The leaves only touch in three places: In the centre, where they are attached to the axle, and at the outer ends, where they are attached to the vehicle. Between these points, the leaves do not touch, unlike conventional leaf springs.Since in the Parabolic spring a spring tapers from the wide centre to the outer ends, a single leaf acts like a complete spring - the thickness of the spring changes according to a parabola and provides a constant distribution of tension. Each leaf has more or less the shape of a complete multi-leaf spring and can therefore withstand a comparable force. The high quality OEM parabolic springs are paired with Cellular Dynamic shock absorbers. Also included in the kit are leaf spring correction wedges that can be used to correct caster or diff bolt angle by 3 degrees. The parabolic springs include u-bolts and nuts.
