Our Story: From Garage Project to Off-Road Specialist
Nakatanenga was born from a passion for travelling off the roads. Back then it was a garage setup with a handwritten list and the idea of gathering the best equipment for true 4x4 journeys. Today Nakatanenga is firmly part of the off-road scene. And even if its name still causes a grin or a creative mispronunciation now and then, once that name is known it’s not easily forgotten.
The company started as an off-road travel organiser and the first guided tours headed to Morocco, later adding Tunisia, Algeria and Libya. And sooner or later came the questions: what does one actually need for such a trip? That’s how the first packing lists for customers came about. And when the next question popped up – where do I get this from? … well, the rest is history. Step by step Nakatanenga became a 4x4 equipment shop. In 2001 the online shop was launched – grown from real needs and the desire to make travelling easier for others. From practical experience, for practical use.
