Few systems for securing cargo are simultaneously as flexible, robust and safe. If you ever had to tie down large, unwieldy or sensitive objects in your cargo hold or on the roof rack, you’ll know what we mean. So how do you actually improve lashing rails? By clicking rubber covers by Trekfinder into unused tracks. A simple, fast and secure solution. The rubber strips add little height with 3.5 mm and prevent dirt and dust from clogging fully or partially unused rails. This is particularly important in cargo holds or on open trailers, because dirt clogged rails make it harder to attach fittings and studs. The same goes for winter weather when snow and ice can render exposed rails next to useless. The rubber strips feature a ribbed surface to improve load safety. Loads that are positioned on top of the rubbers won’t slip or slide as easily. On roof racks, wind noises are being reduced and if you have mounted airline rails sideways on the rack or the vehicle itself, the rubbers prevent vegetation from getting trapped when off-roading. Nakatanenga foldable door step
Climbing aid - Door step Access to the roof of a car is usually something for climbing professionals - especially from the side. This applies to expedition-ready 4x4s with CargoBear-style system carriers that can be climbed by ladder, and especially to SUVs with ski racks or family vans with roof boxes. Often the vehicles are simply too high or the drivers too small or unathletic to get safe and easy side access to the roof load. They try to find a foothold on the seats by groping with their feet while holding on tightly with one hand to avoid tipping over backwards. Or you climb onto boxes or makeshift ladders and let the passenger support you, but who always has ladders or a passenger with them? What fits into the car in any case is our convenient and safe climbing aid for hanging into the body-side locking brackets of the door locks. The ladder replacement is hooked into the catch eye of the latch with a simple, fold-out hook. The pressure of the rubberised rear edge of the step surface on the B- or C-pillar results in an absolutely safe climbing aid under load that does not wobble or slip. This way, you can reach every side of the car roof safely and quickly without much effort. The locking brackets of the car doors have to withstand forces that are many times the weight of the human body so that the door does not open in the event of an accident or attempted break-in. The ladder itself is made of an extremely solid aluminium alloy and is designed to withstand 200 kg. This means that even large and heavy contemporaries need not worry. However, the first use should be carried out with caution and care in order to get the necessary safety when climbing. And to ensure that the paintwork is not damaged, there is an additional rubber protector that can be attached to the edge of the step. By the way, if there is no more room for the foldable door step in the glove compartment or the centre shelf, you can leave the emergency hammer at home, because it has a steel tip at the front and thus also functions as a rescue tool for breaking windows. Side locker for Land Rover Defender, stainless steel, black powder-coated on the back left
Side Lockers Externally accessible storage space is standard in Land Rover emergency or service vehicles. And for good reasons. Firstly, unused hollow spaces within the body offer additional stowage and secondly, items that shouldn’t be stored inside the car due to access, hygiene or health reasons can be kept separately. Especially when the vehicle has been modified into a camper van or the load space has to be kept clean for humans and animals, it is a good idea to keep certain items in exterior storage. This includes oily tools, wet and dirty clothes or smelly and chemically hazardous items like jerry can spout, funnels or fuel-soaked rags. Camping fans particularly like to store gas cookers, cartridges and cooking accessories in the side locker. Using the lid as a table, your morning coffee tastes best besides your vehicle. We have completely overhauled the side locker and managed to improve some of the key features significantly. So, if you haven’t cut a hole in the rear left of your Defender yet (or had it done for you*), it’s now time to do so. And if you already have our old side locker installed, you can easily upgrade to the new version. Dimensions and mounting holes are fully compatible so that the upgrade can be installed in no time. What’s new? The box is now welded all around and the construction has been designed to meet the requirements of IP67. This has greatly improved the stainless steel locker’s robustness and waterproofing. We also added a new compression key lock with IP66 certification. The lock’s clamp can be adjusted so that the lid will stay permanently tight and rattle-free. The lid’s hinges are mounted at the bottom and it is held at a 90° angle by small chains on either side, forming a small tray or table. The side locker is custom-made for Defender 110s. The five door station wagon will take the storage box behind the rear left wheel arch, the three door hard top alternatively offers installation in front of the wheel arch. Alternatively, this middle position in the hard top Landy can also take our bigger locker with even more stowage space. The new side storage locker can also be installed in all other camper vans and expedition vehicles which offer suitable space in the body. There are many aluminium roof boxes on the market - ranging from expensive, heavy and cheap quality. This aluminium box has an excellent quality/price ratio. It's also water- and dust-proof according to the IP54-Norm. The aluminium alloy of the box offers good protection against salt water and other environmental toxicants. The material strength is 1.0 mm. waterproof / dustproof according to IP54 standard Delivery without FLIXPLUS lashings! Please note that there is one important consideration about aluminum. As always, we make sure our products are stored, handled and shipped with the utmost care. Aluminum boxes, however, can always show minimal scratches, dull spots, blemishes, small dents or other superficial marks on delivery. These are solely due to the specific properties of the material. On contact with atmospheric oxygen, aluminum develops a natural, anti-corrosion patina. Three times lighter than steel, it is also considerably softer, making it the perfect material for metal sheets, especially when weight and durability are important. The flip side of these properties, though, means that aluminum can never be entirely free of scratches, blemishes etc. This is why these surface marks do not constitute grounds for customer complaints. After all, aluminum boxes are meant to be rugged items for heavy duty use and every mark tells a story. With that in mind, we hope you get the most out of your boxes!

But that’s a good thing, because if you are into tinkering, optimizing and upgrading, you will find a neat pre-cut body opening to hold additional waterproof storage or functional space irresistible. Mounting our lockable black fender box is as easy as it gets. It will take you under 5 minutes to unscrew the old cover and replace it with our locker by fastening it to the existing screw holes. If all you need is some exterior space for oily rags or gloves, that’s your job done right there. If you are feeling more ambitious, you might want to install electric sockets, pneumatic connectors or a kill-switch for your winch for instance. In that case, you will appreciate the fact that the floor of the box is loose to make these jobs that much easier.
