Side Lockers Externally accessible storage space is standard in Land Rover emergency or service vehicles. And for good reasons. Firstly, unused hollow spaces within the body offer additional stowage and secondly, items that shouldn’t be stored inside the car due to access, hygiene or health reasons can be kept separately. Especially when the vehicle has been modified into a camper van or the load space has to be kept clean for humans and animals, it is a good idea to keep certain items in exterior storage. This includes oily tools, wet and dirty clothes or smelly and chemically hazardous items like jerry can spout, funnels or fuel-soaked rags. Camping fans particularly like to store gas cookers, cartridges and cooking accessories in the side locker. Using the lid as a table, your morning coffee tastes best besides your vehicle. We have completely overhauled the side locker and managed to improve some of the key features significantly. So, if you haven’t cut a hole in the rear left of your Defender yet (or had it done for you*), it’s now time to do so. And if you already have our old side locker installed, you can easily upgrade to the new version. Dimensions and mounting holes are fully compatible so that the upgrade can be installed in no time. What’s new? The box is now welded all around and the construction has been designed to meet the requirements of IP67. This has greatly improved the stainless steel locker’s robustness and waterproofing. We also added a new compression key lock with IP66 certification. The lock’s clamp can be adjusted so that the lid will stay permanently tight and rattle-free. The lid’s hinges are mounted at the bottom and it is held at a 90° angle by small chains on either side, forming a small tray or table. The side locker is custom-made for Defender 110s. The five door station wagon will take the storage box behind the rear left wheel arch, the three door hard top alternatively offers installation in front of the wheel arch. Alternatively, this middle position in the hard top Landy can also take our bigger locker with even more stowage space. The new side storage locker can also be installed in all other camper vans and expedition vehicles which offer suitable space in the body. There are many aluminium roof boxes on the market - ranging from expensive, heavy and cheap quality. This aluminium box has an excellent quality/price ratio. It's also water- and dust-proof according to the IP54-Norm. The aluminium alloy of the box offers good protection against salt water and other environmental toxicants. The material strength is 1.0 mm. waterproof / dustproof according to IP54 standard Delivery without FLIXPLUS lashings! Please note that there is one important consideration about aluminum. As always, we make sure our products are stored, handled and shipped with the utmost care. Aluminum boxes, however, can always show minimal scratches, dull spots, blemishes, small dents or other superficial marks on delivery. These are solely due to the specific properties of the material. On contact with atmospheric oxygen, aluminum develops a natural, anti-corrosion patina. Three times lighter than steel, it is also considerably softer, making it the perfect material for metal sheets, especially when weight and durability are important. The flip side of these properties, though, means that aluminum can never be entirely free of scratches, blemishes etc. This is why these surface marks do not constitute grounds for customer complaints. But that’s a good thing, because if you are into tinkering, optimizing and upgrading, you will find a neat pre-cut body opening to hold additional waterproof storage or functional space irresistible. Mounting our lockable black fender box is as easy as it gets. It will take you under 5 minutes to unscrew the old cover and replace it with our locker by fastening it to the existing screw holes. If all you need is some exterior space for oily rags or gloves, that’s your job done right there. If you are feeling more ambitious, you might want to install electric sockets, pneumatic connectors or a kill-switch for your winch for instance. In that case, you will appreciate the fact that the floor of the box is loose to make these jobs that much easier. The HIDDEN BAG storage compartment for the original seats of the Land Rover Defender is easily attached via four high-tensile Velcro and fleece surfaces under the driver or front passenger seat. The bag offers storage space for the 1000 little things of everyday life such as pens, screwdrivers, pliers, multitool, flashlight, batteries for a remote control, USB stick with workshop manual, spare glasses, air pressure tester, charging cable and much more. But even a small digicam, a GPS device or other valuables are quickly out of sight and accessible. The traveler may stow a second passport, unauthorized radio or copies of their travel documents. Our hidden underfloor locker for the front footwell is integrated in the floor panel and thereby creates a lot more security for your valuables. Secured by a lock, dust- and watertight and in most cases hidden by floor mats, the underfloor boxes are the ideal storage space for all those extremely important small things: documents, passports, wallets, expensive electronics, gadgets, tools, medication etc. Sporting a volume of ca. 7 liters, this roughly square storage box will hold an astounding amount of your most valuable items. The console has not only a large storage compartment but also a DIN slot allowing for a radio or switches to be mounted. Nakatanenga Mudguard Stowage Box The Nakatanenga mudguard storage boxes for the Land Rover Defender 90 / 110 are very light thanks to the case construction used, yet robust - an ideal combination for any touring vehicle! In addition, there are very high-quality fittings with field-proven performance features and great flexibility in design. We offer the box in two lengths as standard. The short design (630 mm length) is intended for the right-hand side of the Defender. The long design (900 mm length) is used on the left-hand side. If an internal roll cage is fitted, a mudguard stowage box can still be fitted: no modification is necessary on the right side due to the tank connection, the short box is used on the left. If you need special lengths or already have other installations in the rear of the vehicle, please contact us - we can work out very flexible solutions for you! The surfaces of the storage box are made of 6.9 mm thick birch plywood, a material that combines high robustness and low weight. It is made with a D4 adhesive which, according to DIN/EN204, is "suitable for indoor use with frequent and long-lasting exposure to run-off water or condensation". The wood is colour-coated with PVC and covered with a counterfoil. Even items that are only needed in an emergency are then within easy reach.In addition to a space-saving bag, the innovative Overhead Storage System contains a base plate that is attached between the sun visor and the car roof. In various bundles, you can then decide whether the plate with radio holder is intended for the driver's or passenger's side. In the case of the base plate with radio holder, a suitable holder for the CB handset is also included in the scope of delivery. This holder uses the three attachment points of the centre mirror.The bag and plate are available in black and grey. As an alternative to the Albrecht radio, other radios with similar dimensions (104 x 100 x 25 mm) can also be attached.
