The VIAIR 400P EF Digital is the next evolution of the proven 400P platform for anyone looking to inflate large tyres quickly, accurately and with maximum convenience. It combines the high airflow performance of the 400P series with VIAIR Enhanced Flow Technology, digital pressure control and automatic shut-off once the preset tyre pressure has been reached.

This is particularly useful in off-road applications: after airing down the tyres for driving on sand, gravel or rough terrain, simply select the required target pressure before returning to the road. The digital display shows both the current tyre pressure and the selected target pressure at the same time. The compressor then takes care of the inflation process and stops automatically once the preset pressure has been reached – eliminating the need to constantly check the gauge and switch the compressor off manually.

The 400P EF Digital is designed for high airflow and fast inflation of high-volume tyres. VIAIR Enhanced Flow Technology optimises airflow, while the redesigned compressor head improves heat dissipation. With an airflow of up to 73.3 l/min at 0 bar, this portable 12V compressor has plenty of performance even for large off-road tyres.

The 400P EF Digital is also particularly well equipped for typical off-road use away from paved roads: its 6-stage air filter muffler helps keep dust and debris out of the intake air – an important advantage on dry tracks, gravel roads and in sandy environments. At the same time, airflow remains impressive. VIAIR Enhanced Flow Technology delivers up to 73.3 l/min at 0 bar despite the sophisticated air filtration system. This means the 400P EF Digital combines effective air filtration for demanding off-road conditions with the high airflow required to inflate large-volume off-road tyres quickly.

Another major advantage on large 4x4, off-road and overland vehicles is the 7.6 m coiled air hose. Its reach is sufficient on most large off-road vehicles to access all four tyres from a single compressor position. The compressor can therefore remain in one place while all four tyres are inflated one after another, without having to move the unit each time. The clip-and-lock air chuck simply pushes onto the tyre valve for a quick and secure connection – particularly useful when all four tyres need to be brought back up to road pressure after an off-road section.

An integrated LED work light provides additional visibility when operating the compressor in the dark. A flashing red warning light mode is also available for roadside emergencies. With IP54 protection, a robust I-Beam base plate and a heavy-duty utility carry bag, the 400P EF Digital is built for demanding mobile use.

• 315/75 R16: from 0.7 to 2.8 bar in approx. 4 min. 56 sec.
• 315/85 R16: from 0.7 to 2.8 bar in approx. 5 min. 30 sec.

For comparison, the widely used European 4x4 tyre size 265/75 R16 has an overall diameter of only around 31.6 inches. VIAIR's reference measurements therefore relate to considerably larger and higher-volume off-road tyres and provide a practical indication of the tyre sizes the 400P EF Digital is designed to handle.

The stated inflation times are based on VIAIR's reference tyre sizes of 35 x 12.5 R15 and 37 x 12.5 R15. For the European market, these have been converted to approximately comparable metric tyre sizes. Actual tyre dimensions and inflation times may vary depending on tyre manufacturer, tyre volume, temperature and operating conditions.
