The familiar appearance of the vehicle is thus not changed much and essentially still looks like “OE“. The illumination level of the new NCC 7“ Bi-LED headlight is equally good as that of a Xenon headlight. However, the new NOLDEN headlight system has the big advantage of a lower current consumption, which increases the life of the system significantly thus noticeably lowering the operating costs. In a normal case it can be expected that the life of the NCC 7“ Bi-LED headlight is much longer than that of the vehicle. The ligths don't require headlight adjustment or the headlight cleaning system of the Xenon system, retrofitting with the new NCC 7“ Bi-LED headlight is therefore much easier, faster and in the end less expensive than is the case with the Xenon headlights. Nakatanenga 8 mm Aluminium Skid Plate, Black Powder-Coated, for Land Rover New Defender from 2020 No serious 4x4 with off-road ambitions should be without proper underbody protection in the front and engine area. Rocks, gravel, branches, washed-out tracks, steep banks and many other obstacles can quickly damage the oil sump, mechanical components, radiator, fluid lines or electrical systems during demanding off-road use. On the Land Rover New Defender in particular, the exposed underside of the vehicle deserves proper protection. Our Nakatanenga skid plate for the Land Rover New Defender from model year 2020 (L663) is clearly superior to the original Land Rover version. In terms of size, shape and position, both are largely comparable – but here comes the key difference: the Nakatanenga protection plate is made from 8 mm thick aluminium! Compared with the 5 mm OEM part, that means a substantial 60% increase in material thickness. The solid aluminium plate protects the particularly exposed front and engine area in the event of ground contact and is designed for demanding off-road use. Despite its substantial material thickness, aluminium remains an excellent choice for robust underbody protection: only approx. 10 kg in weight despite the massive 8 mm material thickness and high strength. And that’s not all: our skid plate is not only more robust and resistant, it even beats the OEM accessory on price. More protection, less cost – exactly how it should be. No compromises are made when it comes to the surface finish either: the entire protection plate is high-quality black powder-coated. A special automotive-grade powder coating for exterior vehicle applications is used. The coating is applied by a specialist company in our region. GDW hitch bracket with 13-pin Erich Jaeger E set The New Defender L663 (from MY 2019) is not only an extraordinary off-road vehicle, it also packs a remarkable punch. The wide variety of engines from Diesel and petrol to PHEV deliver between 200 and 525 HP and 400 to 650 Nm torque. Its power makes the new Landy the ultimate towing vehicle up to 3.5t towing capacity. And the fact, that the trailer hitch –  whether detachable or electrically deployable –  has to be ordered as an extra, is not really a disadvantage. When configuring your New Defender it’s probably best to skip this feature and get a heavy duty towbar like the one from GDW with its 13-pin electric connector kit by Erich Jaeger. The advantages of the GDW trailer hitch are obvious: A 4-bolt mounting plate will fit the included towball hitch but also any other type of coupling, the GDW coupling block comes at a much more competitive price than the OEM parts. Installation and road use do not need to be technically certified, by the way. The GDW towbar was custom-designed specifically for the New Defender. It comes with detailed assembly instructions and a complete electrics kit. Installing the towbar will take approximately 3 hours. Please note:The GDW towbar may interfere with the sensors of the vehicle’s parking aid. If you rely on this system, you should use the original tow bar. Seat cover for Land Rover New Defender 110/130, driver and passenger side This isn’t off-the-peg, this is made to measure! If you’re looking for seat covers for the New Defender – the front seats to be precise – look no further than our seat protectors made from durable, and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon 6.6. The seat covers were developed by us in our own tailor's workshop  – guaranteeing highest functionality and best workmanship. To ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with the climate technologies in your seats, the covers feature breathable mesh fabric on the actual sitting surface. And even though it is mesh, it will still protect the seat from dirt and moisture. To achieve a perfect fit, the one-piece cover is tightly tailored and does not require zippers or similar. Simply pull it over the seat, Velcro the top part underneath the headrest and close the sturdy straps and buckles on the underside. Additionally, a mesh pocket with a rubber foam piece inside is wedged into the gap between backrest and seat surface to prevent the cover from sliding. On the sides, openings in the cover allow easy access to the headrest controls. As with all our textile products, we always aim to add additional storage space. Generously sized MOLLE patches on the sides as well as large pockets in the rear of the backrest and the front rail of the seat make it very easy to store everyday items and small pieces of equipment temporarily or permanently. These seat covers have NO! Recess for this lever.  This article was designed in our in-house tailor shop. A dedicated team and short distances allow for continuous quality control and further development of our textile products. And if you already have a tailor's workshop in house, then it is easy to also accept customer change requests, special designs, suggestions and proposals for improvement at short notice and to implement them as far as possible. Mail or phone call is all it takes! And by the way: For this product, we use nylon fabric with a polyurethane (PU) coating. Both the fabric and its coating are PVC-free. Flexible PVC materials may contain phthalate-based plasticisers, some of which are legally restricted due to their potential health risks. That's why we deliberately avoid PVC in this product and opt for a high-quality PU coating instead – a more expensive alternative for us, but one we've consciously chosen.
