It is of crucial importance for the transmission of power between the winch and the anchorage point and must also be able to be operated safely in stressful situations. Winch rope 10 mm x 30 m Steel or synthetics? With winch ropes that is often something of a religious question. However, the trend is now quite clearly to high-performance synthetic fibers, the steel in the ratio strength to weight are often superior and otherwise bring in handling many benefits.  The advantages of our 30 m synthetic rope compared to steel are manifold, but above all there are two main arguments: safety and weight. When steel cables break, heavy, sharp-edged metal lashes through the air uncontrollably, causing damage and the worst possible injuries. Should our new 2.3 kg light rope really reach the 9.5 t breaking load once, the ends will simply fall to the ground. Even when handling the steel cable, cuts caused by loose or broken wires are not uncommon, but excluded in synthetics. In addition, the much lighter Dyneem rope not only relieves the operator, the car also benefits in terms of statics and driving characteristics. Synthetic ropes are low maintenance, washable, easy to roll up and down due to low friction, and are less sensitive to UV, chemical and oil products, abrasion and fatigue due to kinking than many other synthetic fibers. They absorb hardly any water and are extremely flexible with a low length elasticity of around 5%. The high-quality workmanship of our synthetic rope is shown in detail:To accommodate the pull hook in the eye splice, the 12mm thimble is made of stainless steel, as well as the 7 mm eyelet for attachment to the winch. Additional protection against frictional heat and abrasion is provided by polyester protective sleeves on both ends of the rope. So that nothing rubs off or splices at the splices, they are hot-shrink-sealed. The Nakatanenga winch rope is available in gray or orange. Nakatanenga winch bundle SX 10SR or SX 12SR for Land Rover Defender In the Nakatanenga winch bundle for the Land Rover Defender, you get everything you need for safe and reliable self or third-party recovery:The basis is the proven Nakatanenga NAWIBU2 winch bumper, which is equally suitable for Defender with or without air conditioning. The bumper, which is manufactured locally for us, is powder-coated black and reliably protects the front of the vehicle even during tough off-road use. The raised corners of the bumper improve the vehicle's slope angle. The two integrated, swivelling recovery eyes are ideal for self-recovery and recovery by others - or for hooking in the pulley, which is also supplied and doubles the pulling force of the winch or makes difficult recoveries possible in the first place. The design of the winch bumper allows for easy registration by means of a fee-based individual approval.There is the optional possibility of mounting two 70 mm spotlights recessed - so they are optimally protected against damage in the terrain. We use modern LED driving lights from Nolden, which provide excellent light with low power consumption (only 1.1 A per headlight). They have an E-mark and can therefore be used without registration. The rope drum has a patented lighting system.It is used for commercial recovery of rolling loads. The winches have a synthetic fibre rope made of high-strength fibre instead of the conventional steel rope. Registration as an "equipment carrier cable winch" is possible at numerous test centres without any problems by means of individual acceptance for which a charge is made. We recommend prior consultation with the local, authorised test engineer - or alternatively registration in our company. For this purpose, we require the vehicle with mounted bumper incl. cable winch on site. You can also mount the bumper yourself - we will then take care of the registration! It is suitable for all Land Rover Defender 90/110/130 and allows an well hidden mounting of many common winches while maintaining a very "civil" look.
