Peltonen M07 Ranger Puukko Extreme conditions demand a lot from man and equipment, but they also regularly produce something special. This certainly applies to Peltonen Knives from Finland. Their inventor Juha-Pekka Peltonen learned to appreciate US Army knives when he served as military observer in the heat of the Lebanon. Peltonen decided to combine their features with traditional Finnish knifemaking skills to create Ranger knives for colder latitudes and northern forests. Now, Peltonen all-purpose knives like the M07 are NATO-coded and are used by the military, special forces, hunters, outdoor and bushcraft enthusiasts far beyond Finland. The all-purpose Peltonen Ranger knives are designed with a focus on safe handling, excellent ergonomics and top-grade materials. The blades are forged from scale-free carbon steel (80CrV2), which is particularly suitable for making robust knives used in tactical operations, hunting or survival. This steel is extremely resilient, even if you hack with the knife or work on very hard materials. A Teflon coating (PTFE) protects the blade from rust and prevents the accumulation of dirt or other organic matters. The knife is also certified for food safety, which may be of special importance to hunters or fishermen. The ergonomic handles of the Ranger knives are made of abrasion-resistant, pleasant-to-touch TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). The material is insensitive to temperature and does not absorb any moisture - especially in northern latitudes, when your fingers are often cold and wet, an absolute must-have for safe and precise handling. The sheath, made of nearly indestructible, dirt- and water-repellent composite plastic, is equally suitable for the left- or right-handed and features an EasyLock mechanism that holds the M07 securely in the sheath, but still allows for quick drawing, even one-handed. The M07 is 25 cm long overall and sports a 11.9 cm blade. With its textured grip, the M07 is an excellent all-purpose knife for tactical use, survival or hunting - true to the Peltonen motto: The only knife you’ll ever need! The blade length complies with German regulations and makes it legal to carry in Germany. With a total weight of 180 g, it is light enough to be carried in outdoor and hiking luggage without sacrificing versatility and robustness. Titanium spoon and fork sets The Titans were the giants in the pantheon of the Greeks and if you are in the great outdoors working up a giant appetite for Greek, Italian or otherwise, look no further than our spoon and fork sets made from titanium. Titanium is the metal of choice for outdoor kitchen utensils. Light cutlery for heavy meals, if you will. Being harder than steel, titanium allows for extremely thin manufacture of cutlery, plates, mugs and so forth while maintaining incredible robustness and durability. As a result, titanium utensils are generally even lighter than their aluminum equivalents. Another great advantage is the fact that titanium is not prone to be affected by acidity like aluminum. If you are concerned to ingest leached aluminum when eating fruit, salads or other acidic food, you can rest easy when choosing titanium. The titanium spoon and fork combos can be purchased as sets of one, two or three each. The design is timeless, functional and ergonomic, just as you’d expect from great outdoor gear. They save space by fitting into one another and feature holes in the handle for hanging off hooks, carabiners or lines. Easily cleaned, they can be stored in any mobile storage. If you want to be inspired, take a look at our space and weight saving solution for family picnic, camping kitchen or your next expedition: the Tool Roll Mini Hungry Titan, featuring 6 fork/spoon sets, 6 knives and a WMF cutting knife. Dining around a campfire doesn’t get better than that. Available as a set with 1, 2 or 3 forks and spoons.

Swiss Pioneer Pick with Bag It’s not only watches and pocket knives that the Swiss do really, really well, they also know a thing or two about cruder tools. This pickaxe for example is used by the Swiss army engineer corps and it’s both extremely well-made and versatile. You can use it for all kinds of outdoor activities, as off-road equipment and much more. The forged steel head offers a point and a flat blade for all kinds of digging work required in a camp, e.g. making a fire pit, digging rain trenches around your tent or cracking ice in winter. When compared to a foldable army spade, this traditional pick offers considerable advantages. Especially on very hard or stony ground, digging with a folding spade is often difficult or even impossible. The army spade’s folding hinges limit the force that can be exerted and they also tend to get damaged or worn-out. In contrast, the pickaxe’s simple design means that the physical force is concentrated on a very small area at the tip or the blade. That makes the pickaxe your tool of choice, especially when it comes to harder surfaces. And besides, most outdoor digging tasks don’t involve removing huge amounts of soil. In most cases, loosening and scraping will suffice and for that the Swiss army pick is ideal. With its length of roughly 30 cm for the head and 52 cm for the high-quality wooden shaft and its overall weight of only 1.3 kg approximately, this pickaxe is both easy to pack and to transport. A sturdy roll-up bag made from PU-coated nylon keeps the pick always neatly stowed and guarantees that your other equipment won’t get soiled or damaged. The pointy or sharp ends of the pick’s head are protected by a separate pouch. The roll-up bag is easy to clean and features Velcro strips and click buckles to secure it. A strong handle, finally, makes for easy carrying. Technical data: Pointed and flat hoe with wooden handle 2-part, dismountable Hoe length: 30cm Length of sieve: 52cm Net weight: 1,3 kg Material bag: Nylon PU-coated

Survival cord 1.7 mm, 4 different colors „His life was hanging by a thread” – everybody knows the phrase to describe situations where survival is at stake. Luckily, modern synthetic high-performance threads make these circumstances much less precarious as the phrase suggests. So why not rely on strings or cords made from such threads in your wilderness adventures? If you regularly encounter extreme outdoor conditions in your hobby or your job, you need light, durable and multi-purpose equipment which gives you the most performance per pound. Apart from a good knife, a length of good string is part of the absolute essentials in Bushcraft. Among other things, our Survival Cord will help you (in alphabetical order) to attach, carry, clean, dress wounds, fasten, fish, girdle, guide, hang, hunt, label, patch, repair, rig, save, saw, secure, signal, splice, splint, thread, tie, tow, trap, warn, weave and much, much more. The Nakatanenga cord sports a Kernmantle-style structure, an extremely light yet highly tearproof synthetic material, which, incidentally, we also use in our heavy duty winch cables. But in contrast to these ropes, the Survival Cord is only an astonishing 1.7 mm thin, while still boasting a breaking load of incredible 250 kg. That is more or less the weight for standard survival paracords, which in turn are usually more than twice as thick, though. Carry our Nakatanenga cord with you and it’ll be a load off your mind. You can use the 33 m length of string in your survival pouch or backpack to weave a thicker rope for emergencies. Another good idea is to take about 2 m or so to make an equally stylish and handy survival bracelet. How-to videos can be easily found on Youtube. With such a bracelet you’ll always carry your potential lifesavers in different lengths with you, without the risk of losing, forgetting or misplacing them. The ends can be easily sealed with a match or lighter, positively preventing the threads to fray. Another advantage of synthetic fibers. The Nakatanenga Survival Cord (33 m) comes in Black, Orange, Olive and Coyote.

Tool Roll Hungry Mini - now also with WMF chef's knife - FREE! With this additional chef's knife, all common cutting tasks can be carried out effortlessly: The larger chef's knife is ideal for slicing and chopping solid ingredients, while the smaller preparation knife is perfect for finer work. Both knives impress with their long-lasting sharpness and hardened blades made of stainless, acid-resistant special steel, which is also coated. The ergonomically shaped handles fit perfectly in the hand and offer a secure grip. Thanks to the practical protective blade covers, the knives can be stored safely and space-savingly in the cutlery drawer. Tool Roll Hungry Edition, incl. Camping Cutlery The Defender represents English cultural heritage, just like a scrumptious picnic with cucumber sandwiches and Scotch Eggs. At Nakatanenga we thought, that’s not just a very good combination on a country estate in Somerset, but anywhere, really, where the Great Outdoors meets fine dining. And that’s why we’ve equipped our tried and tested Tool Roll with exquisite cutlery: et voilà, the Tool Roll Hungry Edition was born, available in Mini, Maxi and Titan! Instead of the usual camping sets with tin bowls, plastic sporks and aluminium knives, we offer stainless steel cutlery in the Tool Roll Hungry Edition Mini and Maxi as well as high-quality WMF cutting knives with heat-resistant and ergonomically shaped plastic handles. The Mini-set is designed for four people and the Maxi Edition for six, with a chopping board and a four-piece cooking spoon set made from durable bamboo. If you have to watch the weight of your equipment or you’re generally fascinated by great materials, the Tool Roll Hungry Mini Titan is the one for you. Being harder than steel, titanium allows for extremely thin manufacture of cutlery, plates, mugs and so forth while maintaining incredible robustness and durability. As a result, titanium utensils are generally even lighter than their aluminium equivalents, while providing all the health-related and hygienic advantages of stainless steel. The titanium fork and spoon sets can also be purchased separately. Whether you go for stainless steel or titanium, everything fits neatly into the space-saving roll-up bags made of durable nylon. Carrying strap and loops on the underside of the Maxi-Roll expand transport and combination options. And of course, the 12 pocket slots still provide space for other essential items. Can opener, corkscrew or maybe just the lobster tongs? No matter how you roll food-wise, whether it’s hot dogs or Foie Gras for you, the Tool Roll Hungry Edition is an unbeatably practical piece "Home from Home" for campers, off-roaders and foodies. Nylon PU (polyurethanes) is, unlike PVC, free from harmful phthalate-based plasticizers. Low molecular weight phthalates were until recently the most common plasticizers for plastics of all kinds, and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are due to their molecular nature suspected of acting as the body's own hormones. This is toxicologically highly questionable and is considered the trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it goes without saying that when it comes to coating textile products, it is only possible to use environmentally friendly and harmless alternatives such as nylon PU.Further keywords for this item: toolroll, tool-roll, tool roll
