Der Atem gefriert in der Luft, statt des Eiskratzers wäre eher ein Meißel angesagt. Der Anlasser braucht eine halbe Umdrehung mehr und der Diesel klingt so, als wäre er noch nicht ganz wach. Wer jetzt noch keine Winterreifen drauf hat, der bringt nicht nur sich und andere in Gefahr, sondern bewegt sich auch rechtlich auf mehr als dünnem Eis. Schlau, wer vorgesorgt hat und schon am ersten Tag als die Luft leise geflüstert hat, "Winter is coming" die Winterreifen aufgezogen hat.
Natürlich gibt es da jedes Jahr wieder den Streit: Die einen setzen auf Ganzjahresreifen, die anderen wechseln lieber im Winter. Glaubensfragen muss jeder für sich selbst beantworten. Wichtig ist, dass der Reifen zum Einsatz passt. Wer den Wechsel bevorzugt, macht es sich mit fertig montierten Winterreifen auf Felge besonders leicht: montiert, gewuchtet und bereit, wenn der erste Frost kommt. Welche Winterreifen passen auf meinen Offroader?
Winterreifen für Offroader sind ein ganz eigenes Thema. Viele denken, MT-Reifen wären im Schnee unschlagbar: grobes Profil, tiefe Rillen, das muss doch gehen. Weit gefehlt. Schnee ist nicht gleich Matsch, und was im Sommer perfekt durch den Acker pflügt, wird im Winter schnell zur Rutschpartie.
Die meisten Mud-Terrain-Reifen haben keine Schneeflocke (3PMSF) und damit ist klar: Sie dürfen bei winterlichen Bedingungen auf öffentlichen Straßen nicht gefahren werden. Punkt. Ohne dieses Symbol sind MTs reine Offroad-Reifen - super fürs Gelände, aber nichts für Eis, Schnee oder kalten Asphalt.

Welche Winterreifen brauche ich für den Ineos Grenadier?
Für den INEOS Grenadier bieten wir komplett montierte Winterreifen-Sätze auf 18-Zoll-Felgen an. Alle Varianten sind technisch geprüft, perfekt auf den Grenadier abgestimmt und sofort einsatzbereit.
Zur Auswahl stehen verschiedene Profile je nach Einsatzbereich:

Welcher Winterreifen passt auf den Suzuki Jimny?
Für den Suzuki Jimny II (GJ/HJ) haben wir einen passenden Komplettradsatz mit BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 im Programm. Der Reifen ist ganzjahrestauglich und mit M+S- sowie Schneeflockensymbol (3PMSF) ausgezeichnet, damit auch im Winter offiziell zugelassen.
Montiert ist der Reifen auf der Dotz Dakar Stahlfelge, einem Klassiker unter den Offroad-Felgen. Robust, TÜV-geprüft und optisch perfekt auf den Jimny abgestimmt.
Der Winter-Komplettradsatz für den Suzuki Jimny ist in zwei Größen erhältlich:
- 215/75 R15
- 225/75 R16 (erfordert ein Höherlegungsfahrwerk, eine Tachoangleichung und leichte Anpassungen an den Radhausschalen).

Was macht einen Winterreifen aus?
Ein Winterreifen ist kein Zubehör für Schönwetterfahrer, sondern pure Notwendigkeit, wenn's draußen ernst wird.
Die Gummimischung bleibt auch dann noch weich, wenn das Thermometer längst kapituliert hat da, wo Sommerreifen schon klingen, als würden sie aus Hartplastik bestehen. So bleibt der Kontakt zur Straße oder zum matschigen Waldweg stabil, auch wenn die Finger am Lenkrad schon frieren.
Das Profil hat es ebenfalls in sich: tief, offen, mit unzähligen Lamellen, die sich im Schnee festbeißen wie Spikes an einem Trailrunner. Breite Rillen räumen Wasser, Schneematsch und Dreck zuverlässig weg, damit aus Winter nicht gleich Schleuderkurs wird.
Erkennen lässt sich ein echter Winterreifen am Alpine-Symbol, dem kleinen Berg mit Schneeflocke (3PMSF). Alles andere ist bestenfalls Deko, denn das alte M+S-Zeichen reicht rechtlich nicht mehr aus. Es wurde in einer Übergangsfrist bis Ende 2024 noch anerkannt. Seit 2025 gilt: Nur Reifen mit dem 3PMSF-Symbol gelten offiziell als wintertauglich und dürfen bei Schnee und Glätte gefahren werden.
Kann man Sommerreifen auf der gleichen Felge wie Winterreifen fahren?
Klar kann man, wenn Größe, Breite und Felgenmaß passen, spricht technisch nichts dagegen. Die Reifen lassen sich also auf derselben Felge montieren, solange alle Daten übereinstimmen.
Aber ehrlich gesagt: praktisch ist das nicht. Jedes Halbjahr Reifen abziehen, aufziehen, auswuchten. Das geht aber auf Material, Nerven und Felgenhorn. Und spätestens, wenn das Wetter mal wieder schneller umschlägt als gedacht, wünscht man sich einfach einen zweiten Satz, der nur noch drauf muss.
Darum setzen viele auf Komplettradsätze: Sommerreifen auf Alu, Winterreifen auf robusten Stahlfelgen. Spart Zeit, Geld und schont das Material. Und gerade bei Defender, Grenadier oder Jimny macht das Sinn, da wechselt man nicht nur Jahreszeiten, sondern oft auch den Untergrund.
So bleibt das Fahrzeug das ganze Jahr über fahrbereit, ohne Kompromisse, ohne Schrauberei bei Minusgraden.
Warum ist es sinnvoll, Winterreifen-Kompletträder zu kaufen?
Wer schon mal bei Frost Reifen gewechselt hat, weiß: Kompletträder sind einfach die bessere Idee. Montiert, gewuchtet und sofort einsatzbereit, kein Werkstatttermin, kein Gefummel, kein Stress.
Außerdem hält, was zusammengehört: Felge und Reifen sind perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Das spart Material, sorgt für ruhigen Lauf und schont nicht zuletzt die Nerven. Und weil die Räder fix und fertig kommen, bleibt das Fahrzeug mit wenigen Handgriffen bereit für die kalte Jahreszeit.
Gibt es spezielle Felgen für Winterreifen?
Nicht zwingend, aber die richtige Felge macht im Winter einen großen Unterschied. Schnee, Salz und Matsch setzen dem Material ordentlich zu, und was im Sommer nur hübsch glänzt, kann im Winter schnell leiden.
Darum setzen wir bei unseren Winter-Kompletträdern auf robuste Stahlfelgen wie die ANR Classic, Dotz Dakar oder die originalen Wolf-Felgen, alle erprobt im echten Einsatz. Sie verzeihen mehr, lassen sich leicht reinigen und sind auch nach Jahren noch einsatzbereit.
Wer lieber Leichtmetall fährt, bekommt bei uns Borbet-Felgen mit winterfester Beschichtung, also keine Showteile, sondern Felgen, die für Dreck, Frost und Dauereinsatz gebaut sind.
Kurz gesagt: Es braucht keine speziellen „Winterfelgen", aber Felgen, die den Winter aushalten und genau die verwenden wir für unsere Winter-Komplettradsätze.
Worauf muss man beim Wuchten von Reifen für den Defender achten?
Gerade beim Defender ist die Montage keine Sache für den Schnellservice. Hier wird nicht über die Nabe, sondern bolzenzentriert montiert, also über die Radmuttern, nicht über die Zentrierungshilfe wie bei modernen PKW. Das erfordert Erfahrung, Präzision und das richtige Werkzeug. Wir montieren Defender-Felgen seit jeher ausschließlich bolzenzentriert, weil nur so alles rund läuft, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes.
Und ja, das kostet bei uns ein bisschen mehr als beim Reifenwechsel-Discounter, aber Montage sollte kein Glücksspiel sein. Wer beim Investment in einen neuen, schönen Satz Räder spart, spart am falschen Ende.
