Solar panel for bonnet Next generation solar cells are increasingly integrated into structural components. Instead of separate, awkwardly mounted modules on the roof of a house, for example, the roof tiles themselves function as solar panels. Our PV modules for the hoods of 4x4s and vans follow this principle. While they do not yet replace the hood, they are so thin (only 3 mm) and so flexible that they precisely fit the shape of the hood – making them hard to recognize as an extra add-on. In addition, they are also extremely aerodynamic and robust enough to even step on them if needed. The hood modules for Defenders Td5 and Td4, New Defender, Jimny 2, Mercedes G-Class and Sprinter have an output of between 75 and 90 W at 12 V, depending on the model. Your only requirement is sufficient sunlight to generate enough power for the primary and secondary batteries in the car during the day. Re-usable Face Masks with Changeable Filters Made in Germany In the West, we can take a lot of inspiration from the East when it comes to preventing the spread of infections for oneself and others. In Asia, face masks are an integral part of everyday life. Often still frowned upon in our culture, the experience during the lockdown has made us more pragmatic, not the least due to recommendations by the Robert-Koch-Institute or various international medical associations. According to many experts, even simple home-made masks without FFP2/3 certification can significantly reduce the risk of becoming infected and, more importantly, to spread infections to others.The Nakatanenga face mask is extremely robust, reusable, made of mesh on the outside and a replaceable 3-layer filter layer on the inside. The mesh material of the mask wearer is normally used in rucksacks and many of our bags, so it is extremely resistant, but on its own without any protective effect. The fleece for the filter inserts comes from industry, but is free of chemical pollutants and does not put additional strain on the organism. The inner lining is made from original Coolmax®, usually applied in sports and outdoor clothes. Coolmax® is skin-friendly, fast drying and wicks away moisture. The anatomic fit and an adaptable rubber cord with a stopper make this mask very comfortable to wear, thereby increasing the protective effect.The mix of high-quality materials and the design based on expert recommendations lets us offer a long lived and robust mask for repeated use, made in EU. In the 21st Century modern technology is everywhere, even off-road and off the grid, but more often than not there is no power when you're out and about on some trail in some country.
One option is the classic cigarret-lighter as a power source, but in using this frequently you risk decharging your battery to a point where it won't start your car anymore. Another option would be a generator, but those are loud, impractical and noisy. To solve this probem highly portable powerbanks were invented, but for a multiple day long trip a small powerbank just won't cut it.
So, what if you had a lagre but portable power bank? One you could simply charge, even off the grid, maybe with a solar panel? And one that is heavy dut enough to endure week long trips and years of use ?
Hold on, that's exactly what we did! This compact, but long-lasting Powerstation (33Ah) offers a cigaret lighter-output and two USB-ports (5V - 2.1A), in a roubust shell. It can simply be charged using our solar panels by Optimate.
LiFePo4 batteries – with their lithium iron phosphate cathode material – are perfect for running your camping or work utilities on the road, especially in conjunction with our mobile battery boxes. Unlike your conventional AGM lead-acid technology, the lithium battery combines vastly superior charging/discharging qualities with extremely low weight and small volume, respectively, and a long service life. LiFePo4 batteries tolerate deep discharging without problems, unlike AGM batteries which will suffer irreparable damage when repeatedly discharged beyond 50%. Unless you require the greater tolerance for extreme cold in AGM’s, you should definitely consider the higher initial costs of LiFePo4 batteries and compatible chargers. Enormous weight and space reductions, the long life-cycle and the hassle-free charging and discharging of the battery are strong arguments for the investment. And last but not least: LiFePo4-technology is extremely safe.
