If all you want from a belt is to hold your trousers up, you’re not thinking this through! Of course, you can do just that with our Tactical Bear Belt and its GT Cobra® buckle, but we’ve packed so much more into this tactical piece of gear: tons of functionality, strength and security combined with ultra-light weight materials. All of this is made possible by ingenious design and a choice of high performance synthetic components. First of all, there’s the nylon 45 mm belt strap in Tactical Bear quality. It’s designed to carry all the pouches, cases and holsters for all the gear you need outdoors, in rescue or security work, for hunting, construction, crafts, climbing etc. Survivalists and preppers especially will love this belt for its light weight, versatility and robustness. In emergencies, you can lift or carry with the strap, use it in first aid or even in self-defense. The strap is Made in Germany, complies with military standard MIL-SPEC W-4088 and will withstand break loads of up to 2.7 t. That’s a LOT of force for any survival situation. But the best belt strap is only worth as much as the buckle holding it together. Our Tactical Bear belt features nothing less than a patented GT Cobra® stab insert buckle by Austrian specialist AustriAlpin. Their Cobra® system is specifically designed for military, police, paramedics and alpine rescue purposes. The 50 mm GT Cobra® polymer buckles are manufactured in cooperation with ITW Nexus, the American market leader for tactical high-performance MIL-SPEC plastic buckles. That’s why the GT Cobra® contains no metal parts whatsoever but relies 100% on high strength polymer synthetics, making it ideal for outdoor use. It combines extreme strength and longevity with an ultra-light weight of only 65 g. As always with Cobra® products, inadvertent opening of the buckle is almost impossible: neither by mistake, because you have to press two buttons simultaneously, nor by exterior forces like pulling or tearing. This is due to the buckle’s interlocking snap insert design. Likewise, it is also next to impossible to lock the buckle improperly. A distinctive click sound will reassure you that the fastening mechanism is properly engaged. We have to emphasize, however, that due to its synthetic materials the GT Cobra® plastic buckles must not be used as part of personal protection or safety equipment. In contrast to Cobra® metal buckles, the plastic GT models have no certification for rescue, safety or mountaineering uses like rappelling for example. Our Tactial Bear belt is 1400 mm long and can be adjusted on one side. The other side features – as always with products from our own textile shop – extremely sturdy seams. We recommend to cut the strap to the desired length and seal the cut with a lighter flame. We supply detailed instructions and a lighter with every shipment. Oh, and by the way, did we mention that the olive-green and black Tactical Bear belt is also a fantastic and fashionable jeans belt? Get one and buckle up! Delivery: 1 x belt1 x lighter Color:Belt optional olive, black or coyote Length:1400 mm Safety warning: The GT Cobra® 100% polymer buckle has no PPE certificate (Personal Protective Equipment). It must not be used for health and safety relevant purposes, such as rescuing, rappelling, towing vehicles etc.

Kinetic mountain rope KERR If you are frequently recovering off-road vehicles stuck in mud, dirt or sand, kinetic recovery ropes are the ultimate solution. The decisive advantage these elastic synthetic ropes have over more rigid traditional straps or plastic ropes is their ability to store kinetic energy from the towing vehicle. This stored energy can build in the elastic rope and is then transferred continuously and smoothly to the trapped vehicle. Primarily, there are two positive effects when recovering cars or 4x4s with kinetic ropes. The rope’s elasticity compensates for sudden load peaks when the towing vehicle inadvertently jerks forward or transfers sudden jolts of force to the rope. This in turn means that the breaking strength of the rope won’t be tested as quickly and damages to vehicles or equipment are prevented. The second effect is that lighter vehicles can recover heavier ones, because the kinetic energy transferred from the towing vehicle can build in the rope until the resisting force is neutralized. The rope will stretch by an additional 30 to 35 %. The easiest method on both the rope and the vehicle recovery points is a slow and steady build-up of momentum until the rope snaps back and frees the trapped vehicle. Our rope allows for a safe temperature range from -70 to 99°C, which is highly superior to conventional ropes. Urethane-polymer coating makes our KINTO ropes highly water-, UV and abrasion-resistant. From a safety point of view, we would like to mention, though, that workload and breaking strength can be greatly reduced in damaged or overextended ropes. Taking good care of your rope is therefore highly recommended. Mesh carrying bag for mountain ropes Our robust and easy-to-clean Polyester mesh bag was initially developed by our Nakatanenga textile shop to hold the kinetic tow ropes. The big Kinto rope with 8 m length and 24 mm width fits perfectly into this 60 x 35 cm bag. Apart from the ropes, this mesh bag is absolutely perfect for everything else that comes dirty and dripping: sports shoes and hiking boots, rain gear, training equipment, water sports, you name it. Using mesh as the primary material for bag, also means much nicer handling in comparison to ordinary closed materials. You can quickly pack wet and dirty ropes and let them drain and dry in the bag. That way, there is no chance for trapped moisture to contribute to any material deterioration and unpleasant moldy smells. You can also use the mesh itself to grab and handle excessively dirty equipment without having to use your bare hands, if nothing else is available. That comes in especially handy in emergency recoveries on the road, because you’re never as likely to carry all the dirt into your car’s interior. After the job is done, you can easily hose down the rope within the bag. Robust seams, a quality zipper, wrap-around handles and two orange loops for hanging or securing make this mesh bag one tough and durable receptacle for all your rough gear. Strong window for strong ropes In the module chain from the winch to the hook, winch windows play an important but often underestimated part. Once you have opted for ultra-light but high-strength synthetic mountain equipment, the rope windows are indispensable for safe and comfortable use. But winch window is not the same as winch window: a quality product improves handling and extends the service life of the ropes even more. That's why we now set up our own Nakatanenga winch window made of hard anodized aluminum. Harteloxal is an electrolytically produced outer layer which, in addition to improved wear, corrosion and UV protection, also achieves excellent sliding properties. With these characteristics, the rope window conforms to military standard MIL-A-8625F TYPE III. In addition, our winch window is also significantly lower than many other products on the market. This guarantees a smaller bending angle when the rope is rolled up. This protects the synthetic fibers and ensures that dirt is wiped well before the rope winds on the roll. The Nakatanenga winch window can be ordered bundled with the 30m synthetic rope in gray or orange, with or without winch hooks. Material: aluminum, hard anodizedColor: dark grayHole spacing: 10 inches / 254 mm The Nakatanenga winch rope is available in gray or orange. In the bundle, the rope is also available with the matching winch hook and winch window made of hard anodised aluminum - the bundle can be found here.

Anyone who has opted for high-performance synthetic materials for mountain equipment will benefit from cascading solutions. One steel part after the other can be replaced in the module chain with lightweight and synthetics. With the decision to use a synthetic winch rope, the classic deflection pulley, with its wearing parts, the high weight and the tendency to get stuck, also had its day. With so-called NMP pulleys - "No Moving Parts" - nothing rolls anymore. In principle, it is only a rope guide block, through which synthetic ropes glide easily, even under high loads, due to the low frictional resistance. This does NOT work with steel cables! Our Nakatanenga Heavy Duty pulley made of hard anodized aluminum for ropes from 8-14 mm is manufactured according to military standard MIL-A-8625F TYPE III, has a breaking load of 18 t and weighs only 1.65 kg. The large radius of the "reel" is particularly important in the off-road area, since dirt and foreign objects cannot easily affect the cable routing. The NMP roll is fastened with the supplied 10 mm thick soft shackle with a breaking strength of up to 12 t, optionally in gray or orange. You can also order the pulley individually, without shackles.

Nakatanenga Soft Shackle 10 mm – Breaking Strength 12,000 kg In principle, soft shackles are incredibly low tech: They are simple rope loops with a stopper knot and a fixed noose. The shackle is held together and tightened by the very load it is meant to hold and is easily opened or fastened. Maybe it is the very simplicity of the concept that accounts for some users’ skepticism and lets them stick to steel shackles even when using synthetic rope. But a rope shackle’s advantages are huge: there is hardly any risks for injury, very little weight, no tools necessary, no corrosion, no scratching or denting of vehicle or equipment parts und no bending or jamming under load. As with all synthetic ropes, extra caution should be taken to avoid friction damage, fraying, heat and contact with chemicals. The rope shackles are available in grey and orange. Accessory kit for winches Whether as an accessories kit for winching enthusiasts or as handy emergency pack on overlanding trips, our Nakatanenga winching packages contain everything you need when you’re stuck in a rut. You have the choice between a steel version, primarily for steel cables, or the lightweight pack made from synthetics and aluminum, exclusively designed for synthetic winch ropes. Both varieties basically consist of the same components: two recovery straps, a pulley or block, shackles, protective gloves and a bag. The steel rope kit contains two steel shackles, a foldable snatch block with a work load WLL of 3.5 tons and a shoulder bag made from 100 % cotton. The synthetic kit boasts an NMP pulley made from Eloxal coated aluminum, three soft shackles and the Nakatanenga tool bag coated in robust and waterresistant Nylon PU. Straps Key items in the accessory kits are two 77 mm wide, high quality recovery straps. Made from polyamides, these straps come in lengths of 2 and 8 m and have a breaking strength of up to 9 tons. By design, the short strap is also a perfect tree trunk protector. FYI: The long strap is a new addition to the steel set and does not fit the cotton bag. It has to be stored separately. Shackles The recovery straps feature end loops strengthened by machine sewn Polyester coats. The 10 mm soft shackles in orange or gray are fixed through these end loops or “eyes”. The kit contains two soft shackles for this purpose and another one to fix the NMP block. The synthetic shackles are ultra-light and with a breaking strength of up to 12 t extremely loadable. As always, synthetics means little danger of injury, easy handling, no corrosion and no damaging of vehicle and equipment. The steel kit on the other hand uses traditional steel shackles with screw bolts. Pulleys The pulleys or blocks in the two kits differ considerably in design, material and usage. In the synthetics kit, the NMP block made from hard, Eloxal coated aluminum is fixed by a soft shackle and is exclusively meant to be used with plastic winch ropes of 8 to 14 mm thickness. Produced to military standards, this block has a breaking strength of 18 t and weighs only 1.65 kg. WARNING: Again, the NMP pulley must not be used with steel cables. If you are using steel cables, please choose the other kit with the metal snatch block. Our construction of high-strength 6 mm galvanised steel and a 15 mm polymer pulley accepts any type of mountain rope between 8 - 13 mm: Synthetic, plasma and steel ropes. The working load of the pulley is 9,000 lbs or just over 4 t, the breaking load is 19,300 lbs or over 8.7 t and is best suited for steel ropes. Bags The synthetics kit comes in our robust, high quality Nakatanenga tool bag. It’s flexible, very lightweight and uses just as much storage space as the actual contents. That makes it ideal for quick, compact packing and easy transport of all your winching and recovery equipment. Shackles and smaller item fit into separate pockets inside. The steel kit can be stowed in the cotton shoulder bag, with the exception of the long strap. Gloves Last but not least, both sets come with a pair of protective gloves, made from elastic synthetic materials. These sturdy gloves feature grippy Almara plastic leather in the palm area and are not available separately, unlike the rest of the contents.
