Survival cord 1.7 mm, 4 different colors „His life was hanging by a thread” – everybody knows the phrase to describe situations where survival is at stake. Luckily, modern synthetic high-performance threads make these circumstances much less precarious as the phrase suggests. So why not rely on strings or cords made from such threads in your wilderness adventures? If you regularly encounter extreme outdoor conditions in your hobby or your job, you need light, durable and multi-purpose equipment which gives you the most performance per pound. Apart from a good knife, a length of good string is part of the absolute essentials in Bushcraft. The Nakatanenga cord sports a Kernmantle-style structure, an extremely light yet highly tearproof synthetic material, which, incidentally, we also use in our heavy duty winch cables. But in contrast to these ropes, the Survival Cord is only an astonishing 1.7 mm thin, while still boasting a breaking load of incredible 250 kg. That is more or less the weight for standard survival paracords, which in turn are usually more than twice as thick, though. Carry our Nakatanenga cord with you and it’ll be a load off your mind.  You can use the 33 m length of string in your survival pouch or backpack to weave a thicker rope for emergencies. Another good idea is to take about 2 m or so to make an equally stylish and handy survival bracelet. How-to videos can be easily found on Youtube. With such a bracelet you’ll always carry your potential lifesavers in different lengths with you,  without the risk of losing, forgetting or misplacing them. Nakatanenga Seat Pad You can always do better when it comes to comfort in the Great Outdoors and, hand on heart, is there anything more satisfying than making a home away from home for your family and loved ones? Camping and outdoor activities usually start tough and spartan but gradually you work your way back to comfort and coziness, especially when girlfriends, wives and daughters are part of the equation. And that’s where our comfortable, warm and highly practical seat covers come in. To be used on camping chairs, benches, tree stumps or even on the ground, you will get a lot more enjoyment out of your outdoor adventures and a lot less one-sided roasting around the campfire. Our Nakatanenga seat covers come in two varieties: one made with sustainable natural materials, the other with tough synthetics. Both cushion types are universal in their use, fold into a small bag and can be easily carried by their own handles. They have two distinct sides so that you can use them in different weather condition and surroundings just by flipping them over.  One side is warm and comfy, the other one more robust, water-resistant and easy to clean. This makes these seat covers extremely versatile, not only for sitting but also as warm and protective ground covers for little ones or your furry friends. The natural material variety is an Anglo-Bavarian combo. One side is stepped waxed cotton, as made popular by Barbour jackets, the other side is high quality natural Loden. The waxed cotton is extremely water repellant and dirt resistant. The Loden side is first and foremost warm and comfy. Due to its natural and gentle manufacturing process, the Loden still contains enough natural Lanolin from the sheep’s wool to give this material a certain degree of water resistance. Friends of natural materials will therefore not object to the subtle scent of Lanolin. This is part of Loden like wood smoke belongs to a campfire. The synthetic version features a sturdy, water-resistant side with Nylon PU-coating and a comfy side made from Loden. Mechanic Tarp  No plan without a tarp! You need them every now and then when you're on the road and often only have some poor makeshift solutions to hand: fraying fabric sheets, crumbling rubber mats, old carpets. That's bad! As we are known for not doing things by halves, our in-house tailoring department has come up with a multi-purpose tarpaulin that can really be used universally, again and again and in all situations: under the car, on the beach, at the shooting range or even on the yoga lawn - no problem at all. The Nakatanenga tarp made from lorry tarpaulin is robust, practical and well thought-out. PVC-coated polyester fabric makes it extremely tear-resistant, waterproof and UV-resistant. Rustproof eyelets are used at the corners to allow fastening with straps or elasticated cords. This means that our universal tarpaulin can also quickly be used as a windscreen cover for the winter. It is guaranteed to be cleaned quickly after use under the oil pan or a baby's bottom when changing nappies. The flexible material can be rolled up small and stowed away to save space in the car, bag or rucksack. The drawstring straps are sewn in, as is the carry handle. So nothing gets lost. Practical Side Extension for Nakatanenga Awnings Please note: The front panels are only suitable for 250 cm wide awnings. The front sections are crammed into the top of the awning and attached to the side of the pole poles (see pictures). The side panels are attached to the horizontal aluminium poles at the top and to the pole poles at the side. The side panels are suitable for all awning widths. We offer the side panels in pairs, the front panels individually. This practical extension for our awnings is ideal for travel and holidays and offers ideal protection from the sun, evening cold, rain and wind. It significantly increases the utility value of the Nakatanenga awning. The fabric is made of sturdy RipStop nylon (600den, with PU coating) and is therefore largely safe from mould and mildew stains. Nevertheless, a damp awning or the side walls should be dried after 2-3 days. These individual walls have been deliberately designed without additional windows and doors. Since the individual elements can be braced like tarps, openings in the surface would mean that the wind would push the rain under the opening covers and thus the areas underneath could not be used.
