Nakatanenga foldable door step
Climbing aid - Door step Access to the roof of a car is usually something for climbing professionals - especially from the side. This applies to expedition-ready 4x4s with CargoBear-style system carriers that can be climbed by ladder, and especially to SUVs with ski racks or family vans with roof boxes. Often the vehicles are simply too high or the drivers too small or unathletic to get safe and easy side access to the roof load. They try to find a foothold on the seats by groping with their feet while holding on tightly with one hand to avoid tipping over backwards. Or you climb onto boxes or makeshift ladders and let the passenger support you, but who always has ladders or a passenger with them? What fits into the car in any case is our convenient and safe climbing aid for hanging into the body-side locking brackets of the door locks. The ladder replacement is hooked into the catch eye of the latch with a simple, fold-out hook. The pressure of the rubberised rear edge of the step surface on the B- or C-pillar results in an absolutely safe climbing aid under load that does not wobble or slip. This way, you can reach every side of the car roof safely and quickly without much effort. The locking brackets of the car doors have to withstand forces that are many times the weight of the human body so that the door does not open in the event of an accident or attempted break-in. The ladder itself is made of an extremely solid aluminium alloy and is designed to withstand 200 kg. This means that even large and heavy contemporaries need not worry. However, the first use should be carried out with caution and care in order to get the necessary safety when climbing. And to ensure that the paintwork is not damaged, there is an additional rubber protector that can be attached to the edge of the step. By the way, if there is no more room for the foldable door step in the glove compartment or the centre shelf, you can leave the emergency hammer at home, because it has a steel tip at the front and thus also functions as a rescue tool for breaking windows. Nakatanenga CargoBear Quick mounting rails for various roof racks If you use your roof tent frequently or want to mount it on different vehicles, our quick mount system for roof tents is an enormously practical and time-saving solution. Whether CargoBear, FrontRunner or other roof rack systems, fastening our practical, two-part mounting rails is a question of minutes. Each rail’s bottom is attached to the carrier and the top to the underside of the roof tent, thereby providing and easy to reach connection that is equally quick to fasten or loosen again. That way, you only drive your tent around when you're actually going camping. As a general rule, two rails will be sufficient for mounting most tents. However, for larger/longer hard-shell tents, for example, we recommend using three rails. Repair Instead of Replace – The Color Kit for Roof Tent Covers The protective hoods of roof tents usually have to take a lot during the season. The exposed position of the tents makes this almost inevitable. If the hood is damaged, foxing threatens the tent very quickly. For some, then Gaffa tape is the tried and tested medium of choice. Often enough for the rest of the journey. The consequences of a minimal leaking hood are not immediately visible or smelling! To prevent a nasty surprise in the spring, there is now our repair kit for PVC protective hoods. Material and tools are especially designed for larger repairs. Delivery: 2x brushes 1x 50 ml glue 1x PVC material 48x48cm Manual: Cut the patches and round off the corners. Clean the areas to be bonded (warm soapy water or degreasing detergent) After drying for 10-15 minutes, the glue can be applied to both sides with a brush. (Attention: do not apply too much and above all apply evenly) Let the adhesive surfaces dry again for 10-15 minutes so that the solvents can escape. Touch the glue - if it is dry, you can continue. Place the patches precisely and press firmly. Experts use a roller here. Similar tools like a bottle or rolling pin works too. Important here is the exact positioning, since a later adjustment of the patches is no longer possible. Also, the force that is applied to push the tarpaulin later decides the strength of the adhesive surface. Dry overnight and let air dry for long-term maintenance.

Sense and purpose of an awning compact extension? Glare protection when the sun is low in the skyThe compact extension was developed directly from practical requirements - a nice formulation that in itself means nothing more than: "We were so annoyed and dazzled by the low sun one fine day that we wanted to remedy the situation." And already the initial question is actually fully answered. But that would only be half the truth. On the following picture you can see an awning without extension shown above: As the sun sinks (the same applies in the morning, of course - but for the sake of clarity we will limit ourselves here to the afternoon or evening situation), the light falls further and further under the awning. At a certain position of the sun, the light/shadow dividing line reaches the eye level of a seated person - from now on, the sun can dazzle until it sets. The illustration below shows an awning with a compact extension, which offers several advantages with its angled bracing: When the sun is high, a much larger area is shaded.Only when the sun is setting, the light/shadow dividing line reaches the eye level of a seated person. Here, of course, deviations are possible, since both the slope of the guy, the size of the person and his sitting position are influencing factors.But the most important thing is: You can see what's going on in your surroundings despite the glare shield! If the eyes and the lower edge of the compact extension are on a horizontal plane, then the view would extend exactly to the (ideal) horizon. If you compare that with a moderately braced complete front part, where the view is just between a few centimetres to a few steps - what a difference! What if the sun comes in from the side?Well, then the vehicle will probably have to be moved. But not with our new compact extension. All you have to do is unhinge it from the front, and you can attach it to the side in just a few easy steps. Voilà!But please note: The awnings have a uniform depth of two meters, but differ in their widths. Ideally it hit here all those who have a 200er awning. The extension is simply pulled into the existing keder rail of the awning. The extension has a keder diameter of 6.5 mm and is therefore also suitable for many other awnings. The corners of the extension can be fixed to the ground with the pegs and ropes included in the delivery. The extended length of the extensions is always 200 cm, regardless of the width. Compared to standard awning extensions, this extension has a small curve at the outer end, so that the extension has ideal tension when stretched. This means that it flutters less and withstands stronger winds better. It can be tensioned at an angle or vertically! With an extension that reaches all the way to the ground, you usually feel quite isolated from the surroundings.
