Battery recharging & charge retention Perhaps this situation sounds familiar to you: You are standing on the beach in your camper and leave the car radio on for a long time or open the door frequently. Suddenly, the vehicle battery management system reports that the (starter) battery is running low and the radio switches off or the battery needs to be charged. This is often caused by high power consumption by the vehicle radio or vehicle control systems, which are active for a while every time the door is opened and consume a relatively large amount of power from the starter battery. While all VOTRONIC mains chargers, solar charge controllers and combination chargers have a power-reduced auxiliary charging output in addition to the powerful main charging output, which supplies the starter battery with a defined trickle charge, many conventional devices unfortunately do not have this at all. This can be remedied by a so-called stand-by charger. Charging technology at the highest level The battery is the central element of a vehicle's electrical system. It requires the greatest attention, maintenance and care and, above all, it must be charged correctly. Modern lithium (LiFePO4) batteries have a significantly higher open-circuit voltage than starter batteries (lead, AGM). When using simple, unregulated and uncontrolled standby chargers, this leads to the complete discharge of the lithium supply battery. For this reason, the Standby Charger (item no. 3065 or 6065) is unfortunately not suitable for these batteries. The VOTRONIC StandBy Charger Pro, on the other hand, has an adjustable undervoltage limit at the input. Charging is interrupted if the voltage falls below this limit. This means that it can be operated on a modern lithium (LiFePO4) battery as a supply battery without any problems and without running the risk of draining it completely. Charging converter for recharging and charge retention of the starter battery IU charging characteristic Adjustable end-of-charge voltage of 12.5 - 14.5 V Upward and downward conversion from input to output voltage possible Also works if the voltage of the battery to be supplied is lower than that of the battery to be charged Input-side adjustable switch-off threshold of 12 - 14 V prevents deep discharge of the battery connected on the input side Suitable for lead, gel, AGM and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries on both the input and output sides High output current of max. 8 A Passive cooling without fan Two independent 12V control inputs: "EN" (enable), to activate "DIS" (disable) to deactivate Standby charger can thus be switched on externally via switch and switched off, for example, by D+ while driving 2 LEDs provide information about the operating status Safe to operate due to built-in overheating protection Dimensions (WxLxH): 105mm x 71mm x 25mm Weight: 92g

HBC Dual battery monitor The dual battery monitor is ideal for monitoring 2 separate batteries (starter and consumer battery). Available with matching plugs and wiring harness for LAND ROVER DEFENDER with 12 V dual battery system as a surface-mounted or built-in version. Nakatanenga has the exclusive distribution rights for the dual battery monitor in Europe. The digital technology used in these monitors makes it possible to accurately reproduce the non-linear characteristics of lead-acid batteries. Using the green button in the centre, you can switch the information output on the display from one battery to the next. The dual battery monitor emits an audible alarm/tone as soon as the battery is either overcharged (14.8 V and above) or over-discharged (12.2 V and below). The dual battery monitor has been specially developed to be combined with the Cyrix-ct intelligent automatic cut-off relay. Link function: If you press and hold the green button on the dual battery monitor for 10 seconds, both batteries are forcibly switched in parallel for a few minutes, which is particularly useful when operating a winch or when the starter battery is too low (only possible in combination with the Cyrix-ct cut-off relay). Features of the BM2000 dual battery monitor: Warning in the event of overcharging or excessive discharge reverse polarity protection Acoustic alarm (can be muted) Energy-saving functions (automatic dimming of the screen depending on the ambient light, automatic sleep function = auto-sleep 10-30 minutes after the battery stops running) screws and a template with the distances of the necessary drill holes are included with the built-in version 3 m long cable Operating elements summarised: Single button press (green button) = Change information output (from battery 1 to battery 2) = Mute active alarm. Press and hold button for 3 seconds = Switch alarm off/on permanently Press and hold button for 10 seconds = Link function: Switch batteries in parallel for 30 seconds via the separately available cut-off relay (jump start) -> Only possible in combination with the Cyrix-ct cut-off relay Alarm function: - Level 1 = as soon as 14.8 V is exceeded or 12.2 V is not reached: beeps every 10 seconds, screen lights up - Level 2 = as soon as 15.0 V is exceeded or 12.0 V falls below: beeps every 1/2 second, screen lights up -> as soon as the alarm goes off, you can mute it by lightly pressing the green button Specifications: Dimensions: 69.5 x 50.5 x 20 mm (surface-mounted version) ; 85.5 x 66.5 x 20 mm (built-in version) Weight: 130 g incl. cable Low-voltage warning: DC voltage below 12.2 V Over-charge warning: DC voltage above 14.8 V

Cyrix-ct relay - Smart charging system for two batteries in off-road or camper operation Electronically operated relay for simultaneous charging of two batteries (e.g. starting- and board-battery). The relay is installed between the two batteries, it stays disconnected until one of the batteries reaches a predetermined voltage level. Now the relay connects the two and both are fully charged. This method ensures that even when only using the vehicles for short distances, the starter battery is always ready to go. Additionally, the Cyrix-ct software monitors the tendencies of the voltage levels and then optimizes the delay accordingly. 12/24 V Automatic: The Cyrix-ct relay automatically recognizes the voltage and adjusts the output. Heat protection: The Cyrix disconnects when he recognizes temperatures exceeding the optimal operating temperature and shuts off accordingly, the relay connects automatically once the temperature has fallen again. Once you turn off your motor and the alternator no longer charges the batteries, they are automatically disconnected to spare the starter battery for when you want to get going again. As soon as the voltage falls, the relay allows for a short delay in the disconnect to keep the batteries from overloading. The Cyrix-ct operates based on past charging patterns and only deviates from these when changes to this pattern appear within a certain interval. The duration of the delay depends on the pattern of deviation in voltage.
