Complete set of AUTOTERM Air 2D parking heater for Defender The parking heater set AUTOTERM (Planar) 2D12 for the Land Rover Defender consists of all important components needed for the installation of a parking heater. The AUTOTERM (=Planar) 2D12 is equipped with an altitude kit.This means that the heater automatically reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heat output decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly speaking, from 2,000 metres the loss of output per 500 m altitude is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3,440 m were trouble-free. Up to 4,000 m no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not yet be tested at real altitude. Important:Especially when used at high altitude, the free travel of the fan is extremely important!Route the combustion air intake and exhaust extremely short and with low resistance - i.e. no kinks, no blockage or reduction. It should also be noted that operation beyond 3,000 m is still a technical compromise. Again, care should be taken to ensure that the combustion chamber is properly heated on a regular basis. The chamber must be burnt free of soot deposits. Soot deposits can also form on heaters that are permanently operated at the lowest setting. Therefore, the following still applies: No guarantee for sooty combustion chambers!In order to ensure the longevity of the heater, you should also free-burn it occasionally at low levels. The combustion chamber reaches full temperature after running at full load for about half an hour. Normally, no further maintenance is required. In case of extreme loads, e.g. during longer overnight stays at more than 4,000 m, the combustion chamber including the seal set should be cleaned if necessary. Wear kit with tank extraction and exhaust pipe for AUTOTERM Air 2D / 4D For our portable heater boxes, we only use AUTOTERM (previously Planar) Diesel heaters. After assembly, we are usually left with unused accessories and spare parts from the original AUTOTERM delivery, so we decided to bundle them as wear and tear replacement kits for only 20 € incl. Tank-mounted fuel intake pipe The 60 cm tank-mounted fuel intake pipe is perfect for our diesel heaters by Autoterm, but will also suit most other products like Webasto or Eberspächer. It will work with both diesel and gasoline on either air or water heated systems and it doesn’t matter whether your tank is plastic or metal. To fit the intake pipe, it is generally necessary to remove the fuel tank and its fittings. After drilling a hole for the intake pipe, the connector head has to be countered with a nut from the inside. That’s why access to the tank’s interior through the intake opening is a must. The flexible riser pipe can be bent into any shape, making it easy to determine the extraction level for the heater. Make sure that the opening of the pipe doesn’t reach all the way to the bottom of the tank, otherwise you’ll risk complete emptying of your fuel tank and the unwanted intake of dirt particles or tank sludge. The tank extraction is ideally suited for our Planar parking heaters.

Fuel filler nozzle for Land Rover Defender Td5 2.5, Td4 2.4 and Td4 2.2 The fuel extractor for the Land Rover Defender 90/110/130 Td5 2.5, Td4 2.4 and Td4 2.2 enables the auxiliary heater to be supplied with diesel without the time-consuming and labour-intensive removal of the fuel tank.The fuel is extracted by looping the extractor into the hose between the vehicle's fuel nozzle and tank and is therefore possible without removing or drilling into the tank. The fuel dispenser is suitable for various parking heaters, including Webasto Airtop 2000 and Eberspächer Airtronic D2.The fuel filler cap can be flexibly bent, allowing you to control whether the parking heater can completely empty the vehicle's tank or whether a fuel reserve should remain. Fuel pick-up unit
When retrofitting a Diesel heater in your car, the most difficult part is connecting the fuel pick-up line to the car’s Diesel tank. Our fuel pick-up unit simplifies this step greatly, as there is no need to de-install the tank or drill holes in it.
The fuel pick-up unit is inserted in the fuel filler hose between filler neck and the tank, a modification suitable for most Diesel vehicles with a hose diameter of 42 mm, as is the case with the Ford Transit Custom for example. We also have a version for classic Defenders (up to MY 2016) with 59 mm available.
By bending the flexible fuel pick-up line, you can set a specific level to which the heater can empty the tank, whether completely or up to a certain reserve level.
The fuel pick-up unit will work with a wide variety of Diesel heaters, like the Webasto Airtop 2000 or Eberspächer Airtronic D2. It is ideal in combination with our AUTOTERM (Planar) heaters.
