The Warm Shower Kit is the simple way to equip touring vehicles or boats & yachts with a hot air heater and hot water at the same time. In contrast to technically complex combination devices, the kit consisting of two individual devices is less expensive and, above all, less prone to complete failure. And if necessary, it can even be repaired while traveling. The strength of the Warmduscher kit is that it is simple and the two main elements (heater and boiler) function separately. Defects in one component do not automatically affect the other. A defect in the boiler is unlikely due to the high quality of materials and workmanship with high pressure resistance - however, should damage occur for whatever reason, the heater will continue to run completely unimpressed and that is a good thing. Because not being able to take a hot shower is one thing - spending the night in a completely chilled vehicle at perhaps -20 degrees is another. The Warm Shower Kit 2.0 is therefore a system that is simple to set up and easy to install. It is therefore perfect for DIY enthusiasts, but of course also for professional manufacturers who want to offer their customers a low-maintenance, trouble-free solution for their trips. How does the Warm Shower Kit 2.0 work:The Warm Shower Kit 2.0 can generate hot water in three different ways: Via an electric heating element, which means via electricity if you have just enough reserves, or are connected to shore power.Simply on the side when the heating is running - without consuming any additional energy. Hot water is the "waste product", so to speak.NEW: The boiler can be integrated into the engine's cooling water circuit to heat either the service water itself or a second water loop. Conversely, the engine can also be preheated to make starting more gentle (not suitable for use in arctic temperature ranges).Each of these three options has its advantages and can be used when it suits best. After a few days of self-sufficient camping in hot weather, for example, you don't want to leave the heating on, nor do you want to heat up the water from driving. However, if it is too warm for the heating, there is probably enough solar power in the batteries to generate hot water via the electric heating element. With the combination of three options, this kit always offers the one that fits perfectly in every situation. The options for integration into the cooling water circuit are as follows: Cooling water circuit heats the service water, i.e. the cooling water circuit is connected to the boiler and heats service water for showers etc. while driving. (Caution: As the temperature of the cooling water can rise above 100°C (due to pressure), the boiler must be prevented from overheating by means of a valve or by switching off the circulation pump).The boiler preheats the cooling water circuit (engine), which means that the above function is reversed. The engine cooling circuit can be preheated by connecting the boiler to a 230V/110V power source or by using hot air from the parking heater.Heating a second water loop, whereby the energy that is fed into the boiler via the electric heating element or hot air is fed into a second water circuit via a circulation pump. It is also possible to combine the two water circuits (so that the cooling water circuit heats the second water loop), although precautions must be taken with regard to the flow temperature from the motor. NEW: Integration of a second water loopWith combiBOIL it is possible to operate a second water loop with hot water. For example, underfloor heating or towel radiators can be implemented to make it easier to dry wet clothes and towels in the vehicle. Please note that an expansion tank must be integrated into the water loop and, depending on the application, the water may need to be circulated by a circulation pump. Practical Side Extension for Nakatanenga Awnings Please note: The front panels are only suitable for 250 cm wide awnings. The front sections are crammed into the top of the awning and attached to the side of the pole poles (see pictures). The side panels are attached to the horizontal aluminium poles at the top and to the pole poles at the side. The side panels are suitable for all awning widths. We offer the side panels in pairs, the front panels individually. This practical extension for our awnings is ideal for travel and holidays and offers ideal protection from the sun, evening cold, rain and wind. It significantly increases the utility value of the Nakatanenga awning. The fabric is made of sturdy RipStop nylon (600den, with PU coating) and is therefore largely safe from mould and mildew stains. Nevertheless, a damp awning or the side walls should be dried after 2-3 days. These individual walls have been deliberately designed without additional windows and doors. Since the individual elements can be braced like tarps, openings in the surface would mean that the wind would push the rain under the opening covers and thus the areas underneath could not be used. But away from the play on words and towards the bare figures, because the trend is clear: the average dynamic roof loads of vehicles are falling. While the G-Class with 200 kg and the new Defender with up to 168 kg are still solid values, things go downhill pretty quickly after that. But if you spend enough time on the road or in nature – be it in a camper van, on a boat, in a food truck or a market stall – you will know what a truly great thing water is when it flows clean and warm wherever and whenever you need it. If you already have a diesel heater installed in your vehicle, boat or trailer – by AUTOTERM or an equivalent – you can easily upgrade to a warm water system. Pundmann have designed their mobile water heaters, the 6-liter Therm 6AIR and the 9 liter Therm 9AIR, specifically for AUTOTERM diesel heaters. Accordingly, installation is completely hassle-free. If you have a 230V power outlet available, you can run the water heater with the inbuilt 500W heating element. Whenever there is no electricity nearby, simply let your Autoterm (or equivalent) do the job of heating your water. Re-usable Face Masks with Changeable Filters Made in Germany In the West, we can take a lot of inspiration from the East when it comes to preventing the spread of infections for oneself and others. In Asia, face masks are an integral part of everyday life. Often still frowned upon in our culture, the experience during the lockdown has made us more pragmatic, not the least due to recommendations by the Robert-Koch-Institute or various international medical associations. According to many experts, even simple home-made masks without FFP2/3 certification can significantly reduce the risk of becoming infected and, more importantly, to spread infections to others.The Nakatanenga face mask is extremely robust, reusable, made of mesh on the outside and a replaceable 3-layer filter layer on the inside. The mesh material of the mask wearer is normally used in rucksacks and many of our bags, so it is extremely resistant, but on its own without any protective effect. The fleece for the filter inserts comes from industry, but is free of chemical pollutants and does not put additional strain on the organism. The inner lining is made from original Coolmax®, usually applied in sports and outdoor clothes. Coolmax® is skin-friendly, fast drying and wicks away moisture. The anatomic fit and an adaptable rubber cord with a stopper make this mask very comfortable to wear, thereby increasing the protective effect.The mix of high-quality materials and the design based on expert recommendations lets us offer a long lived and robust mask for repeated use, made in EU. To ensure optimum efficiency, the mask should be worn for the maximum duration of one day. After that it should ideally be machine washed with regular detergent. Wash as often as possible. General opinion among medical professionals considers 60°C as sufficient, but you can also wash it at 90°C. Swap the changeable filters during the course of the day. CAUTION: do not use fabric softeners, as they can destroy the fleece’s filtering capacity. Do not tumble dry. We explicitly state that our face masks are NOT medical masks with certified protection against COVID19 and other pathogens. But since there is still a shortage of medical protection equipment and the proper personal protective equipment is best employed in hospitals and by first responders, we want to help wherever we can. That’s why we are producing our masks based on recommendations by scientists and the medical authorities, advising that fabric masks can reduce the risk of airborne infection. This is primarily aimed at the risk to transmit infections to others. Our Nakatanenga masks are available in sizes M and L. M generally fits women and smaller persons, L is for men. You can order the masks in the colors Coyote or Black. The lining can vary because we are using materials that are currently available or in stock. The red mask’s lining is turquois.
