Cargobear im Einsatz bei der Feuerwehr Trier
Eins von den Projekten, auf die wir richtig stolz sind. Die Feuerwehr Trier hat gerade zwei Ineos Grenadier zu Kommandowagen aufgebaut. Auf dem Dach: unser CargoBear 2.0 als Montageplattform für Blaulicht, Zusatzbeleuchtung und alles, was sonst noch auf dem Dach gebraucht wird.
Wenn sich die Lage ändert, muss sich die Ausrüstung anpassen
Feuerwehren müssen sich ständig an veränderte Bedingungen anpassen. Die Unwetter, Überflutungen und Waldbrände der letzten Jahre haben gezeigt, dass klassische Einsatzfahrzeuge an ihre Grenzen kommen. Große Löschfahrzeuge bleiben im Schlamm stecken, kommen in überschwemmten Straßen nicht weiter oder passen schlicht nicht durch, wenns eng wird.
Die Feuerwehr Trier hat darauf reagiert und hat jetzt zwei neue Erkundungsfahrzeuge. Klein genug, um da hinzukommen, wo die großen Fahrzeuge nicht mehr weiterkönnen. Schnell genug, um als Erstes vor Ort zu sein. Und geländegängig genug, um durch bis zu 80 cm Wasser zu fahren. Die Wahl fiel auf den Ineos Grenadier.
Warum der CargoBear auf dem Grenadier der Feuerwehr
Der Feuerwehr war wichtig, dass der Dachträger voll begehbar ist. Die Einsatzkräfte müssen aufs Dach steigen können, um von dort aus Menschen zu retten. Zum Beispiel aus Fenstern bei Hochwasser.
Wenn eine Feuerwehr ein Produkt für solche Einsätze wählt, dann ist klar, dass sie sich vorher sehr viele Gedanken über Einsatzmöglichkeiten, Haltbarkeit und Qualität gemacht hat. Denn bei Profis gibt es keine Kompromisse, die Sachen müssen halten. Punkt.
Der CargoBear 2.0 für den Ineos Grenadier
Den CargoBear gibt es in vier Varianten, je nachdem was gebraucht wird. In der einfachsten, offenen Version besteht er aus drei Querbügeln, einem Windschott vorne und dem Abschlussträger hinten. Wer eine voll begehbare Plattform braucht, wie eben die Feuerwehr Trier, greift zu einer der geschlossenen Varianten. Die kurze Version kommt mit drei Querbügeln und zwei geschlossenen Feldern für die hinteren zwei Drittel der Dachfläche. Die lange Version hat vier Traversen und drei geschlossene Felder über das komplette Dach. Und für Grenadiere mit Safari-Fenstern gibt es eine spezielle Version, bei der die hinteren Felder geschlossen sind und vorne zwei Öffnungen die Dachfenster freihalten.
Befestigung: bewährt und weitergedacht
Die Befestigung funktioniert ähnlich wie beim alten Landy: Spannbügel an der Dachrinne, unkompliziert und bewährt. Weil die Dachrinne beim Grenadier allerdings etwas weicher ausfällt, haben wir eine Hybridlösung entwickelt. Zusätzliche U-Profile und Auflagewinkel verbinden den CargoBear mit den Dachgriffen und verteilen die Last gleichmäßiger.
Das Ergebnis: ein ultraflacher Dachträger, der stabil genug ist, dass man drauf stehen und arbeiten kann. Und was sich im Feuerwehreinsatz bewährt, macht sich natürlich auch auf Reisen bezahlt: ob Dachzelt, Boxen oder schweres Expeditionsgepäck, was die Profis im Einsatz fordern, kommt jedem zugute, der sein Fahrzeug zuverlässig beladen will.
Alle Aluminium- und Edelstahlkomponenten sind schwarz pulverbeschichtet und passen damit zum puristischen Design des Grenadiers.

Nakatanenga CargoBear for Ineos Grenadier The launch of the Ineos Grenadier was without a doubt the biggest event for the off-road community since the launch of the new Defender. And since the two are more or less officially competing for the title of best successor to the old Landy, it's a pretty exciting affair. When it comes to the shape of the roof, the new Ineos is hardly distinguishable from the old Defender, including the slope at the front, the side gutters and the mighty roof load of 150 kg (dynamic load) and 420 kg (static). All of that makes it a joy to fit the Grenadier with our CargoBear modular roof rack. The legendary CargoBear is just as ambitious and versatile as the British newcomer with its Bavarian-Austrian technology and old-school look. The CargoBear for the Grenadier (Station Wagon/Utility Wagon) can be ordered in four variations – but thanks to our modular system, subsequent conversions or add-ons are easily done, whenever your specific requirements change. In the simplest, open version, the roof rack consists of three crossbars, a wind deflector at the front and the end carrier at the rear. For closed and therefore fully accessible platforms, the Bear is available in three further versions: As a short roof rack with three crossbars, two closed sections between the bars, a wind deflector and end panel. As a long version with four crossbars, three closed sections between the bars, a wind deflector and end panel. There is also a special version for grenadiers with safari windows in the front roof. Here the rear two sections are fully closed, the front one has two openings on the sides, so as not to obstruct the safari windows. As with the old Landy, the ultra-flat roof rack is simply mounted to the roof gutters by clamping brackets. A hybrid solution specially adapted to the Grenadier provides even more stability: additional U-profiles and support brackets connect the CargoBear to the handles on the roof to take excessive load off the gutters. As always, all aluminum and stainless steel components of the CargoBear are powder-coated in black. This makes them a perfect match for the purist design of the Grenadier. To top it off, literally, our custom-made CargoBear roof rack system adds even more functionality to the rugged Grenadier. Our modular rack system transforms this workhorse with its BMW power and Magna Steyr engineering into a true adventurer. The Quartermaster's high roof load capacity of 120 kg dynamic and 375 kg static is ideal for expedition equipment or, for example, our RoofLodge roof tents. The modular rack for the double cab's roof, which is shorter than that of the Station Wagon, is 1.83 m long when fully assembled and consists of three crossbars, two platform components, a wind deflector at the front and an end plate at the rear.
