment. Large Velcro surfaces on the baseplate make our tool roll freely populated and extremely flexible. Depending on the size of the baseplate, it is possible to attach a maximum of eight separately available tool bags in four rows. A bag of size M correspond exactly to two of the size S. Through this modular system you take then only the tool sets, which are really needed. And we also thought about it: Loose bits and pieces find their place in the sewn-in mesh pockets. Hidden pocket for Defender seats - clever storage space for travelling & everyday life Everyone knows the bits and pieces lying around in the car that are not needed all the time, but still have to be close at hand. But where do you put it? The HIDDEN BAG storage compartment for the original seats of the Land Rover Defender is easily attached via four high-tensile Velcro and fleece surfaces under the driver or front passenger seat. The bag offers storage space for the 1000 little things of everyday life such as pens, screwdrivers, pliers, multitool, flashlight, batteries for a remote control, USB stick with workshop manual, spare glasses, air pressure tester, charging cable and much more. But even a small digicam, a GPS device or other valuables are quickly out of sight and accessible. The traveler may stow a second passport, unauthorized radio or copies of their travel documents. The scope of delivery includes 4 self-adhesive and tensile Velcro strips for the seat side. The bag is attached to these Velcro strips via its 4 fleece surfaces (see pictures below). No matter which kind of board you’re going for, though, there’s always two questions to keep in mind, whether your tracks are made from metal, synthetics or rubber: For one, where are you keeping them, before and after deployment or in seasonal storage? And two, how do you keep your vehicle clean, if you chose to transport the tracks inside the trunk or cargo hold instead of an outside mount? Our Nakatanenga board bags will conclusively solve both issues. We’re using great amounts of mesh material especially in the interior zip bag area, so that the wash roll can dry off quickly after you’ve been to a tiny wet room. If your shampoo or deodorant has leaked again, you can quickly rinse the mesh in a sink or basin. The wash bags exterior is Nylon PU-coated and therefore extremely robust, easy to clean and water resistant. Advantage #2: our firm G-hook! Even brand wash bags often sport these cheap round hooks that come off with the slightest movement or push. As a result, your personal hygiene items are too often scattered on less than appealing bathroom floors. Our G-hook closes the rolled-up wash bag tightly and you can also use it to hang the bag securely in windy or cramped places. We also enclose a hooked suction cup to firmly fix the bag to smooth surfaces like tiles or glass. Advantage #3: Roll it up! Roll beats bag, anytime, even when it comes to wash bags. Rolling up your gear minimizes the required storage space and holds everything tightly in place, thereby preventing damage to the bag or your hygiene articles by pointy or sharp objects within. When containers are firmly held together, they are also less likely to accidentally open up and spill the contents. There are two additional loops inside to hold your razor, toothbrush or similar. The amount of praise and positive feedback we’ve received really knocked our socks off! We are talking about our light summer socks, of course. Designing new socks is a bit like re-inventing the wheel but it seems our textile studio has really hit the spot and developed the formula for a supersock: Merino wool, performance-synthetics and first-class craftsmanship. And since our short Nakasox are flying off the shelves, we’re immediately following them with higher crew socks. Off-roaders, outdoor types and people who still do an honest day’s work prefer boots. They appreciate the stability around the ankle and the protection when romping around in the field. But that comes with a price because wearing a boot requires a crew sock. If you don’t want to experience subsequent hot flashes and puddles of sweat when wearing boots in the summer, we recommend our lightweight, high shaft Merino crew socks for comfort and good stability. Nakatanenga Muff for cosy, warm hands In the winter and on cold days in general, there are many occasions when gloves or mittens are not really practical because you need to use your hands off and on. This applies especially to activities where you keep still or move only slowly for longer periods of time, like winter sports events as a spectator, slow walks, visits to Christmas markets or aurora safaris in the far North. Or think about those outdoor pursuits that require the fine motor skills of your hands and fingers, as in hunting or ice fishing for example. The ideal place to warm your hands in these situations is not your coat pocket but a super warm and practical muff. Our muffs are manufactured in our very own textile shop from PU-coated nylon fabric. They sport an interior Polar Fleece lining and an intermediate wadding layer to create extremely efficient insulation that will warm your hands really quickly. On both ends, we’ve sewn in drawstrings to prevent cold air entering through the openings. With a length of 42 cm and a diameter of roughly 13 cm, you can almost fit the whole length of your underarms into the muff. Holding it in place is a sturdy strap that can be adjusted for all sizes and positions. In addition, we’ve also attached a MOLLE fleece to the front, for patches and small accessories. Mesh carrying bag for mountain ropes Our robust and easy-to-clean Polyester mesh bag was initially developed by our Nakatanenga textile shop to hold the kinetic tow ropes. The big Kinto rope with 8 m length and 24 mm width fits perfectly into this 60 x 35 cm bag. Apart from the ropes, this mesh bag is absolutely perfect for everything else that comes dirty and dripping: sports shoes and hiking boots, rain gear, training equipment, water sports, you name it. Using mesh as the primary material for bag, also means much nicer handling in comparison to ordinary closed materials. You can quickly pack wet and dirty ropes and let them drain and dry in the bag. That way, there is no chance for trapped moisture to contribute to any material deterioration and unpleasant moldy smells. You can also use the mesh itself to grab and handle excessively dirty equipment without having to use your bare hands, if nothing else is available. Nakatanenga Nylon Belt with Cobra Buckle
If all you want from a belt is to hold your trousers up, you’re not thinking this through! Of course, you can do just that with our Tactical Bear Belt and its GT Cobra® buckle, but we’ve packed so much more into this tactical piece of gear: tons of functionality, strength and security combined with ultra-light weight materials.
