Practical shoe bag with piping for roof tents Another day is done, be it on the road or outdoors, and you’re looking forward to your cozy sleeping bag either classically in a tent or in your RoofLodge on top of the car. Especially when it’s wet and windy, one thing is of utmost importance for your comfort: shoes have to stay outside! Who wants to have dirt, wet and smell in your sleeping quarters? And just so that you don’t find your shoes in the morning wetter than before, we have a perfect Nakatanenga boot bag for you so that you can keep your stuff clean and dry within reach from the tent. No more plastic bags for you! Our bootbag can be inserted into keder rails and that’s why it is perfect for roof tents. There are two D-hooks as well, so that you can hang the bag from virtually anywhere in the camp or the car: ropes, poles and much more. The bag is big enough to take a lot more than just sneakers, crocs or flipflops. Hiking or biker boots are no problem. A sewn-in elastic cord with a toggle and a big flap with a click fastener make sure that this bag, in contrast to others on the market, can be properly closed. Rain, dirt or nosey animals are kept out for sure. The bottom of the bag features a mesh insert for good ventilation and draining of moisture. Who wants to step into wet and clammy boots first thing in the morning? The robust Nakatanenga shoe bags are available in the colour grey coyote. Material gray-coyote: nylon PU-coated

EXTENSION STRIPS for Evolution 2 Ground Tent Extended, stone grey EVOLUTION Series II Extended ground tents are designed for a tent mounting height of up to 210 cm (Extended 165) or 200 cm (Extended 140). If the roof tent is mounted at a greater height, then an extension strip should be used for this ground tent to compensate for the missing difference. The extension strip is simply zipped in between the floor pan and the underside of the tent side walls and compensates for a net difference of 10 cm. Of course, the zip added in this way is protected from direct rain by a tarpaulin. We will be happy to advise you: ☎ +49 9181 466 644

Side panel for Nakatanenga Evolution2 Awning Roof-mounted car awnings like our EVO II are a great pieces of equipment if you want to turn your 4x4 or van into a quickly set up mobile camp. But proper protection from wind, weather, sun and unwanted attention comes only with the addition of side walls. Conditions vary from location to location and even throughout a single day: the sun is moving from east to west and the wind is changing directions, too. By the sea, it becomes a lot stronger in the evenings and carries dust, sand and the occasional shower. But aside from weather protection, the side tarps also create valuable privacy in crowded camp grounds and other popular locations. Our side walls come in pairs and are the best solution for all these challenges. Simply stick the velcro fasteners to the roof awning’s frame and fasten the tarps to the ground using the four included tent pegs. All of that is simply a question of minutes and if the wind, the sun or a new location demand a change in position you can easily swap the sidewalls to accommodate the situation. The two side wall tarps are made from high quality PU-coated RipStop polycotton, a blended fabric containing 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This highly functional material is extremely resistant to tearing, it is water and dirt repellent and due to its high specific weight of 280 g/ m2 the material will make less noise in the wind. The tarp’s inner side features a layer of aluminum to assist in regulating temperature and to diffuse and amplify low intensity light sources like candles, camping lanterns etc. Color:Stone gray. Dimensions:Width 2 m, height 1.95 m Scope of delivery: 2 x side wall tarp4 x tent pegs Material:PU-coated RipStop polycotto

The Roof Lodge Evolution awning ... which can also be used on many roof tents from other manufacturers. The widespread term <awning> is somewhat misleading in itself, as it has always been more of a hanging tent in which you can quickly and easily store camping equipment such as a table and chairs, the little ones' toys and a pint of beer. This not only applies to tidying up in the evening, but also in the event of a downpour. What's more, the fact that these items are no longer immediately visible makes them a little safer from theft. We also like to refer to this awning simply as a <shower curtain>. This name also gives you an idea of the actual size of the hanging tents. This is always 120 cm in depth and 140 cm or 165 cm depending on the tent width. This makes them significantly larger than most showers, but still smaller than what many people imagine. However, if the roof tent is installed at a sufficient height, you have a space that can also be used comfortably for changing. These awnings were and are less suitable for use in bad weather. This results in a requirement profile for them that is completely different from that of the floor tents of the extended tents. As the awning's tent character is clearly in the background, we have given it some thought and completely redesigned it according to its use. They are now made from the same material that we already use for our LIGHTWEIGHT - T109 ripstop nylon with Oxford weave. This material is surprisingly strong for its surprisingly low weight of just 102 g/m² and is the obvious choice for use in an awning. As awnings, like ground tents, usually have to be transported in the vehicle, the pack size is not insignificant. The fact that the usual voluminous and heavy PVC groundsheet has been replaced by a thin and light tarpaulin means that the pack size of the awning can almost be described as tiny. Due to the type of use, elaborate window constructions are as pointless as spikes for ballerinas - nobody uses them. Of course, windows do have a right to exist in hanging tents; after all, you can not only see outside through them, they also let light into the tent. But this is where the T109 ripstop nylon comes into play again: this material has good light permeability, which puts the question of windows to rest once and for all. The entrance is usually located behind the ladder, which literally stands in the way of quickly stowing away the equipment. That's why we decided not to have an entrance. Some people will now say that Nakatanenga have definitely overshot the mark. But we simply questioned the design of the usual entrances with the entrance fabric, mosquito net and zippers and found that they were not necessary. Our awning therefore doesn't have an ENTRANCE, but of course there is an ACCESS - in fact several. The awning is fitted with zippers at all 4 corners. These can be used to separate the side walls from each other and thus not only determine the access as desired. You can also roll up one or all of the side walls. In the evening, for example, all you need to do is place the table and chairs on the tarpaulin, unroll the side walls and close the zippers. And the awning also offers real added value: the side tent walls also have two eyelets on the underside. The side walls can either be tensioned at an angle or extended using optional telescopic poles. This creates a rain-protected or shaded area of just under 5.5 by 1.2 meters. The awnings are suitable for all roof tents of the appropriate size that use the edge profiles shown on the Roof Lodge Evolution and LIGHTWEIGHT information pages. If you are not quite sure, please do not hesitate to contact us. It is not possible to use the awning and shoe bag at the same time. Note: The telescopic poles are NOT included in the scope of delivery.

For car campers and roof tent enthusiasts, roof loads are often a (ge)important issue. If you take it lightly, you risk roof damage. But away from the play on words and towards the bare figures, because the trend is clear: the average dynamic roof loads of vehicles are falling. While the G-Class with 200 kg and the new Defender with up to 168 kg are still solid values, things go downhill pretty quickly after that. Even a new Land Cruiser J150 Prado only manages 80 kilos, and in the normal passenger car segment the average is closer to 60 kilos, with a downward trend. In addition to changes in vehicle statics due to lightweight construction and electrification, the increased use of sensors and assistance systems is probably responsible for this. And even if the values for a stationary vehicle are of course considerably higher, the critical range for commercially available roof tents is approaching. At Nakatanenga, we are reacting to this development at an early stage and have therefore developed the Roof Lodge Lightweight, an ultra-light roof tent which, with a total weight of only approx. 46 kg, weighs a record low on the scales or the car roof. Of course, there are no restrictions on the space, comfort and weather protection you are used to from our Roof Lodges. How does it work? What is the difference between the LIGHTWEIGHT roof tent and our EVOLUTION 2 folding tents? >>> Detailed explanations and a description of the points listed below can be found on our info page, which opens in a new window. >>> First of all, we use 100% Oxford nylon with ripstop for the skin of the Lightweight, an extremely strong but surprisingly light material that weighs in at only 102 g/m2. Compared to the 320 g/m2 on our Evolution 2, this is a reduction of a whopping 78%. The fabric of the tent skin and the sun awning of the Lightweight are identical, PU-coated on the inside and impregnated on the outside. This means that no compromises are made in terms of wind and rain protection. How can weight be saved on the roof when travelling with the roof tent? Further weight can be saved on the Roof Lodge Lightweight by choosing the mattresses. As an alternative to our one-piece standard foam mattress (60 mm, approx. 5 kg) and the optional 3D mesh mattress (approx. 3.5 kg), we also offer a self-inflating Kampa mattress with a thickness of 10 cm and a weight of approx. 5.5 kg. The 10 cm thickness of the air mattress has been chosen so that, with a lower total weight, a comparable lying comfort and similar insulation properties to the combination of foam mattress with mesh underlay are given. Last but not least, the aluminium ladder can be removed and transported inside the car, which reduces both the roof load and the overall height of the vehicle. On car ferries, for example, 10 cm less height can often make a money-saving difference. Anyone who would like to go on a road trip with their own roof tent in times of limited contact, but does not have heavy four-wheel drive vehicles and would like to experience this adventurous way of travelling in the best sense of the word with station wagons, SUVs and even smaller cars up to hatchbacks, will be delighted with the Roof Lodge Lightweight. This item is bulky goods. The stated shipping weight differs from the actual item weight. The actual item weights are: Roof Lodge Lightweight with self-inflating mattress: approx. 47 kg.
