STEERING DROP ARM PULLER - Defender
Steering drop arm puller - for Defender This item was designed to remove the handlebar arm from the steering box. The Defender steering drop arm can wear because of its position low down at the front of the chassis — it’s exposed to all the road spray and water that gets thrown at it. Water gets into the joint and eventually you will have to replace the drop arm and ball joint because the rust has corroded it. However splitting the steering drop arm from the steering box can be problematic because the steering drop arm and the steering box splines corrode together. This tool solves that problem. All the nooks and crannies in your Defender attract and hold water or wet dirt, which makes them a hotbed for corrosion – small wonder that the door areas are often affected by rust. Especially the C pillars in 4/5-door models frequently require replacement in Defender restorations because fittings, screw holes, undersides and the gaps between struts and body panels are a breeding ground for corrosion and often develop critical damage. Instead of piecemeal repair with angle grinder and welder, it’s often preferable to swap the entire component. We are offering individual C posts for the right or left side of all models where door seals are only pushed in and not riveted. If you have riveted seals, they need to be adapted. If you prefer to replace the entire door frame with B and C posts and also the sill, you can find the entire set here.

No more rust: replacement bulkhead for Td5 and 300 Tdi The bulkhead is pretty much the most complex body part in a Landy – and one of the most vulnerable components, too. For one, it’s sporting many edges, corners, folds, curves and rivet connections and requires a considerable number of screw holes: to the frame, to the connections in the engine bay and to the windshield. Add to that a whole bunch of openings for steering, pedals, air and electrics and you see the problem. All this structural complexity combined with its positioning exposes the bulkhead to water splashing up from below or trickling down from above. Dirt and chemicals collect in the nooks and crannies and trap moisture almost permanently. On the inside of the cabin condensation or leaks can produce the same effect behind the dashboard, panels or floor mats, thereby creating constant moisture exposure from both sides. No wonder, that the bulkhead is one of those components that suffer most from visible or hidden corrosion. Over time, it can even affect the frame. Heated windshield wire harness complete with Carling Contura switch for Defender equipped with OEM style heated windshields with two tabs or wires - one in each corner. Carling switch will require assembly. The kit requires minimal connections such as positive and negative terminals, ignition power and lighting power. The kit is rated at 20 amps with a turn-on time of approximately ten minutes and is suitable for use with the heated window part number CMB000411 or equivalent. The power cable is 500 mm long and is terminated with M8 rings from the relay set to the battery. The supply cable for the heated screen is 3000 mm long and terminates with an insulated lug socket. Screw fittings, rivets, welding points, the combination of different materials like steel, aluminum and rubber as well as mechanical stress often exacerbate the problem. If you are facing large scale restoration work in your 4/5 door Defender, you might consider whether a complete replacement of B and C pillars as well as the door sill isn’t the cheaper, quicker and most of all more thorough solution. De-cat pipe for Land Rover Defender Td4 2.2 replaces standard catalytic converter and thus reduces back pressure in the exhaust system. Better airflow of exhaust gases and thus better throttle response.In conjunction with other tuning options like K&N performance filter, chip tuning with performance intercooler und performance high-flow main silencer engine power can be increased noticably. Please note our fitting flat-charge! Please note that when fitting a de-cat pipe within the German road law your vehicle approval with be void. The de-cat pipe fits all vehicle lengths (90/110/130). There are different pipes for Td4 (MY 2007-2011) and Td5 (My 2002-2006) engines. The de-cat pipe is not suitable for Defender Td4 2.2 (from MY2012) because of the particulate filter. Please choose the engine type.
