Electronic blower control for Land Rover Defender
Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. The retrofit kit includes the electronic control, a stepless slider and all the assembly parts for the connections. Installation instructions are included.

Before replacing the plugs, however, you should first check the condition of the cables and plugs. Often, the problem is simply that cables and plugs are exposed through porous plastic sheathing and the electrical contacts are suffering. As a rule, the service life of the plugs far exceeds that of the cable and plug connections, because cables and plugs and their insulation are naturally much more exposed to mechanical and weather-related influences. With our glow plug connector repair kits, Defender with Td5 and Td4 2.4l engines can be very easily retrofitted in case of problems with cables or connectors. This is also recommended if the glow plug set is being replaced anyway. The advantage of the repair kit is that the next time a problem occurs, it is not necessary to replace the entire wiring harness at great expense; instead, it is sufficient to replace the plug and cable up to the crimp connection. One such aspect is definitely the lighting for the load space in the back. The standard set-up is somewhat sparse but most of all it lacks proper roof lights. This is especially problematic since the cargo area is often filled up or modified by installed racks, boxes and the like. Our LED light bar solves this problem with more than sufficient 396 Lumens light intensity. The lightbar is easily installed on the trim above the cargo door and illuminates the entire load space – helping you to quickly find tools and equipment and ensuring safe working conditions day or night. Mounting the roughly 36 cm long and 2 cm wide LED lightbar is really easy. Simply click the two fastening clips into the edge of the upper door trim. The clips’ custom-shape will hold the lightbar firmly in position. Connecting the device to the Defender’s wiring is just as quick by simply pushing the LED bar’s wire behind the trim and pulling it along the D-pillar towards the standard lamp housing by the fuse box. In most cases, you won’t even have to remove the trim panels. Lastly, the LED bar’s connector is simply plugged into the standard lamp’s socket. Windscreen cover Famously, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad preparation, if we may extend the scope of the old saying. In any case, you’re well prepared for all sorts of situations if you carry one of our Nakatanenga multifunctional covers in your car. One side is covered in an insulating aluminum thermal foil, the other is made from PU coated, stepped nylon, making it a perfect multi-purpose cover. Especially when it’s cold or wet or both. The material is extremely robust, water-repellent and easy to clean. In winter, it makes the perfect windshield cover, especially for SUV’s or 4x4’s. With ample dimensions of 162 x 86 cm the mat features on the nylon side 6 firmly sewn-in d-rings made from sturdy plastic. You simply attach the included rubber straps, your own elastic cords and fasten them to mirrors or other structural features. The insulated aluminum side sports 5 cm wide and 20 cm long nylon straps that are meant to be trapped in the door frame. That way nothing will shift or be blown away by the wind overnight. Comes with powerful velcro strips for fitting. The waterproof wiring harness is fitted with a time relay with a push-button. The sleeve is switched on by push-button, it then heats for six minutes until it switches off automatically or for another six minutes if you press the button again. In cold climates your diesel fuel is prone to gelling as paraffin crystals form which turn the fuel flaky. As a result fuel flow through the filter stops and your engine loses power until it finally cuts out. Once the filter is blocked, it can only be freed by inducing heat. By emitting this heat and transferring it to the filter, our heating sleeve prevents the clogging of the filter element. The paraffin crystals are immediately dissolved by the induction of heat and the fuel can easily pass the filter again. If you are looking for a small, self-sufficient and portable heat source with unrivaled capacity for cold days and nights in unheated outdoor shelters or temporary accommodation, you get everything you need (or want) in a small, weatherproof aluminum box. Available in three modular versions with different configurations, the Nakatanenga heating box provides the perfect, independent heat source for tents, gazebos, garden sheds, mountain huts, snack stands, stalls and much more.
