The newly developed, modular Nakatanenga Tool Roll owes its added value to our experience as an off-roader, screwdriver and also as a fan of tactical equipment. The clou are big velcro surfaces on the baseplate. So our tool roll can be equipped arbitrarily and is extremely flexible in use. Depending on the set, up to six tool bags (sizes M and S) can be attached. So you take with you only the tool sets that are really needed. For better clarity, the individual pockets can be color-coded via the zip puller. Fluorescent, writable ID patches help to identify the content, even in the dark. And we also thought about it: Loose bits and pieces find their place in the sewn-in mesh pockets. The Tool Roll rolls up clean even with maximum placement and is quickly closed or opened with two clip closures. Carrying handle and shoulder strap facilitate transport. When deployed, the Toll Roll on the D-rings (two or three depending on size) is hung on the wall, on the vehicle or on the tree in the field. Robust, high-quality nylon is our material of choice to guarantee long life even with hard use. Nylon PU (polyurethanes) is, unlike PVC, free from harmful phthalate-based plasticizers. Versatile folding bowl from our tailor shop Few things are really indispensable when camping, backpacking or during survival expeditions in the wilderness. A multipurpose receptacle is definitely one of them: for storage, washing or simply to keep things clean and away from dirt and dust. Our folding bowl made from 100% Nylon is just made for that. It is much lighter than solid plastic or aluminum bowls and requires much less storing space in your backpack or on your person. It simply folds up into a small roll and is neatly held together by a sturdy strap that is sewn onto the outside. The interior PU-coating makes the folding bowl absolutely watertight and also allows for easy cleaning. D-rings, straps and loops attached to the sides can be used to hang the bowl from lines, hooks or branches to dry it out or to store food items away from ground dwelling insects. Applications and uses for our folding bowl are virtually limitless – and that applies not only in the wilderness. Tool roll wash small toiletry bag Our Nakatanenga Bear loves to scrub up and keeps everything neat, tidy and protected. That’s why we are introducing our own hanging wash bag with the bear logo on it, for travel, outdoor and camping. Everything else out there hasn’t really done it for us, so we made some key improvements to the most important details and put them all in one cool roll! Advantage #1 for our Nakatanenga toiletry bag: lots of mesh! We’re using great amounts of mesh material especially in the interior zip bag area, so that the wash roll can dry off quickly after you’ve been to a tiny wet room. If your shampoo or deodorant has leaked again, you can quickly rinse the mesh in a sink or basin. The wash bags exterior is Nylon PU-coated and therefore extremely robust, easy to clean and water resistant. Advantage #2: our firm G-hook! Even brand wash bags often sport these cheap round hooks that come off with the slightest movement or push. As a result, your personal hygiene items are too often scattered on less than appealing bathroom floors. Our G-hook closes the rolled-up wash bag tightly and you can also use it to hang the bag securely in windy or cramped places. We also enclose a hooked suction cup to firmly fix the bag to smooth surfaces like tiles or glass. Advantage #3: Roll it up! Roll beats bag, anytime, even when it comes to wash bags. Rolling up your gear minimizes the required storage space and holds everything tightly in place, thereby preventing damage to the bag or your hygiene articles by pointy or sharp objects within. When containers are firmly held together, they are also less likely to accidentally open up and spill the contents. There are two additional loops inside to hold your razor, toothbrush or similar. A water-resistant pocket keeps moisture sensitive items like band aids or medication dry and clean. Advantage #4: Velcro! Your mirror is kept in place by a Velcro patch. If you need to clean the mirror or use it in your hand, it’s easily taken off the bag. A second Velcro patch on the outside can be used for personalizing your wash roll. Just get one of our handy ID patches and write your name on it. No more accidental grabbing of someone else’s stuff. Socket nut holder How can you improve our ingenious Tool Rolls when it comes to making them more compact, more functional and even quicker to access? By adding one or two of our ½“ and ¼“ organizers for socket wrench sets, of course. It’s really easy, attach the socket organizer’s Velcro strap to the Tool Roll’s fleece, push the sockets onto the studded clips and roll the whole thing up. There you go, that’s order and organization for you. No more fumbling around in oily pouches or cluttered boxes to find the right sockets. The high-quality holders feature 8 studs each for half or quarter inch sockets. The smaller Tool Roll S fits one organizer, the medium M will fit two across. The studded brackets holding the sockets sport metal ball bearings, just like a quality ratchet, thereby guaranteeing a firm and secure grip during storage and transport. Additionally, the individual brackets can be shifted (or removed entirely) to accommodate different socket sizes. Inside the Tool Roll, the organizer is held in place by a robust Velcro strip made from sturdy Nylon and strengthened by a plastic plate. The organizer rail in turn is attached to the Velcro strip by two elastic straps. That way you can easily take out the organizer rail or swap it for another one, without compromising the exact positioning within the Tool Roll. FAQ – Tool Rolls & Maintenance
How do I clean and care for a tool roll?
Shake out loose dirt and remove residue with a brush or damp cloth. The material is fully washable – simply wash at 30°C using mild detergent (no harsh chemicals or fabric softener). Clean inner pockets and Velcro areas with a cloth or brush. Let it dry thoroughly, ideally hanging in the open air. Nylon is water-repellent, quick-drying, and low-maintenance.
Can a tool roll be repaired?
Absolutely. Since we manufacture ourselves, repairs are no problem. Open seam, broken buckle, small tear, or a custom request? Just contact us – we’ll see what can be done.
What fits inside the Tool Roll Mini?
The Mini Tool Roll is available as the Tool Roll Hungry with cutlery, but it also works perfectly solo. Charging cables, Allen keys, pens, or small tool sets fit just as well as paintbrushes or art supplies.
Are the tool rolls pre-filled?
Not all of them. The Tool Roll Spice comes with empty spice containers. The Tool Roll Hungry is available in Mini and Maxi, both with and without cutlery – including premium cutlery and knives from WMF.
Can tool rolls be hung up?
Yes – that’s exactly what they’re made for. Especially practical for the Tool Roll Wash, Tool Roll Spice, and Tool Roll Maxi Hungry. Depending on the size, the roll can be hung using two or three D-rings on a wall, vehicle, or tree branch. The Tool Roll Mini has no eyelets – it doesn’t need them.
How do I assemble a modular tool roll setup?
The base is a plate in size S or M. Velcro pouches in S or M can be attached to it (one M-pouch equals two S-pouches in width). Up to four pouches fit on one M-plate. Additional options include magnetic plates for screws, wrench or socket holders, and matching work mats. Those who prefer plug-and-play can choose from ready-to-use sets – practical and immediately functional.
